I have made one flower which looks pretty much like the Mika's one in the video C'est la vie.

But mine is ecru not pale pink - I didn't find a fabric of this color.

And it's big  - about 20 cm of diameter :original:

:lustslow: That's fabulous!

How pretty and elegant it is.

You sew very well.

I tested today a new idea of making flowers.

I found a pack of fabric petals in a supermarket - they are for weddings or baby shower parties.

It's a waxed fabric pressed petals (something like 600 in one pack for about 2 EUR).

I tried to make a flower using a hot glue gun.

It was really easy and quick. I will make some more for Lille and Rouen.

I found only red and white petals but I bought only red ones as I was not sure if they would be useful for creation.

If you want to try here is a video I made.

My first attempt...

A peony made with tissues. 4 tissues of 3 layers. Really easy to make but fragile.

I'm a bit late but I would like to say it's a great idea Anna :)
I found others sellers of big flower brooch, they are so expensive but I think very beautiful. They look like the one Mika is wearing !

Yes, usually the flowers like this are very expensive. That's why it's better to make them by yourself. For more Mika love everything hand made

If you think they are resistant enough to survive, why not?

good call. now thinking about it I doubt if it could last the tube ride from my home to the venue
a few reinforcement measure have now been applied including water repellent spray :lol3:
I have seated tickets so fingers crossed they would last! (There's no chance they could survive in the standing pit:lol3:)
