Wow, no parties for nearly a year?! This is what happens when Mika gets busy!
In honour of the French album, I propose a French feast. (* All options in this thread are also veggie/vegan/gluten free/dairy free/non-alcoholic/calorie free!)
Let's start with a champagne toast. Que ta tête fleurisse toujours!
A selection of savoury canapés.
Traditional snails (I'll pass thanks)
Salad Niçoise
Coq au vin
Bouef bourguignon
Sole meunière
Ratatouille (does not contain rat)
Flan pâtissiere
Croquembouche bouche bouche bouche...
A selection of gateaux and sweet pastries
Tea, coffee and liquers will be served later.
Enjoy!
Have I heard anything about a party?
Thank you for preparing.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to buy tickets for Mika's gig at the Lucca Festival on TicketOne. If I should end up not needing one, will a different name on the ticket be an issue? Will I just need to find another fan who is interested in my extra ticket?
TicketOne usually gives you the opportunity to sell your ticket via the FanSale after a while. Otherwise I can't tell you how strict the Lucca Festival is with the names.

I assume you've seen the stories by now. Mika came out at the artist exit after his performance at La Star Academy. We lined up and he gave everyone an autograph and also took most of the presents, even though he was traveling on a motorcycle.

I am so sorry for everybody... Mika has tears in his eyes.... For sure it was very important for him to be in Paris.
I hope he will make it for La Star Academie tonight.
I hope too that he will make it to La Star Academy. I will try and give him my gifts after the broadcast if he is there.

I know it's just a rumour and only a random person made the lineup but if you believe that Mika COULD be there as well, there are tickets going on sale on 10am UK time, so in 25 min:
https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/content/extras
However, there is written for "Inner & Outer Zone residents", so probably only for UK people in a certain zone...
OK, I tried to get through and I got through, that's what it says:
As I understand it, you have to pay £25 if you cancel your deposit and the deposit itself is £75, so it's not worth it, since we have no idea if Mika will actually be there.
And it won't also not work, since I don't have a registration number yet.

Sure, I know. That's why I'm very grateful to you for asking.
The resale does not start until April. I hope by then we will have a better plan of what Mika will be doing in the summer.

Well, yes registration is free. But while the ticket can be returned for resale, it's a lot of money -£360 - to be out of pocket until any refund is processed, which could impact some people's ability to attend confirmed gigs elsewhere. I just didn't want anyone wasting their time/resources, if they didn't realise it's a fake list.

BUT it looks as though the flyer above was just someone's wishlist posted on Reddit for fun, and not a real one issued by Glasto. Unless you've a burning desire and the money to spare, save your cash for the confirmed Mika gigs.
Registration costs nothing (except time😅 ) and if you buy a ticket (or rather manage to😅) and Mika won't be performing there, you can easily resell it as the demand is greater than the supply.
If I let me persuadate to do a large translation job and therefore missed out on a lot of Mika stuff (interviews, discussions about songs etc.) because I didn't have time, I at least want to use the money for a Mika concert. 😅But I don't know yet whether I would really go. I'm still waiting to see where else Mika will be performing in the summer to decide when I should take my holiday.
31 minutes ago, Hero said:Heard back from them about the registration:
Thank you for your enquiry. Registration is currently closed for the November ticket sale period, however it will reopen a little later in the year when it should be possible to submit a new registration for future ticket sales, including any resales!
Thank you for asking!

When I read it earlier, I thought it said that registration closed prior to the main ticket sales this month, but then reopened once the main tickets were sold, ready for the April resale.
I saw this as well, but it doesn't seem that they reopened it. Thanks for asking!

Yes, if anyone is interested in resale tickets make sure you're registered with them now. If you're not registered you can't get tickets.
I think it's not possible to register right now :

"The Pilgrim's Progress" was 1997 not "Die Frau ohne Schatten". "Die Frau ohne Schatten" was his first appearance and that was 1992.

Mika has often said that he had his first performances at the Royal Opera House with Die Frau ohne Schatten:

Ok, I haven't dared to ask for a day off at work for a long time, I have now asked and got the day off. I made the request to Emissions TV on Tuesday and the reply was: "Your request has been taken into account. You will be contacted quickly by our team."
I haven't heard anything yet. Do any of you know from experience approximately how long you have to wait for an acceptance or rejection?

I do have to say that most tickets are so expensive for this year is there a reason for that ?
What I've noticed is that tickets for Mika (concerts and festivals) tend to be more expensive in the UK than in France, for example.

It's possible to buy tickets already, but you need to sign up and wait for the e-mail:
I bought a general admission ticket.

I'm not sure if that's really the case or Mika just worded it badly, i.e. he took people who work with him away from their work in Hollywood to work on this project.
On 10/27/2023 at 9:37 PM, mellody said:But I guess that's just how Mika is, going from one extreme to another. No new album for 4 years, and then not only a new album but about a million other projects at the same time. I hope he doesn't forget the English album over all that.
To be fair, Mika has also released a soundtrack album before the French album.
On 10/28/2023 at 1:50 PM, Kumazzz said:You also worked a lot on the choir mix. The project initially experienced outrage from supporters and then found a second wind, in which you participated.
I wonder what his role was before? Why didn't they integrate Mika from the beginning when doing the anthems? Was it too expensive and in the end they had no choice but to ask him? Was he just a token patron and had to smile into the camera?

19 hours ago, carafon said:That's not very surprising.
This is a major sport event , they want to talk about the match .
Yes, I'm afraid @carafon is right. Nevertheless, they could have interrupted their conversations for 5 minutes, as it was only 5 minutes. I agree with Mika, longer would not have been good as people are there to watch the Rugby World Cup final and not a pop concert. How would we feel if 20 minutes of rugby was played before a mika concert? I wish more people would be like Mika and Jim Hamilton and accept each other (the music and sports world) instead of being against each other and that goes both ways.
19 hours ago, carafon said:The show was great , but tbh , I'd find more logical to ask him to sing the hymns with the kids .
Or an aftershow like he did after the top 14 final.
Yes, the sports fans would have had more fun if Mika had sung the anthems instead of his songs. But of course it's better for his career, so other people get to know his songs who otherwise don't listen to him.
Yes, agreed at an aftershow Mika could have sung longer, but how many people would have stayed in the stadium?
19 hours ago, carafon said:Btw , apart myself who is watching the whole match ?
I didn't because I'm very busy and I know zero about rugby. I used to watch a lot of sport as a child and also as a young adult, but since rugby is not popular at all in Switzerland, I don't know it at all (at the most, I saw rugby in a short summary of a sports programme, but I can't remember).
2 hours ago, Valerie L said:It makes me sad to read negatives comments on Twitter (on the rugby World Cup page), because he works so hard and invested so much, and delivered a fantastic show. I hope he will read all our positives comments !
😊🙏I see what you mean. I saw the video of Mika's performance on Instagram that rugbyworldcup and Mika posted and the first comments that were there were people complaining about the game followed by posts saying Mika's performance sucked. Now it looks better. I understand that people are upset about the referee and so on, but do they have to post that everywhere, including Mika's performance? Yes of course they have to, they want attention. And yes, haters are everywhere... and the spectators in the stadium applauded for Mika.
Now for Mika's performance: Yes, it was great, but unlike the others, I didn't pay much attention to Mika's disco ball outfit, but to the colourful suits. 😅
