  1. Sea Monkeys remind me of two very different cartoon episodes. Rugrats and South Park. Oh and I think this thread should be changed from "Why Mika Should Date You" to "Why I Am Awesome/My Personal Attributes/Shameless Plugging About Myself".
  2. AHAHAHA, both these posts made me laugh so hard. I was thinking the exact same things. 1. AMEN! 2. You know he's a freak. 3. So does he. 4. I was thinking he was more of a "Sea Monkey Person" the less care required, the better. And you know everyone would flock to those threads. I tend to stay away from that section. I don't think Mika should date me either, besides the fact I'm only 17. I won't go into the details on why.
  3. Hahaha, I love that part! My brothers went and saw Barack talk (I know you don't like him) when he came to South Bend this week. I was going to go but I had a softball game and my brother could only get two tickets. It was at 10 at night and thousands of people still showed up. Our local news aired the whole thing live. He had a lot of good things to say. Then Hilary was here today, but it was a private meeting with GM. I guess they're sweating Indiana's primary because every vote counts in these last primaries. On another note, back to Bill and Hilary. I always feel like Hilary is like this successful woman and then Bill is like the screw up and Hilary is always trying to get Bill to get his act together. Do you know what I mean? Even lately with that Bosnia story she lied about. Bill tried to set it straight and then got his facts wrong and then made her look even worse. I can always imagine Hilary shaking her head, going, "Goddammit Bill."
  4. Yeah, I think. Hilary definitely wears the pants in the family. I can't stand her, though.
  5. Ohmygosh. Me too! I think it's kinda funny that he and Hilary are together and they seem like complete opposites.
  6. I can't really think of any song I could listen to right now that'd make me cry. I'm cold-hearted, I know. A few songs make me sad listening to them, but it takes a lot more than a song to make me cry, there's got to be a significant event to go along with it. Anyway... James Taylor's Fire and Rain is pretty sad. Sarah McLachlan's Arms of an Angel and Diamond Rio's One More Day. When I was 13, one of my friends died in a car accident, and she was also only 13. They sang both these songs at her funeral. That was really emotional. Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird got me at my cousin's wedding because it was her father's favorite song and he died a while ago in a motorcycle accident. Just to see my dad, my aunts, and uncles cry was enough to push me over the edge. Especially when I saw my grandma cry, who is the strongest person I know. Well, those are just a few, like I said, if I listen to them now, they won't make me cry but in those moments, they did.
  7. I know. Sorta like soccer (or football as everyone else in the world calls it). Even though the whole world plays it, the U.S. isn't interested so the U.S. doesn't care. Also, a little off topic. I remember when they were playing the NCAA basketball tournament last month, the men would be on CBS while the women would get stuck on ESPN2, not even ESPN. They played the NIT men's tournament on ESPN, which consists of the teams that weren't good enough to make the NCAA tournament or they'd play the World Series of Poker, which isn't even a sport! It's a huge pet peeve of mine.
  8. I think it got quite a bit of attention when Roddick was doing really well, and even when the Williams sisters win things. I just think that maybe since it's an international sport and the U.S. doesn't dominate, then the U.S. doesn't care, which is clearly the wrong mindset.
  9. I've watched tennis ever since I could remember, especially the championship matches on Sundays. I was always an Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras fan. I was also a pretty big Federer fan until I saw Rafael bet Mariano Puerta in the French Open 3 years ago (right, wasn't it Puerta? I can't believe it was that long ago) Anyway, I took quite a huge interest in him. He was so fierce and competitive, he wouldn't let a single ball go by him without a fight, which he has learned by now that sometimes you just gotta let some balls go. Then the next two years he bet Federer, which Federer still hasn't won the French Open. The only ever message board I've ever been a part of was vamosrafael.com which I think I've said before. Anyway, that became the official website and it became too constrictive and I didn't like the new rules so I left. But that's besides the point. I was disappointed with how poorly Rafael played in the championship at Miami. Watching the first game, I thought he'd dominate, but that surely wasn't the case. But I will give it to Davydenko, he played really well. I like how Rafael is evolving into playing well on surfaces. For a while he was just good on clay and now he's quite good on hardcourt and even grass, making it to the Wimbledon championship the past two years against Federer. However, there was no way he was going to be Federer on grass, not then at least, though last year it was a good match. I think he had Federer sweating it out, it went five sets if I remember correctly. He's improved so much as a player, though. His serve has gotten so much better, that was his biggest weakness for a while. I still think it was silly to make a naturally right handed person serve with his left hand, but oh well, that's what happened. Anyway, now his problem is how far back he stands on the baseline, at least a few steps. It causes him problems when he has to run to the net. Speaking of improving, his English has gotten so good too. I remember he would get really flustered when interviewed in English and always had a translator. At Miami, he spoke quite well and didn't need anyway there. Though, of course, he does stick to generic phrases such as, "He is very good." or "I must play my best match today." Oh jeez, now I sound like I'm a tennis or Rafael Nadal expert, which clearly I'm not. It's just I've been watching him for the past three years and was a part of his fan club, so I'd hope I know how his game is. I like Roddick a little bit, I wish he'd play a little better, but oh well. His serve is amazing though. I also think James Blake is quite good, especially on hardcourts. I try to support the Americans. Now, I'm a Novak Djokovic fan. He sorta came out of nowhere, and he's really good. Plus, he's still very young, only like 20. Tennis is probably the only sport I'm a huge fan of that I don't play, but I understand the rules well enough though, you kinda have you if you watch it all the time like I do.
  10. I'm not a real fan. What's the Christmas tree mean?
  11. I forgot about that. How 'bout Mika go make your album in Australia?
  12. I just saw this. Those "dark eyelashes" are much darker than normal and it really looks like he's wearing some type of powder or something. And yes, I am extremely obsessive, always coming here to look at which hairs Mika has cut and what new shirt he just bought. Anyway, I noticed that he was wearing make up, and I hardly look at pictures of him anymore. You can't tell me he isn't wearing some make up. I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I just think he looks a bit odd. As I said before, it's done so that it's not suppose to look like he's wearing any, but (I) can obviously tell he is. Now if he'd done something like Patrick Wolf did in that picture Scut Monkey posted than maybe I'd like it. It looks good on Patrick at least. I just figured if people are going to freak out 'cause he cut his hair than I can comment about what I think about his make up, whether it's part of the business or not.
  13. I hope he's changing. I was getting bored with the "old" Mika. Seriously, though, who doesn't change? How would the world be without people constantly changing? Oh and if we're talking about his hair....that hardly defines a person, does it? It'll grow back if you don't like it.
  14. I doubt he bases what he does on this forum. At least I sure as hell hope he doesn't. Mika, if you're reading this, go make your album.
  15. As soon as I saw that picture, I was thinking, "ohh, Mika, no." I don't have a problem with make up on anyone as long as it looks good, and this doesn't look very good. Plus, it's annoying when people have make up on but still try to make it look they're not made up. In reality it produces the opposite effect. Though I don't know if Mika wanted to look made up or not. So there's my contribution to the what Mika looks like/what his every move is/what is he doing at this very moment/why isn't he working on his album discussion for the next few weeks. Come and get me when he releases his new album. It might be awhile.
  16. I haven't watched American Idol religiously or anything but I've watched it most of the weeks and so far I've found: I don't like: David Cook (he's too cocky and annoying for me) Kristy what's-her-face Kid with the dreads that looks like a girl Brooke (she talks too much when the judges critique her, just SHUT UP AND TAKE IT) I do like: Carly (my favorite) Michael (I know he's gone) David Aaklar;lehralhfadn Syesha has a good voice, just needs to fine tune it And I think that's it. I get a little upset when people vote for contestants because they are good-looking or they just like them or whatever but I guess that's the point. I just don't think that kid with the dreads would still be on there if he didn't have a pretty face. Oh and Seacrest was a prick tonight. "Last year we didn't send anyone home this week." Then Michael's face perks up. "But I'm sorry, Michael, we're sending you home." or whatever he said. Why even bring it up and get his hopes up? Dick move, Seacrest.

    Katy Perry

Yeah for the longest time I couldn't figure why I had seen her before and then I saw that she had the video on her Myspace and was like, "Ohhhh..." And you have 7,777 posts. That's funny.
  18. I think he looks like a high school boy, especially with that outfit. I bet a lot of pressure falls on Mika's hairdresser to get it right seeing as he/she's got all of Mika's fan club critiquing the work. Change is great. I'm not sure if I love the new hair or that I love he's done something different. That and his "new" clothes. And now for a NEW album...

  20. Man, I came to that conclusion after seeing the previews!
  21. Haha, not that creepy. Apparently my mom does too, she had my grandma make them for every season/holiday/event.
