  1. Happy new year to you too chickadee. Seeing as you're "in it" right now. To everyone else, may your year be healthy, wealthy and happy. Love love me Shari xxx
  2. Jemmalee needs to update her list, it will be 3 times as long now! I don't know how we are going to organise this weight thing. Perhaps swap mobile numbers and bombard each other with texts saying, "Have you done your exercises today"
  3. I've heard loads of people say they loose weight at weight-watchers/Slimming World. Hiya pinky
  4. Morning folks. I see the thread carried on long after I left. Good to see we're getting support amongst the jokes! Pinky, what that doctor told you was crap. He ought to be struck off for that. It doesn't give you any motivation or encouragement with comments like that. Idiot. Yes Cassiopee, I'll aim to lose any small amount per week. If I just saw a slight difference on the scales it would encourage me, but it never changes! It's going to be an uphill battle and plenty of dust I think! (hee hee)
  5. Cassiopee, I would love to know a diet to help me get some weight off. Be so glad if you could help. Nighty night folks...........
  6. Oh Pinky, bless your heart. Only 17 and so insecure. You should be having the time of your life right now. I know it's hard to trust people when you get let down or they just weren't the people you thought they were etc. Don't let it stop you. I have a friend in Florida who self harmed and I have never judged her for it. She obviously has her reasons and I think that is what most people think. Just because they don't understand they judge. It's all about teaching tolerance and educatiion. I'm off to bed shortly, can hardly keep my eyes open. E-mailed you. We seem to have started something here. Something worth persuing..........
  7. Put it in faves sariflor, thanks, but with my medical conditions cardio is not the way for me. However I will read his food info, thanks
  8. Ahh, that's a shame. Dashing blokes in Lincoln? You're kidding right? There are always narrow minded people wherever you go pinky. Confidence plays a big part. I don't have much self confidence but I think it comes with age too. Mind me asking how old you are?
  9. Well done skullyrox. You have done so well so far. Keep us all inspired too.
  10. Ahhh I see pinky. Well to be honest, I think you would find it rather liberating if you did go swimming. If anyone stares or comments, then just ignore tham. I know it would be hard, but hell, if they have the gall to comment then they are the sort who are not worth bothering yourself with. You can rise above it and you would be a huge sense of achievement. Go for it gal. Don't live near Lincoln do you? I'd come with you.
  11. Pinky you sound just like me, I hate the way I look in a cossie too. Bet you're not as bad as you think you are though. 1 pool we had (attached to yet another school) had exactly that, swim sessions for larger sizes, but the darn place shut down to the public!
  12. I like swimming too but for a while was told not to do it, for the way it arched my back. Would you believe we have no leisure centres in Lincoln. Just pools attached to skools! Plus I don't drive so have to rely on hubby if I need to get anywhere.
  13. OK, lets all have a big group hug and vow to do something about this unhappiness in 2008. I'm free most days so if anyone needs anything organising for our potential weigh-in, let me know if I can be of any use
  14. Haeschen02, a 14-16 Uk size means a 36 -38" bust. I'm too old for centimetres sorry. Oh and 1 stone = 14 pounds. (I think???)
  15. Yes, isn't that always the way with tablets. Why do they come with unpleasant side effects? You did well to lose what you did pinky. Same as me with weight gain, plus having some severe muscle spasms that rendered me unable to walk properly for 9 months. It has put me off any exercise. If you are faced with such pain, the last thing you want to do is cause it to flare up again! We really need to stick together on this one. Encourage each other.

  17. Pinkunicorn, I'm right with you there, healthwise. Pre-existing medical conditions with medications cause weight gain, we're fighting a losing battle to start with! So where/when do we all begin?
  18. I think I ought to be included in this club. Please can someone add me. At size 20 with bad health I feel I've got nothing to look forward to. If I had some encouragement it might do me the world of good. Like you Jems and Babs, I don't enjoy being this size. Considering I was called a Biafran at skool!
  19. Thanks for printing it out babs. Also thanks for posting the interview and pics in the first instance Rosielou. Really good read.
  20. I'm sure you know your limitations Wendi. Be good and I hope feeling 100% comes sooner rather than later. Take care
  21. Oh I totally feel for you Wendi. It must be awful living on porridge, but it will be good for your cholesterol! You don't want to be practising trumpet or sax if it's too painful. Give your gums a chance to heal. No chance of miming I suppose?
  22. Thanks for that Wendi. I hear you loved the gift book, flowers and truffles! See how much people think of you. How is your mouth now after the dentist? I have been thinking of you as I know what being afraid of the D is all about.
  23. Hey Wendi, nice to see your name gracing these pages again. That tip wearing dark glasses, I might try that too. Might help my giddy spells too. Hope you are on the mend...............
  24. Having only heard the song done by Mika, I think it's OK, but there's not an option for just "OK". It may grow on me but I wouldn't say it's one of his best covers.
  25. OK, Christine, we'll both stalk Jennie stalking Mika!
