Hmmmm. It was fine once he was on stage, but you have to queue in a really rough, windswept street and when you get inside you have to go down a flight of dark steps to the stage. I'm a bit claustrophobic and hate crowds, so it wasn't a good venue for me. (it didn't stop me going on 2 tours though!)

Do it tomorrow! I was considering Amsterdam and dithered for a while. Now it's sold out. I bet the Dublin will sell out quickly too.

Fantastic! I'm doing Bristol instead of Birmingham this time and the venue there is pretty horrible (I hope that nobody going to Birmingham reads this!)

Monmouth, so I'm about half way between Cardiff and Bristol. (Cardiff is cheaper to get to because of the bridge) Have you been to the venue before?

That's not a bad excuse really. -well it was the best he could manage. Maybe he was jet-lagged after the long flight down from Newcastle ..............or maybe it was because he didn't see me drive over the Severn bridge ..................ok, so it is looking a bit lame, I was only trying to help!

Unfortunately not! But in his defence, I met him in Bristol to fly to Italy, so he thought that he'd been to Wales!

Hi. I've just booked a room at The Travelodge Dublin City Centre, Rathmines and it was 39 Euros for a double room. I'm hoping that it's the nearest one to the venue. There are a few other travelodges in Dublin, but this one looked the closest on the map. I have never been to Dublin though, so please don't take my word for it, I may be wrong! (if you try booking the night before the gig, it's V.expensive because it's Valentine's day)

Can you get one for Freddie too please! I had a text from him earlier saying that Mika is playing Wales, I thought that he had some inside info on a Cardiff gig, so I rang him up and it turns out he thought that Bristol is in Wales! (as if anyone from Sunderland, Scotland would know!)

This may sound like a stupid question, but is the venue the Olympia Theatre that is near the city centre? I don't want to book the wrong Travelodge!

Hi there Avoca! I was thinking of you only yesterday because I'm finally getting around to having the best of my digital photos printed. It's taking me ages because I have 9 years worth to sort through, but yesterday I was looking at the Big Chill photos. There are a few good ones there!

Just be patient and someone will probably list one on Ebay. I had to get a version 4 one for my son back in the summer (he lost his original one). I looked several times and found one after a few weeks. Good luck! -
I hope that you do read this thread, Mika. We all had a wonderful time on Saturday night. It was your fantastic music that brought us all together in the first place, but now we have some amazingly special friendships too. This is no ordinary fan club, it has developed into something very special (I now have MFC friends who understand me better than my own family do) The champagne was a lovely and totally unexpected gesture. The fact that you were actually on the phone while we were there caused a lot of excitement! You probably haven't read the bit in the party thread where Kath said that a member of staff called her over and said "I wanna talk to you". -A very fitting phrase! Thank you for everything, the music, the friends, the champagne and the fun, MM x
