dont ya think

it would be so awsome

I think it would be even more awesome if he came to Toronto, but yeah it will be nice when he comes back to North America. :biggrin2:

Yes, the consensus is that he MUST come back "across the pond"

as they say... but we're looking at well into the new year for that, I guess. :sneaky2:

I think that's why so many of us (and how many of us

are there, anyway?) are heading to the UK to see him --

the mountain going to Mohammed, so to speak :wink2:

Yeah, I tend to think that he probably will not come back "over here" until the Spring or so, as he will be busy working on the new album, etc. I just hope that I don't have Uni at the time, because if he doesn't come close (Atlanta, I consider close, though it's 3.5 hours away), I want to travel.

:naughty: I wrote that in one of my RSVPs in the gigs section.

I got tired of waiting around for his sorry ass to come to Canada. :sneaky2:

From what he told me, he will be coming to Missouri, but ya never can count on some things. hmph.

Hopefully he will include several states (including Texas) if/when he comes back.

If he plays some remote places, I think I'll come down. Probably our last chance to see Mika in a smallish venue. I'm pretty sure when he returns to Toronto it will be at a proper seated concert hall.

Manda, I just yesterday ran across your youtube video again -- the one

where you met Mika and told him he needed to go to Missouri?

I was looking for something else and there it was. :)

Seems like a long time ago now, doesn't it? Still it was great to see it

again! :biggrin2:

No, I'm just sorry that his ass...okay I'm not going to go there :blush-anim-cl:

LOL! I know... you kind of paint yourself into a corner if you go any

further... I was having trouble wording my posts, as well :roftl:

So... to get back on topic...

When do we think Mika might actually return to our part of the world? :fisch:

Glad you got a kick out of the video. Every now and again when I watch it it seems like such a long time ago that it took place, but it really wasn't that long ago!

Hopefully, when he comes back the MFC members will have more nice meetings with him. :)

and trust me , money and time is harder to come by!!! HE MUST COME TO VANCOUVER! I've already let many radio stations know my eagerness and they know me my name now for sure!

It's so hard to say. He said in the summer that the whole LiCM project was going to come to an end and at the time I took that to mean he would finish up the UK, take a Christmas break and get to work on a new album.

But since then he has pushed back the US tour and I hear that Martin recently said they were taking December off, which kind of implies that they will be starting up again afterwards.

I think the opportunity for LiCM to take off in the US has passed and he'd be better to just getting working on a second album and try again next time. It would probably be a bit of a letdown for him personally to have to backtrack after this huge European tour, but I guess he'll have to do that eventually if he plans to break in the States ever.

If does go straight into a second album in January I don't know how they're going to handle the release and tour schedule this time to avoid the pitfalls of this year. I would imagine the UK and France will again take top priority because he's going to sell the most albums there to start.

So um, in conclusion, I have no bloody idea when he's coming back. :roftl:

Christine...where in Toronto would you like to see him perform?

Here in Van/Vic most likely GM place or Queen E or Orpheum

GM place has Spice Girls (sold out) and Michael Buble (sold out in Vic and almost sold out in Van)

we get big names here! :)

Preferably in my living room! I've done enough running around for Mika. He needs to just come over to my place now and save me the hassle. :wink2:

When we were expecting him in August I thought he would play the Kool Haus or the Phoenix which are large clubs that hold about 1,500 people. Now I'm thinking a Massey Hall sized venue is more likely. It's about the same size and layout as the Orpheum.

I lived in Vancouver in 1992/93 and was working for Barenaked Ladies booking agency so I had front row for their concert at the Orpheum. It's a great venue.

I saw U2 at BC Place which was fantastic. I had 13th row which was too far back for my tastes, but my seats were next to a catwalk and Bono spent the entire concert right beside me. The people in the front rows had to turn around to watch him.
