  1. This mother is as good as ON my Christmas playlist. I mean yeah, it's not as lovely and cosy as Let it Snow is, but it's funny as f*ck. That's all I need this Christmas.
  2. Loads of people have mentioned the hair, but somehow, the dodgy little yellow ali baba shoes that are clearly 2 sizes too small for him have slipped through the net. No matter, because Laura's here to rectify this matter. WTF HAS HE GOT ON HIS FEET?!?!
  3. Georgia? in a very mika trend Noooo, Robi, you misunderstand. Snoop rhymed 'all up awn ya' with 'California' in California Gurls and it might just be the best rhyme I've ever heard in my life.
  4. Better than ET - my rhymes are far more sophisticated than 'Mars', 'Cars' and 'Bars'. Though I'm not quite in Snoop's league - I'm yet to find a rhyme as good as 'all up awn ya' and 'California'.
  5. Yeah, he'll probably put a dance beat to BIOTW and have Kanye West featured on a remix. I get this itch When I'm not with ma b*tch And when the rain is pouring And the skies are falling I'm like yo shawtie! Let's get nawtie. Joaquin Phoenix better move over, we've got a new white rapper on the scene, and she smokinnnnn.
  6. So, basically, if it was a completely different song sung by completely different people it would be perfect?
  7. Luke asked Ida after Belgium if she was singing it on the album and she just smirked and said 'We'll see'. So yes. Yes, she is singing it on the album. (Unless she's laying a false trail, the devious little creature.)
  8. *joins in the BIOTW discussion completely uninvited* Honestly, I really like the song. So much that I can't listen to it because it'll just fill my head for days if I do. It's cheesier than gorgonzola, and had I read the lyrics before I'd heard it live, I would have deemed it to be a load of old sh*t However, seeing as it was kind of thrown upon us unexpectedly (I mean, I knew we were getting 'new' songs but didn't know exactly what) he just caught me off guard when my cynicism hat was in the wash. Ida sounds beautiful on it - the cheer she got in Belgium was immense, and Mika even commented on it after at the M&G. The song is perfect for her voice. Mika on the other hand...well, we all know he's got a fantastic voice, but when you put him up against Ida like that, she nails it and he's...well, he sounds good, he'd sound great if he was singing it all on his own, but Ida is the one who has the 'f*ck yeah' factor on that song and it kind of overshadows him a little. But I do still adore it. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure, like Clueless. I'd never tell my film teacher that that's one of my favourite films, but I get this stupid grin on my face whenever I watch it. Also, Ingie and I became mildly obsessed with the way Mika says 'lover' in it, so that may or may not have left me a little biased. *leaves again*
  9. Yeah, it's nice just to chill out and relax with some booze and some mates. The Eden pub night was especially good - think there were about 18 of us, just swapping chairs all evening to chat to each other. Mega lovely and definitely something that needs doing again. Though maybe a bit closer to home than Cornwall.
  10. Yeah, it's all fine till they put the barriers around us and squash us in. Then we lose our minds and start asking stupid things like "What if our tickets are fake because sandbag are a useless bucket of arse gravy and sent us the wrong ones?" or "WHAT IS THAT PERSON ON CRUTCHES DOING GOING INTO THE BOX OFFICE BEFORE WE'VE BEEN LET IN?!?!?!?!" etc etc. But yeah we'll figure something out when he actually announces some news. Unless the third album is rrrrrrrrrrrrrubbish, in which case I don't think I'll be going to the tour. (Read as: I'm totally seeing him as many times as I can on the next tour!)
  11. Yeah, feels like a family reunion when we all get together. Except one where you actually like the people there. We should organise a pub dinner during the UK tour, on one of his nights off. It'd be nice for us all to hang out somewhere warm without any 'will we get front row?!?!?!' stress.
  12. I think it's up to the mods to enforce such rules if they see fit. And it's certainly not right to start throwing nasty names about. That's just pathetic in my most humble of opinions.
  13. Aw, very sweet report Kath, so glad you had a good time. The UK tour can't come soon enough! (And if the boy is lurking about reading gig reports because he blates has nothing better to do, sort your sh*t out and hurry the f*ck up!)
  14. I just wanted to say... MAAAAAAAAAAAAARES VIVAS! NO CABEDELO! (NO CABDEEEEEEELOOOOOOOOOO)
  15. I'm not actually carrying on with anything, Mary and I were talking about the gig, you came in then Ingie and I were talking. You seem to be labouring under the delusion that this is something other than a conversation. But anyway, I posted some vids a page or two ago, would one of the mods be kind enough to link them on the front page? Merci!
  16. Well Mary and I were reminiscing about the joys of the weather, and then we were told all about what we should have done instead of what we did do...there was no arguing, just discussion.
  17. No, but you came on here after we'd had a miserable time in the rain telling about how you're so great at dealing with the cold and telling us all the things we should have done when you weren't there and you don't know the situation (which you can really only appreciate if you were there). It didn't really go down well, especially when your final point in the discussion was 'yeah, but still'. So no, it wasn't a competition, it was a discussion, as Ingie said.
