We waited behind, in the torrential rain - and Kath and I stayed because we were waiting for our lift home - then we were all called inside a tent at the back of the place - and he did a quick (almost an hour) meet and greet!!! Were they that bad... I've never seen such a multitude of bad reviews before... I feel quite sorry for them... Though I remember seeing a support band for Red Hot Chilli Peppers in Hyde Park once and they were being booed by the second song... then got bottled off... lol... Laurel Posted July 14, 2008 Author Share Posted July 14, 2008 Ooooh I actually meant to ask how long the Meet And Greet was... so nearly an hour... awwww he's a sweety - specially as he must have been tired.... Yep just remembered that the band who supported RHCP were called Chicks On Speed... that was one of the worst reactions I've ever seen to a support band.... they were dreadful though... not really appropriate for a Rock Band support act... I remember the lead singer of RHCP during the gig asked the crowd to cheer for the support act who'd been on and noone would and some booed again... he got in abit of a strop.... He spoke to me for a minute or so, then spoke to Kath. Near the end people started to follow him, and we HAD been told to stay seated, and that he would not talk, pose for pictures, or sign anything. I was kinda worried the security guys would come and "get" me, as we had been told he would NOT talk!! He grabbed my sore shoulder, in an affectionate way - and that was agony!!!! But I was saying nothing - just joked that his new song "Rain" was very effective as he had commented that I was soaking wet!!! Saw the wheelchair seats when we came out, mika must have been a dot to you. but there where screens.
