  1. Thank you Sweetie. Unfortunately, the bad times will never be over.... but I'm making the best of a bunch of bad experiences......... And ****hehehe**** I'm gonna get the "last laff" with my book!!!
  2. Oh Yeah!!!!! Did you hear that interview???? These 2 comedians from Montreal baited her and gave her every opportunity in the book to realize she was being punked!!! She is a dork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank god they lost!!!!
  3. Oh yeah - they're out there..... they believe in beauty pageants and pro-life - which means there is no room to negotiate abortion rights - even if a woman is raped..... Sarah Palin also endorsed hunting - shooting innocent animals just for sport...... she also had NO CONCEPT about foreign policy ... or anything else, for that matter.... I COULD NOT BELIEVE that these 2 clowns were actually in a race for the White House...... Pathetic Personified!!!
  4. OMFG!!!! Palin would've set the women's movement back several centuries!!!!
  5. Hello Everyone!!!! I haven't been on board for a very, very long time!! It's not that I lost interest - but truth be told, I've been having such an incredibly hard time that every ounce of energy that I have possessed has been devoted to survival..... However, being the survivor that I am, I'm STILL HERE!!! Struggling and fighting every second, 24/7.... That's why tonight's U.S. election instills such a mood of optimism.... President-elect Barack Obama rose from the ranks of being an underdog to claim a huge victory over John McCain. His message of "Yes We Can" has captured such a sense of confidence... and not only in the U.S. but here in Canada and undoubtedly throughout the world. During this time of adversity Obama offers a beacon of hope... something that has not been evident in American politics as well as throughout the planet for what seems like an eternity. I pray that his presidency will continue to encourage this scenario of aspiration and good will. It most definitely reminds me that perhaps we should finally reflect an air of confidence where none existed before. By the way - I have begun writing my book of memoirs - not just therapy for me but a message (or messages) that are crying out to be told. It's great to be back....
  6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKA!! Hope all your dreams come true........... World domination next??? LOL! Much love, xoxoxoxoxo Joan & Cali
  7. Here goes the never-ending saga. I'm almost at the end of my rope from my non-stop illnesses, chronic medical conditions, surgeries, treatments, etc. Frankly, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Everyday I wake up wishing I were dead already. No one gives a ****. Months and years have gone by where no one will actually check in to see if I am still alive. I'm in excruciating pain (mentally and physically) on a daily basis, and if "the professionals" don't figure out soon how to stop my copiously bleeding I will surely die. As it is, I can barely walk a couple of blocks without feeling like passing out. Pardon me, my mistake: bringing all this crap up - doesn't do anyone or anything any good. Just venting, I guess, for whatever THAT'S WORTH.
  8. I don't know if anyone mentioned, "Silence of the Lambs". Truly frightening! There are also a few sequels portraying Hannibal the Cannibal Hannibal Lector in various stages of his life and development of his, er, fetish.... Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Birds" - another classic! Hitchcock's "Rear Window". Stephen King's collection - including "The Stand", "It", Salem's Lot, "Pet Sematary I and 2"..."Cujo", "Christine", "Needful Things", "The Shining". The Exorcist and the sequels it spawned. And then of course there are all the "slasher" firms - "Hallowe'en", "Friday the 13th", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", etc.etc. They are a dime a dozen. And one must NEVER EVER forget the stunning classic "Rosemary's Baby"......
  9. OMG! OMG! OMG! All you guys who have seen the midnight shows - I am soooo jealous! It must've been incredible! And to everyone else who will be seeing it soon - have a blast!!!!! I'm not much of a theatre-goer and usually wait for the film to become a DVD..... NOT SO IN THIS CASE!!! I may not go this weekend, maybe wait 'til things die down (if they ever do..... NOT!) But I would LOVE to see it in I-Max!!!! Perez showed the first 5 minutes of the film on his site a week or so ago and I was instantaneously hooked!!! After seeing that clip I can truly appreciate, now more than ever, the inclination to award Heath a posthumous Oscar around his outstanding performance. Looking into those eyes - vast empty pools, stripped of any kind of emotion, not an iota of attachment or compassion to be found anywhere. Whoever the Joker ever was seems to be no longer present. Those dead pools - eyes which have pupils but no iris.... black holes... it makes the observer question if he is in fact seeing in to the soul, or if it would take much more dire straits to engage that lost soul within....... Something catches in your throat as you realize you are no closer to the truth today than any other day. An image begins to form in your mind: - this is a monster, hell-bent on destroying whatever and whomever crosses his path. THIS IS A MAN WHO HAS A FRONT ROW SEAT TO HELL!!! And in the same clip the Joker was heard to say, in that gravelly, menacing timbre, "That which doesn't kill you makes you strange"......
  10. Oh, thank you sooo much for your kind wishes!!! I have been trying to distract myself all day - well, at least I'm getting a few things done! LOL! I'm sittin' here, having a glass of wine - I'm cool until midnight, then nothing to eat or drink until I'm done (4 hours in the morning). I will most def let everyone know*how it went. On Monday I have ANOTHER BIG TEST - this one I am REALLY DREADING...... G.I. tract..... yuck!!! And Friday I have 2 other appointments... I just hope something will be properly identified 'cause I'm sck and tired of being sick and tired!!!!
  11. How's everyone tonight? I'm a "little" nervous - tomorrow I'm having this cardiac stress test, then meeting with a cardiologist...... I'd be lying if I told you I didn't have butterflies fluttering around in my stomach.....
  12. Yesterday on Perez's site there was a rap version of Katy Perry's hit "I Kissed A Girl" - I forget who the artist was - anyways... I didn't like it, but the video had some really hot scenes of girl on girl kissing - and NOT that innocent. I guess there are always gonna be people who want to jump on the bandwagon, regardless of anyone else's feelings.... I really wonder what Katy would think of it..... hmmmmmmmmm......
  13. Hey Girrrllllllll! I'm really happy that you're on here tonight!!! Miss you!
  14. Well, I have a funny story.... When I was a little kid my brother and I, with the help of our housekeeper, dressed up our cat in BABY CLOTHES!!!!! That poor kitty was soooooooooooo traumatized that she peed herself... and it wasn't just a little leak - it was a huge spray, at least a couple of feet, drenching all of us!!!!!! That is what you call - 'REVENGE OF THE KITTEH!!!!!!!" Never underestimate the power and retribution of the furious feline!!!!!!!!
  15. I know you do!!!! You and I have been drooling all over her in Facebook!!!! LOL! What's not to love?????
  16. Thanks for the shot in the arm!!!!! WOWZA!! That sure helped! haha I shouldn't really get into that stuff - after all, this is the happiness thread........ *******hugs back*********** ********hug back************
  17. Okay - I need help! I've been having such a rough ride........ someone please give me a huge dose of happiness.... preferably intravenously, in the arm, and let it run all day and night.... or however long it takes...........
  18. hahahahaha KARMA!!!! IT'S A BITCH!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE CATS INVOLVED!!!!!!
  19. I loved her performance on SYTYCD!!!! And her hit "I Kissed a Girl" will not stop playing in my head! The video is also awesome - she is absolutely gorgeous!!! I have the BIGGEST CRUSH on her!!!!
