Mikafied songs

   I have recently re-read Aki's Mikafied version of the poem Night Before Christmas (which is awesome by the way!), and I was inspired to Mikafy a song myself!

   If you are of a creative mind yourself and wish to Mikafy other well known songs too, then this is the thread for you!

   I recently watched My Fair Lady and ended up with the song 'Get Me to the Church on Time' stuck in my head for a long time afterward. I slowly started changing the words to be more Mika related and after some time I had my own Mika version of the song!

I haven't Mikafied the whole song because it goes on for ages. So I just stuck to the main chorus, which I've done in three parts. Part 1 is as if your singing about yourself, part 2 is as if Mika fans are singing and part 3 is as if Mika himself is singing.

(quite proud of the second verse in part 1, if I do say so myself 😌)

I changed Church to Gig. So I present to you:

I am also working on Mikafying another song (from another well known musical 😎), which I'll hopefully post soon.

While I'm still working on another song, I wrote a Mika version of Soft Kitty (from The Big Bang Theory - Sheldon Cooper), it's just something short and silly! 😅

Sitting and chatting here and waiting patiently

For the next album, which we need so desperately.

Looks like it won't arrive before September

 

It doesn't matter whether trees are brown or green

We are all indoors glued to our computer screens

For just a piece of news about your new CD.

How will we last until September?

 

Our friends look forward to their picnics on the beach

Everybody loves their summer fun

But you know, Mika, while your album's out of reach

We will just sit here looking glum.

 

We can't make any plans, for holidays or more,

Until we know the dates for your acoustic tour.

Please give us some new songs and end our misery.

I guess we'll have to wait until September

Just listened to the original song a few times to familiarise myself with the tune (I've never heard the song before) and your Mikafied version is really wonderful and fits so well! 

 

Even though we're past September this year, the song seems highly appropriate for Mika fans at the moment waiting for his next album! 😁

My next Mikafied musical song is to the tune of Jolly Holiday from the film Mary Poppins.

I've just done the main chorus and the last verse that Bert sings in the original (which is 4.54 minutes into the above link!).

 

Bert sings that verse quite fast (like a rap I guess? 😅) with other girls names, so I've included names of people Mika has performed with! (plus a special man and 2 dogs , proud of that verse, it took me ages to work out!)

That's why when I do share a Mikafied song I also share a link to the original in case people aren't familiar with the tune. It can help to just get the music in your head before reading the new Mika version!
