  1. Haha, I do that too. Mine are what I call lime green right now but my mom says it looks like baby poop green. Whatever.
  2. I almost forgot about that! It was funny because when he was just messing around with it at first, it didn't sound like a trumpet at all so I was like Ok Mika, sure. Then when he did it for real, I was like wow. And the silly string was funny, too.
  3. I meant to comment on the hat thing. I was wondering who Mika stopped and looked at, now I know it was you, haha. It was so obvious that you caught his attention, it like stopped him in his tracks.
  4. That's extremely cool, especially since you've never even met him before. I mean, it's one thing for him to recognize someone he's already met but it's entirely another for him to know who are you guys are but never having seen you before. It shows he pays attention and that he obviously loves your artwork.
  5. Word. I agree with this but I'm gonna have to build on it slightly and add some more things I don't like at concerts. At the concert in Chicago, there were several failed attempts at trying to get up one row...one row...seriously? What you see in row 3 is basically the same as row 2. Anyway... Attempt #1: Calling out random fake names and proclaiming loudly that you know your "friend" is somewhere near the front. Doesn't work, especially when your other friend who's with you isn't on the same page and keeps asking, "Who are you talking about?" Attempt #2: Gradually leaning into the person in front of you until you make them lose your balance and then steal their spot. Works for about a second until everyone pushes back. At this point you have pissed off everyone around you so they are all ganging up on you. You might as well give up, but oh no, you still think you have a few tricks up your sleeve. Attempt #3: When the smoke comes out at the beginning and no one can see a darn thing, you try to make a mad dash for the front. Again, doesn't work because unfortunately for you, everyone instinctly knows it's you and guesses what you are doing and blocks you. Attempt #4: Constantly ramming into the person in front of you, attempting to annoy them so much that they let you take their spot. Then when you get called out, you lie and say it's not your fault because people are pushing you from behind even though you just tried to take advantage of the smoke and push your way to the front. Obviously this doesn't work either because everyone knows you're lying. Attempt #5: Never even happens because the guy next to you calls you an a**hole and tells you to grow the f*** up. Actually, I wasn't even mad at this girl, I was just amused that she was pulling out all the tricks. It was like she came prepared.
  6. That was really cool when he put on your hat. It was funny when he saw it, it was like he had to have it, haha. The crowd cheered really loudly too when he put it on.
  7. This picture is kind of crazy because it's like Mika and his band next to miniature Mika and his band.
  8. Funny you show mention that. We all thought we smelled pot, to be honest. I wanna know what type of smoke was coming out of those smoke machines. Anyway, obviously I went. I actually wasn't going to go, but I decided since I'm on fall break all week and I knew some people that were going, I thought, "what the hell?" and bought the ticket Monday night. We left fairly early and got into Chicago around 1ish, but we got bad directions and the wrong address so we sort of walk aimlessly around Chicago for about two hours, but we found it so it's all good. People (at least the ones that we talked to) in Chicago seriously underestimate how far a person can walk. It didn't seem too long standing in line. So we get in there and wait, blah, blah, blah. We made friends with the two guys behind us, they were hilarious. Gary Go came on and I must say, I definitely appreciated the quick set. I didn't go to the House of Blues show but I heard the Midway State took forever. The best thing an opening act can do is be brief. Once the show started, everything went by really fast, you know the drill. This time, though, Mika must have heard my gripes from two years ago that he completely ignored the left side of the stage (I like the left side so I can stare at Martin) because he came over a lot this time. I believe we even made eye contact once, though, I tend to get annoyed when people talk about this. The only reason I bring this up was that there was a bit of an awkward moment that I could very well have completely made up in my head. It seemed that Mika was looking right at me so what do I do? I whip out my camera, haha, and as soon as I go to take the picture, it's like he looked at me and walked away on purpose right when I was taking the picture. Probably never happened, though. I haven't been a very diligent Mika fan lately, because I bought his new album Monday and hadn't even listened to all of the songs until the car ride there so obviously I didn't know the words. I had even forgotten words to the older songs, yikes. Completely loved the glow-in-dark thing. I'm 19-years-old, and I still have glow in the dark stars all over my room. Also, loved the black and white at the beginning and then the neon colors at the end. I own a dress very similar to the black and white one that the backup singer was wearing. By the way, I LOVED her. I caught myself watching her more than Mika. The fingernail polish was great. And then her dress at the end was awesome. When I showed my mom the pictures I took, she goes, "That is so you." I didn't get the skeleton and the other stuff from the last set of concerts, but man, it was almost like Mika tapped into my brain on this one, haha. There wasn't really anything I didn't like about this one. We didn't stay after. Actually, we sort of did. In our group of four, two wanted to stay, and two didn't, which included me. The other girl had a curfew of 1 (which we completely blew, she got back at 3:30.) and I really didn't care to stay, it wasn't a priority of mine to meet him again. So we waited outside for a while. Then it started to rain, and this girl really needed to get back home so we got a cab and as soon as the cab was pulling away, Mika came out, haha, lovely timing. Oh well. Anyway, there's my unnecessarily long rambling about the concert.
  9. I was JUST about to type that! Seriously, how classless can you get? You can't just do whatever you want. It's funny because his song came on the radio earlier today and I went off on a rant about how I didn't like him, lol.
  10. Happy Birthday!!! :yay:

  11. Sorry but Kristen is sooo ugly with that hairdo. I know it was for a role and everything, and I know no one could ever really pull of that type of hairstyle blah, blah, blah, but it's interesting to see how different she looks without her long hair. You can see how weird her face shape is. She has her moments when I think she's very pretty but most of the time, I just find her to be really awkward looking (and not just because she acts awkward.) Sorry if you're a Kristen fan. I know I am flip flopping. I used to be a Kristen fan but I don't really like the way she acts and the fact that she acts the same in all of her movies for the most part. I realize she doesn't like the media aspect of acting but we all have got to do things we don't want to do so suck it up. Also, I never really liked Taylor before but wow, is he looking good! He has grown up, haha. I am looking back on some of the stuff I wrote in here and can't believe how much my views have changed, lol. I used to not like Jacob but am so annoyed with the whole overly obsessive Edward craze, (particularly among middle-aged married women with kids, grow up!) I guess I've switched sides. Also, I am annoyed with vampires in general. It's gone way overboard. I actually resent Twilight a bit now because I've heard so much about it. I still love Rob Pattinson, though, lol. If I must know him by a character, I prefer him as Cedric Diggory though. Harry Potter is the best thing ever created in my opinion. There's also the fact that the books got progressively worse. I was really excited when I first started reading them but then was disappointed by the end. I still think Twilight is a good book, New Moon is ok, Eclipse I don't even remember what happened, and Breaking Dawn was absolutely awful, I think the majority of Stephenie Meyer's fans could have written a better book. Anyway, I just thought I'd come back to this thread to see how much I've changed my mind a year later, haha. Like I said though, I still love Rob Pattinson, that definitely hasn't changed.
  12. Hah, he's going to be in Chicago during fall break. How perfect is that?
