You guys think there will be a party or something after the concert???

usually there are parties after but i dunno about this time. My moms been to the 930 Club a lot & she says they open doors at 730 but the opening band doesnt play till around 8-830ish & then the headliner (in this case Mika) probably wont go on till around 930-10ish. Eventually the show will end around 11-1130 or later if u stay to see him to get autographs & pics (which we all are?!). Then after DC he's off to Boston for a show that day & thats a good long drive or flight so maybe a party is just too much. Sad tho, im sure it would be fun.

Is this place big does anyone know???

Like how many people do you think will be there?

I read that it holds about 1200 -- I have no idea if the crowd will

be a sellout, though. They still haven't announced the show to the

general public -- not on the club's website yet, either.

What would be the purpose of not announcing it? I don't understand, why wouldn't the want as many people as possible to know?

and i'm thinking.....

more people must see MIKA!!!!!!!!!!!!:punk: :punk:

but at the same time, i'm thinking.............

smaller crowd, more opportunity to meet him and the band!??!!:biggrin2::wink2:

I agree with you... on both counts!

I don't know why it hasn't been announced yet, though -- it seems the 9:30 Club only has dates listed up to the first few days of June so far...

But June 12 is just

40 DAYS away!!!

I agree, we must make sure that the DC concert is not advertised at all. Then it will be just us, wouldn't that be nice.:biggrin2::woot_jump:

it would be nice...

- but i would hate for the gig to be canned because there werent enough people there!

Exactly -- that would be, well...

I'm sure they'll advertise it soon -- maybe starting this weekend, since

it'll be about a month away by then...

Tickets have just been announced on the 9:30 club's website!

It lists an opening act: Sara Bareilles.

I saw her open for Mika at the Gramercy show. She's pretty good!

I can't wait!!

I'm a little worried. I haven't got my tickets in the mail yet though.:sneaky2:

I'd be worried, too -- I got mine last week. They're coming from

California, but still... you should probably have them by now!

As for the opener -- I've never heard of her, but listening to the few songs she has on myspace, I like her well enough...

I'm pretty darn excited for June, too! :)

Sooo...who all is staying after the concert to meet him?

Kinda nervous...don't know what I would say if I saw him

I think there are several of us planning to stay after the show -- and I hope

all the MFC people are going to hang together! :)

Well, I just checked this morning's Washington Post and MIKA is finally

mentioned in the 9:30 Club's ad -- but it's really teeeny tiny print, so maybe just enough people will see it to buy tickets so that they don't cancel the show... but not so many that we'll have to share Mika with too many others! :)
