Awesome. I would totally live by a lake.

I want to move downtown but I've heard it's expensive.

cities are always expensive, but as much as i hate that and all the smog in them, i still like being in them. There is always something going on ro something to do, unlike here. :naughty:

We're supposed to get big storm soon, i hope the power stays on....:boxed:

i like rain, but i don't like storms. We've had a storm nearly every day this week. I don't like it a bit. :boxed:

fine be that way.:bleh:

Yeah, I know what you mean. I like it when there's rain and don't even mind a storm but only enjoy it when it's out of the blue type thing.

Hello lovely Canadians. I figured since so many of you come and invade the Aussie thread (and since my in-laws are Canadians) I might come and return the favour.

And I bring sunshine too!

You're coming with your parents or the school? The Old Montreal is definitely a place to visit! http://www.vieux.montreal.qc.ca/eng/accueila.htm I suggest this restaurant: http://www.jardinnelson.com/ It's Véro's favourite and I've been there 3 times with her and it's really nice! You're outside but there are heaters and umbrellas if the weather isn't nice/ and a live jazz band

The Mount Royal is also a beautiful place: http://www.lemontroyal.qc.ca/en_index2.html

You have to see the Olympic Stadium :roftl:http://www.rio.gouv.qc.ca/index2.jsp?locale=en

And the Botanical Garden next to the stadium: http://www2.ville.montreal.qc.ca/jardin/jardin.htm

And if you like shopping, you have to get downtown!

There's also a SIx Flags: http://www.laronde.com/larondeen/

That's what I could think of right now...

if you like chocolate (i assume you do...)

you have to stop by this place called

http://www.yummybaguette.com/magasin-photo.php-id=156.htm

and of course, the BEST place for a poutine is still debatable... depending who you speak too

lol

Thank you so much, this helps a lot. This all looks really nice. It's just a family trip- my mom especially really likes Montreal. Looks like there are a lot of near places=]
