  1. Oh wow! I think a venue upgrade is possible, she's gaining popularity everywhere. Performing at coachella is a huge thing for a small artist who's just starting out, so fingers crossed for her!
  2. Ohh finally some Chappell appreciation! I love her I became obsessed with her when she dropped her debut album, can't wait to hear more. Have you seen that she's coming to Europe soon? London, Paris, maybe Amsterdam if I remember correctly. She's an amazing performer. Every gig during her tour had its own theme, so everyone can get dressed up accordingly, so fun. Pink Pony Club is my fav song I hope I get the chance to see her on her next tour or something, right now I can't afford to travel to a Western country again (I did it for Mika, it was worth it ofc)
  3. Hey! Just a heads up for anyone planning to go by plane with Brussels Airlines. The strike of the pilots was delayed, so it will take place between 27 and 31 March Watch out for delayed and cancelled flights. You may consider other travel options.
  4. Does anyone know if the album release is at midnight or later during the day?
  5. Do you think there will be a music video for Jane Birkin as well? It's my absolute favourite from the 3 songs already released, I can't explain how but it makes me feel so many emotions at the same time, I feel my heart is about to explode every time I listen to it
  6. Oh and I don't know if it was pointed out earlier, but take a look at the vinyl, there IS a lyrics booklet. You can see Amour Pirate, even if it's a bit blurry. So the mystery of baisse or baise will be solved (Sorry if it was already mentioned)
  7. You're absolutely right. I'm a bit surprised how many people find this lyrics too explicit or even vulgar (but it's completely okay if you feel that way, no offense!), but I want to point out that today - in 2023 - there is nothing strange about explicit lyrics, even if it's about LGBTQ relationships. Oh and that's another thing about this song: it could be about ANYONE, ofc we know Mika and we know that it's about his own feelings and experiences but you can interpret it any way you want. Correct me if I'm wrong but I see no indication of gender in these lyrics, it says WE and there is no sign of HE or HIM or anything. I mean just look at the mainstream pop music of today, it's SO oversexualized in every way. I think it's just too much sometimes, for my taste. Look at Sam Smith, Kim Petras ... or Troye Sivan's most recent video where he's dressed up as a woman (and looks absolutely gorgeous btw). All LGBTQ artists, being very open about sexuality. And people love it. Mika is not a mainstream artist and I think we all know he is much more than that but he can be open about this topic as well, while keeping his own personality and artistry. I think his songs about sex are always on spot, he is never vulgar. These lyrics are graphic (but not too much) I agree with @QueenBigFat and it conveys this feeling of burning desire very well. I'm pretty sure he had so much fun writing this song (and all the others on the album), it must be a freeing experience for him. But I still think there's nothing peculiar about AC, not even for a Mika song. I hope I didn't offend anyone! I know, songs are a bit more fun when they leave something to the imagination, but this time I can deal with that
  8. I'm known as being very critical when it comes to music, but I have to say that melodically I like it much more than C'est la vie. I never have high expectations based on a title or anything, so maybe that's why I loved it at first listen Personally I don't have a problem with explicit lyrics, Mika knows how to make it poetic at the same time. It's not my favourite song but I really love it! I agree, however, that it would be better if it was more upbeat. But overall it's very dreamlike and soft, the melody fits the lyrics well. I was also hoping that the French songs would boost my vocabulary, well ... now I can surely talk about some "inapproriate" stuff
  9. What do you think, which part of the song could this snippet be? My guess is pre-chorus. It's gonna be sooo good I can't wait!
  10. The artwork is so beautiful, can't wait to hold it in my hands! Can someone translate/explain this part please? I used Google translate but I just can't comprehend it. I see the 3 stickers but what does the other stuff mean? Une pochette PVC imprimée recto verso, fermeture à rabat avec un sticker rond transparent Un sticker Mika avec découpe du papier holographique stické sur pochette PVC 3 stickers holographiques différents dans la pochette (stickers unitaires, pas sous planche)
  11. I guess it also depends on our own personal experiences. I'm sure some characteristics of eastern cities might freak out western people and vice versa. It's up to our individual perceptions, what we consider safe or comfortable. You're right. Thanks for reassuring me, I feel a bit better now about this trip
  12. Thank you! Many people (and statistics) say eastern european capital cities are safer in general. But based on your experience in Paris I think it should be okay! I'm sorry if my post sounded weird, that's me, worrying about getting back to a hotel 5 months from now
  13. Hey guys, I need some advice does any of you live near Brussels? So I already started making reservations, looking for accomodation etc. I don't know why but this city gives me so much anxiety, I heard many bad stories about certain neighborhoods. Reading the news and hearing about the recent shootings does not help... I'm from eastern europe, I'm used to tough places but ... I've never been to western countries I don't know much about the western understanding of a "tough neighborhood" Any recommendations? Especially if you live in Brussels I would like to know what is the reality. Thank you so much!
  14. Very true! I saw the videos too, it was so nice to see how civilised they were. And Mika certainly appreciates a well-behaved crowd.
  15. Yes, it makes sense that keeping Mika and everyone safe is top priority. I hope everything will be well organized and people won't be so pushy and demanding, like those who keep touching and grabbing at him when he enters the crowd during shows. Sometimes I worry about him. If I met him, or any other famous person I would definitely try to be as polite as possible and not to make a bad impression - even if they don't remember me at all, but still
  16. I see, thank you! Let's hope for the best! Either way, seeing him live is more than enough to make me happy
  17. Brussels I wouldn't consider it a huge venue, but definitely more people than in Tarvisio Yess I read your report, you were so lucky and he was such a sweetheart! It was a special gig for many reasons
  18. Hello it was so nice reading all your lovely stories!! I'm still bummed I couldn't wait for him to come out after the Tarvisio gig it would have been such a great opportunity... But only 5 months from now, we'll get the chance to see him again!! I'm asking everyone who usually stays after a concert: what are the odds of seeing him? I mean does he come out to greet fans or to sign things after almost every event (even if it's only a few minutes) or is it a rare occasion? Based on your stories, he does this most of the time, but I'm not sure So, "experienced Mika fans", what do you think?
  19. Hali!:) Sikerült venned jegyet a pre-salen? Látom az állójegyek elég hamar elfogytak
  20. I know it was posted recently but now I just can't find anywhere the new promo pictures of Mika, where were these posted? I mean the pictures of him in a white suit with the big flower, lying on the ground, barefoot ... Where are they??
  21. So is the pre-sale for the French dates only? I'm a bit confused. Also: more dates are coming in additional countries, according to Mika's Instagram story!
