All of this stuff looks so cool I am feeling extremely old telling you that most of this really bright funky stuff I had in the 80's as a teenager - I wish i'd kept hold of it all Sadly now if I dress in rainbow couture my kids call me a saddo!!!! and refuse to walk anywhere with me! I still have my love of Converse boots (obsession is more like it) I have some very obscure and colourful designs so I sneak in my brightness with funky shoes!!!!!

I gave all this hints necessary for my kids to get this for me for Christmas - I think my daughter thought she had my pressie sewn up - then I just couldn't resist going out on Monday and buying it! - OOOppps how to annoy a 13 year old very easily LOL!!!! They copy I did get had a massive scratch on it so I took it back and *horror* they didn't any left, living in a small town no-where else sells music dvds so I made hubby drive 40miles that night to find a replacement for me - OOOps how to annoy a hubby very easily!!!LOL Well worth alienating my family for though, Fabulous DVD - much longer than most music DVD's - packed to the brim with live music chat and videos - I haven't watched anything else for a week. Especially loving Holy Johnny on DVD as I haven't been able to get a copy of it to listen too anywhere else. BTW Mika - IT'S A PURSE!!!!!! Sorry sweetie but there it is! Me and my dvd will be heading for Birmingham to get autographed (the DVD not me obviously!!.... actually I can think of a few places I would mind being signed but let stop this now for the sake of decency eh!!?) Hello everyone I've finally made it! Still no computer to call my own yet but I was getting so desperate my friend has lent me hers for a few days to catch up with all the MFC Brum news, God I've missed ya all! I have my ticket, hotel and train booked and queued outside Asda on Monday to get my DVD ready to be signed by an angel and am raring to go go go and getting slightly too overexcited about it if the truth be told! LOL Hubby not coming with me anymore - beer festival stronger pull - eeehhhh what??? So once again I will be all on my lonesome looking for all my MFC maties to take pity on me in my hour(s) of lonely queueing - that's if you still remember me and want to talk to me:tears: So what'd I miss?????? OK this is getting way too heavy!!! I had my rant earlier in the thread but having come back and seen some of the mean things said about Kanae (or whatever his name is) I want to now put my mumsie peace hat on and say "please play nice" - the mean person in all of this is the reporter, who for his own resons obviously doesn't think much of Mika or his music - thats OK, he has a right to his opinion (misguided as we think it might be it is still his opinion and should be respected), I feel he should try being a bit more professional in his journalistic reporting - i.e. some real facts would be nice, and possibly less rude and more grown up words (less "tit" and "plinkity plonk" please), but he wants to gain "cred" and is trying to do that by putting easy targets within the music world down. Kaene isn't the target here - Mika obviously enjoys his music, after all he was invited and went to his concert. Whether you love Kaene or not he struggled for acceptance in his music field much as Mika did and has become very successful - good luck to him. Mika had his own reasons for leaving early - whatever they were. He didn't seem his normal sprkly self in the photo so he could have been ill, tired or just in a hurry to get somewhere - obviously not expecting to be photographed/harrangued by reporters. There is room in the industry for everyone, let face it all the other stars only serve to make our boy look even better in comparison Peace out everyone. XXXXXXXXXXXX

I saw Kanye West on The Friday night project last week and he seemed like a nice bloke - he had trouble too breaking into the industry because he didn't look like your usual rap artist. Some of his songs are sing-a-longable, but he's not really my thing - I'm just don't "get" the whole rap thing they all sound alike and the videos are rubbish - I mean - girls in gold bikinis and fur coats - make your mind up woman is it hot or cold ouside??? My point is though I'm sure Kanye West doesn't share this reporters snide sense of humour - why would he have invited Mika if he didn't respect him? The poor reporter is just jumping on the "it's not cool to admit to liking Mika" bandwagon (maybe he's afraid his mates will think he has a feminine side!?) and thats his choice. A wise (and extremely cute) man once said "say what you want to satisfy yourself, but you only want what everybody else says you should want" The poor bloke obviously has little talent except for listening to music (not much talent required there either - um..... how do I switch this stereo on again.......?!!) and now lives his life vicariously through famous people and can only seem "cutting edge" by putting others who have proved their talent but yet don't conform to the hardcore, hardman image down. And anyway..."plinkety plonk music" ??????- what kind of intellegent journalistic creativity is that (did you go to university to make up such spechul words?) - get a dictionary - idiot![/size]

Bit dissapointed with this choice of single - love the song on the album but not a charty type song (IMO!), would have liked Lollipop or even Ring Ring. Possibly even Erase or Holy Johnny - which aren't on the album and would have sold/downloaded a few more copies - 5+million albums sold means that most people (not us obsessives though) will already have the song and not bother buying it - the reason I think that Love today and Big girl didn't get to No1 (bloody Umberela ella ella ella!!!! )

Loved watching the coverage - trouble is, thanks to rubbish fore-warning, I had to record every bloody BBC Glastonbury show on BBC2,3 and 4 just to make sure I didn't miss any Mika moments - and now I've just about filled up my Sky+ memory and can't bring myself to delete any of them (don't want to loose the 5 mins in each out of 124 mins per show!). The bloke at the front in the black hoodie was hilarious, do you think his girlfied had dragged him there or he had turned up at the wrong stage and got stuck there! Mika was as fabulous as ever, very very lickable in those trousies and whitey tighty shirt with that wet floppy hair thing going on and the smudged black stripe on his face just grubbied him up just enough mmmmmmmmmm ........hang on where was I?....oh yeh...., and the rest of the crew were brilliant and v gorgoeous too - I'm loving cherisses gold trousies!! And was it just me or did the sun come out exactly on cue for Grace Kelly - it's as if even the Gods were having a great time!!! The dancing during I want you back was delicious! My only complaint was the "Big Girl" with the red hair (not the other one with black hair who is very stunning and knows her routine) - trying to take over the show or what, she practically groped and snogged Mika during Big Girl, insisted on being centre of attention at the front during lollipop and then wouldn't stop moving around and lying on the back of the sofa in full camera view faffing around during the interview (oh how I wanted to push her off that sofa!!!). Bit dissapointed about the lack of notice given for performances and some of the negative and often rude comments made by the BBC presenters (except Edith Bowman who is obviously a huge fan!), but a brilliant first time performance from the man who will still be giving it his all at Glastonbury for years and years (maybe then the presnters will stop taking the P! - "19,999 women and 3 men enjoying mika on the Other Stage there!!" - cheeky monkey! and "20,000 have come, some to have a laugh with Mika, although most have come to laugh at him!!" - oh shut up!!!!!!). OOOOh just re-read this and I sound like a grumpy old mare don't I - I best go now and find a large red headed tv presenter to beat with her own micrphone just to cheer myself up!! LOL:naughty:

Slightly random here - sorry! Ok with the recent start of Big Brother (UK) and subsequent tv programmes everywhere, my hubby has now decided Mika is the spitting image of Kemal (BB6 contestant - turkish/londoner, belly dancer/student, aged 22ish). I'm slightly torn - he had a habit of wearing mucho make up and photos of him without it are hard to find, but from memory I think hubby has a bit of a point, although it might just be the hair what do you lot think? [ATTACH]2583[/ATTACH] And although I DON'T CARE and hate to bring it up - everyone assumed that (mainly due to the dresses, high heels, make up etc) Kemal was gay as the day is long - turned out he was bisexual - so nah nah nah nah nah - that'll teach you to make assumptions!!! LOL Also - on BB theme - has anyone else thought maybe the new bloke in current BB - Seany has pinched Mikas fabulous fashion stylistic and claimed it as his own? Watching BBLB (Big Brothers little brother) today and after one of the older "larger" ladies (carole) talked about getting her thruppeny bits out Dermot said "Big Girl... YOU are Beautiful!" Definate Mika fan action happening there - now if we can convince BB to play Big Girl during footage of the larger girls i.e. Carole and Laura, and possibly Lollipop for Sam and Amanda (twins who went in sucking very hard on their lollipops!) we could start a whole new mika advertising base!! - and lets face it the house is decorated like something from a more vivid Mika dream world:roftl:

We know you want to spread the Mika happiness throughout the world, and that this is something you've worked hard for and you want to make hay while the sun shines. But you are pushing yourself too hard. You have the talent to be able to take a break and still come back on top. I worry that if you don't slow down a bit you'll end up constantly ill or worse a wasted talent like Robbie Williams - unable to sleep without pills, unable to wake up without different ones, panicky, nervous, needing help to write or perform, The Priory beckoning, definately not the down to earth, fun loving, fiercly independant and awe inspiring Mika we know and love. You wrote Life in Cartoon Motion with few expectations, obviously this is how you write best, with a calm and untroubled mind, take a while to bask in your multi-coloured glory. Take some time off - maybe even spend a bit of relaxation here with us, we like to consider ourselves your friends, we'll look after you, (and perhaps maybe gag the noisy ones LOL) You have a loyal and strong family behind you, enjoy them. Whatever you choose to do to wind down we will all still be here waiting, right where you left us, when you get back.
