Hey, Welcome to the MFC! I can't claim to know anything about this type of stuff, since the only other General Admission show I went to was Mika @ the Gramercy, and I was there very, very early and didn't see what time people towards the back lined up. I don't think you'll have too much trouble though, as 7:30 is still pretty early. I mean, you probably won't be front and center, but I heard the theater is great and there are lots of good places to see the stage from. Good luck! See you tomorrow!

Set your expectations horribly low, so the night will be amazing no matter what! August 10th will be a mob-scene, but fun nonetheless! I'm not sure when I'll be getting there. I don't want to stand in the heat of Times Square for hours, and the guy I spoke to from the theater said he doesn't want people lining up until a 1/2 hour before. So, maybe an hour or 2 in advance?

I've always wondered why the term "guilty pleasure" has a negative connotation. I mean, people shouldn't be embarrassed over something (or someone ) they enjoy.

Haha. I was so angry when the people told us that there wouldn't be an opportunity for Mika pictures and hugs. But, this time will be better (hopefully). I decided to have low expectations, so I won't be disappointed no matter what. I made up a scenario with lovetoday with everything going wrong, including our train from Manhattan to Long Island derailing and causing us to become disfigured. Ya know, pretty horrible stuff. So I'll be happy no matter what!

I can't even tell if this is a favorable review, or a negative one.

I'm so beyond jealous. Well, now that you're a Mika-meeting professional, you can help me and the other MFC-ers! OK, I did speak to Mika @ the signing @ Borders, so I have his autograph...but I want a hug more than anything in the world.

OK-- I began to cry when I read about the LA and Chicago gigs. If I'm crying from just reading people's experiences, then I'm going to be a mess @ the Nokia. I also looked back at pictures I took @ the Gramercy in March and @ Borders, and I began to cry even more. So, to summarize...if you want to find me and say hi, I'll be the puddle of tears.

Clearly, I'm *not* invited if I'm under 21. The thread title is misleading. Stop posting everywhere and spamming. Stop rubbing in the fact that I'm underage. :thumbdown:

Haha. Thanks for the sympathy. I finally mustered up the courage to ask the Borders employee when the issue would come in. He probably found it odd that a 17 year old girl was asking for a gay men magazine...and when I told him I had been to the store 5 times before that trip, he laughed at me. Luckily, he told me that I can call before I come (so I don't waste any more gas/contribute to global warming even more), and that it should be in any day now. I'm sure full scans will be up by the time I get it, but if not, I shall post them!!

Your doodles are BRILLIANT! I wish I had taken a picture of my physics binder. Each page was covered in Mika song lyrics, and bordered with pictures pertaining to the song. Maybe it's good I tossed that binder out before taking a picture...my drawings are crap!! Anyway...the gig is SO SOON. Like, I might have to scream. OK, I screamed. I'm so excited for the whole day and the whole experience and....everything!!

I'd think you'd need a ticket to get to the merch. But, I'm sure it won't be too hard to pick something up after the show, so have no fear! I already have my (*signed!!!! *) Mika shirt and a rosette, so I'm set. You'll be fine though! I'm sorry you had to deal with the same Nokia prick I had to deal with. He wants to have customers, right? He shouldn't be such a f*cking a*shole!!! Arghh! I get so fed up with these incompetent people who just can't give straight answers. It shouldn't be that hard!!!

I'm glad you had such a great time! And Mika *loves* you!! That's an amazing memory!!! I'm really amazed with how assertive you were- getting into the party, chasing Mika's SUV, shouting to get his attention.... I wish I could be that way!

I'm making my 5th trip (in the past 6 days) to Border's this week in search of OUT. Wish me luck...this is getting frustrating! And I'm burning gasoline with my 20 minute drive!

The article started off a bit shaky, but I think it improved as it moved away from the question of Mika's sexuality. Was it really necessary for the people of Out to get quotes from other artists and "experts?" I found that to be a bit obnoxious.

I'm going to check the shops today, because it's up on the site.

I was browsing ticketmaster today, and Mika's gig was on the main page...so naturally, I clicked on it and read this: " PRODUCED BY AEG LIVE MIKA 16 & OVER/NO RECORDERS NOKIA THEATRE TIMES SQ. 1515 BROADWAY, NYC FRI JUN 15, 2007 7PM No recorders? Does that mean no cameras? I don't know, so make of this what you wish. SOO SOON!! :biggrin2:

You know the camera policy. I told you already. The venue will not know the artist's camera policy until the day of the show. So bring a camera if you wish, but you may need to hide/check it.

Better question: Who isn't excited??? Because I don't know who wouldn't be!!!! Ohmyfreakinggod....5 dayss! :biggrin2:

I checked Border's for the third time in the past 4 days today. July issue still isn't out, but it will be there quite soon.

OK, I'm going to quit being depressed about mean Nokia people and 21+ after-parties, and start being happy...because it's... 5 DAYS UNTIL MIKA!!!!!!!!

Nevermind. I read the other thread. It is. *tear, tear* I hate being underage. :thumbdown:
