  1. Me either. I forgot to add that.
  2. Ah, I love this thread. No worrying about offending overly sensitive victims that can't handle it when people don't agree with them. Sarie? You there?
  3. Yeah, that is very true. I can understand that. If someone says something I don't like and it's really not that big of a deal then I let it go. I just see way to many people acting like victims and way too many people apologizing. Personally, I don't feel like I need to apologize anymore. If I apologize than that means I've realized I've done something wrong. If I don't think I've done anything wrong then I won't. Any other apology is fake and insincere.
  4. People are very, very easily offended.
  5. I always feel bad about eating chocolate bunnies. Isn't that weird? Maybe it's because I have a brown bunny and it reminds me of him.
  6. I sorta agree with you. We learned about something like this in psychology. There are two main types of people in this sense (obviously there are people who fall in the middle and don't fit either category). People who rely on outside things to control their lives and people who rely strictly on themselves to control their lives. The outside forces include fate, destiny, etc. while the inside forces are more like "I really can only rely on myself to get things done". Overall, the people who rely on inside forces are much more happier and less stressed because if they want something, they get it, whereas the outside forces are more stressed because they don't know if it's coming, if it even does. Anyway, that's my psychology lesson. Obviously, I'm more an inside force believer. If I want something, I've got to be the one to do it. I'm not saying I don't believe in fate and destiny, 'cause I do to an extent. However, I'm not going to wait around for my soul mate (because I don't think I believe in one). Actually, I don't even think about one. I just live my life and it I stumble upon someone, then great. If I don't, oh well. I will say I agree with Hannah about people not necessarily having soul mates but people who go together. I don't imagine anything ever tearing my parents apart especially since what has happen lately. They are still together and will always be. Also my aunts and uncles are still together. Both my grandmothers' husbands died quite some time ago and since then my one grandma had a failed marriage and one just got married a few years ago (at 73!) to the man she dumped for her first husband. I suppose that is the little hint of fate that I believe in.
  7. Haha probably. It's so ridiculous. I'm pretty sure my butt still hurts from sitting on the cafeteria bench for 5 hours. Can't wait to do it again.
  8. I'm almost positive my soul mate is in your signature. P.S. got my SAT scores today. Yikes. Guess who's doing a retake?
  9. Where I live we have Amish Acres and Shipshewana or whatever it's called nearby. I got lost in Amish Acres, I can only imagine what it's like for practically the whole state to be like that.
  10. Nah, they were the tight-laced kids with bonnets on their heads.
  11. I know...I just put "Bible" and then I deleted it and was like, "No, THE Bible."
  12. Well that was a very narr thing to do, Sarie. And I bet he definitely reads the forums...with his no electricity and all. Side note: I went to the Sears tower and these Amish people were in line with us. They must have been hardcore Amish because they took the stairs to the top instead of the elevator.
  13. I just have four, Beginner's Bible (or something), Bedtime Stories Bible, Teenage Bible, and The Bible. Apparently, I used to read the stories and then a few days later I'd retell it to my dad thinking I had just made it up. Who knew I wrote the Bible?
  14. My grandma is sometimes Catholic enough for all of us. Most of my dad's family is Catholic, though I find it ironic considering how some of them act like fools 6 days a week and only act holy on Sundays. My dad isn't Catholic anymore, though he was raised Catholic (obviously), he's more of a Christian now and he and I are the only ones in my immediate family that go to church. My mom says she doesn't really have a religion anymore. When I was younger, we always went to church every Sunday and once during the week. Then something happened at my church and my mom just sorta lost faith. I'm not sure why. There's my family's religious history.
  15. We never really did either though every few years on Easter, my parents (mostly my dad) got me an "age-appropriate" bible so I could understand it. When I was just learning to read they bought me a bible that was for little kids. Then when I outgrew that they got me a bible that was for elementary school kids. Then when I outgrew that I got a teenager bible. Now I have an actual bible, though I bought that one.
  16. I'm sorry but for some reason I thought that was funny (about the Saint). Mostly because it reminds me of my grandma. She knows about so many different Saints and man, does she put them to use! When we were trying to sell our old house we were having problems selling it (since we didn't go through a realtor), so my grandma goes out and buys a figurine of some Saint that has something to do with houses and she had to plant it in a certain area of our front yard, turn it upside down, say a certain prayer and then cover it. Can you imagine what people thought driving by seeing the whole family huddling around an old woman who is praying to a hole in the ground? We sold the house not too soon after so she is convinced it was Saint-whoever-it-was. It probably was.
  17. He is pretty frightening. He wears these huge army boots everyday, even to class and in that class we run a lot. I don't know how he runs in them, though last time we were about to run and he just walked out of the gym and well all looked at my teacher and he goes, "I am not gonna mess with that kid!" He came back...eventually.
  18. That's crazy. He's quite popular, huh? It's too bad some people in America WEREN'T LIKIN' IT!"
  19. I don't watch American Idol anymore but my parents do and my mom gets so mad when they vote off the people she likes. It's actually funny listening to her, she's always like, "I can't believe it! That is not fair!". She never used to watch TV and now all of a sudden she has her "shows".
  20. There's a kid in my weights class who listens to Slayer. Actually, we call him Slayer. He told us to and besides no one knows his name. Anyway, I'm sure they're a good band in their own respect (I wouldn't know, I don't listen to that), however, he scares everyone in the class a bit when he listens to him because he goes nuts. He walks around flinging his arms and kicking his legs. It's so weird.
  21. That's what I was thinking.... He must have outgrown them.
  22. I don't mind the Easter Bunny or the eggs as much as people getting presents on Easter. For some reason people assume holiday = presents. That way people look forward to the holiday to get the presents instead of focusing on what it's about. Also, it always seems a little weird to me when people don't believe in the stuff the holidays are about, but they'll celebrate it to get the presents. Then again, who am I to tell other people what to do? They can do what they want, it's just I don't agree with it. I just hope my kids don't expect presents. I remember when I used to go to Sunday school when I was little they'd hide eggs for us but instead of filling them with candy they'd put in verses from the Bible or things that were symbols in the Bible, like crosses, etc. Afterward we'd explain the meanings of them. I always thought it was a neat way to teach the kids about Easter without boring them or whatever. On a lighter note, maybe I was completely oblivious when I was a kid (mostly likely), but I never remember Easter being so early and it being so cold outside! It's suppose to snow this weekend which is weird 'cause you think of Easter and spring going together. EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot to mention. This guy came to my door today and basically said, "Don't worry, I'm not a Jehovah Witness or Mormon or anything." Which is very offensive in itself. Then he gave us a book and said that "God is not a prick" and that we could keep the book for free but to offset the costs of it he'd greatly appreciate it if we'd donate $15-$20 so my brother said, "You can keep the book" and shut the door. I think it's annoying when people use God/Jesus/religion to sell stuff or make money.
  23. OMG. You have the funniest pictures. I remember watching that thinking, "Why are they making those faces?" The more I watch Tyra, the more I hate her. And I thought Melrose should have won instead so this is especially funny to me.
