  1. I don't like that they say "after the Sissor Sisters". The Sissor Sisters are a group, Mika is one awesome man! When I first heard Mika, I didn't know who he was, but I knew he was better than Sissor Sisters. As for them calling him gay. Who give a toss? Mika certainly doesn't. So we won't give them the satisfaction of complaining about it. Love today, from Marilyn
  2. It's me again. I've been off voting for Mika in the EMAS, but then I got onto ITV's site and found the email address for this morning. It is thismorning@itv.com I asked them why they are ignoring Mika, when he's the next big thing! I've reminded them that Mika came up the hard way, not through X Factor and I told them how sick I am of all the X Factor hype. I'll try and find some more addresses, and fit it in between the voting. But to anyone from abroad who is on this thread, I say this. I wish I lived in any other country, but here! Everywhere else treats Mika like a prince. Our media treat him like a prionce's poor relation and I am ashamed of my own country's media. Oh God, please let him win those two awards!!! Love today, from Marilyn
  3. That was great! I loved those pictures of Mika and that lovely song. Goodness, don't we fans love our Mika! How did we ever live without him?? Love today, from Marilyn
  4. Guess what! Triond have had my poem published. The only problem with Triond is that they don't let you publish any links. But anyone with half a brain can find google, and then find Mika and his fan club. Here is the link for my poem http://www.authspot.com/poetry/Mikas-Journey.5513 We are all doing great! Love today, from Marilyn
  5. Would all you awesome voters like to take a short break, and read a poem? You'll find it on http://www.authspot.com/poetry/Mikas-Journey.5513 I hope that links okay. I'm not very confident with links. I'm hoping this will spark even more interest in Mika. Also check out http://www.quazen.com/arts/music/Mika-The-Multicoloured-Maestro Once again, if the link doesn't work, there is enough information to get you to the site.
  6. I hope Mika DOES release a Christmas single. He's a Christian after all, so it would be brilliant if he wrote about the true meaning of Christmas, not the other comercial stuff. Would you like to read a poem I have written about Mika? I wrote it, originally, to encourage all the voters, but I also write for an agency so I sent it to them and they've had it published. I thought it would help people realise how special Mika actually is. His story, not just his music, although it's all part of one awesome package. Triond did not add any links, they didn't when I wrote an article about Mika, but anyone who's interested, will be intelligent enough to look him up on google and find us, and mikasounds, etc. http://www.authspot.com/poetry/Mikas-Journey.5513 I also have an article on another site http:// http://www.quazen/arts/music/Mika-The-Multicoloured-Maestro I don't know if the information will link okay, but you should find it anyway Hopefully, both these things will spark a bit more interest Love today, from Marilyn
  7. We fans are already on it! We have brought him from about 2%, to 33%, and rising. He's way ahead of anyone, even Johnny Depp, who is behind him on 26%. So visit the Sofeminine site and vote for him. BUT, vote vote vote and vote some more, in the EMAs. We have less than a week to go! If Mika is in the Eurovision Song Contest, for God's sake, let him sing one of his own songs. Eurovision songs are rubbish! Love today, from Marilyn
  8. Oh yes, we fans are a force to be reckoned with. The media arn't the only people who can promote our maestro, and if they don't, we will. The votes seem to be rising slower now, maybe more people are voting, or there arn't enough votes to go around anymore. Anyway, we know he's well in the lead. The EMAs are desperately important at this stage, because, when you think that, above Mika in the charts are, a woman who can't even take care of her own kids, and another who can't even stand because she is so plastered. These people are only there because of their fans support, and their fans are not as great as we are! So let's prove it to Mika and get him those statues! I saw Mika on THE HITS channel last night 8:pm where they played the top 20. They also repeat the show the next morning. So next week, after he wins the emas, we can wake up to Mika. It's 330 on Virgin media. I don't know the numbers for Sky or freeview. Love today, from Marilyn
  9. I made a mistake about the number of the channel. It's 330, not 340, and they repeat the top 20 next morning. So next week we can see Mika win the awards, then next day, see his video on THE HITS Love again from Marilyn
  10. Quite right too. It's 9:15 in the morning and I've already sent home my first lot of votes for the maestro. In a way, I'm dreading Monday night because I'll be a wreck, and I'll be seriously bricking-it, but to see our awesome young man walk off with the emas, expecially since no one on British TV have given a toss about his brilliant single!. But I saw him on THE HITS channel last night where they showed the top 20. At last I got to record his video. On Virgin Media, the channel is 340. I don't know what it is on SKY or FREEVIEW. Love today, from Marilyn
  11. Oh thanks for the support! If you want to get in touch with GMTV then just go on the sebsite http://www.gmtv.co.uk and click on 'contact us'. Of course Mika can please himself whether he goes on shows or not, but we'd like him to at least have that choice, and after the lack of even a mention of his wonderful ballad, Happy Endings, I think it'sthe final straw. Channel 4, however, should be thanked, because they, at least, have shown his concerts and his video (even though it was late at night) and if we thank them for supporting Mika, they may support him even more. They are http://www.channel4.co.uk I just think we need to tell the media that Mika has some fans out there, and it will certainly do not harm to Mika, if we do that. Love again today, from Marilyn
  12. Oh my goodness, thanks for telling us! Because I have been fuming about the British media ignoring our wonderful Mika! He has not even been mentioned on GMTV or Entertainment Today, and I have already contacted them through the website, to tell them a few home truths. If Mika's video had been played, or his single mentioned on the air I'd have been happy. I think it's a miracle he's got to number 7 with no publicity and no mention of him. It would also be great if he was actually invited onto some shows in his own country! If you want to get in touch and add your voice, it's gmtv.co.uk. I don't know how to do a link. Love today, from Marilyn
  13. This is good news and will be great TV. But after this has happened I hope they stop comparing Mika to Freddie. His career, and his music, is already different from Freddie's. He's Mika! Not a Freddie Mercury tribute artist!!! Love today, from Marilyn
  14. I've sent that poem to Triond, the agency I write for, I've included the addresses for mikasounds, mikamyspace, and mikafanclub. They didn't put any links on the article I wrote last time, but maybe they will this time and then Mika will get some more fans on his side. Love today, from Marilym
  15. Oh bless you! I don't know how to do a link! By the way, did I post on here that I made a mistake about Happy Endings. It's actually number 7 Love today, from Marilyn
  16. I'm 53 and I love Mika to pieces. He's actually two months younger than my son Steve.
  17. Ye, well there's going to be a campaign. Keep a look out on the threads. The media in this country are a damn disgrace and want telling! To begin with, please email gmtv.co.uk. You can get onto their site and contact them from there. Ask them why they've never even mentioned Mika and his single. Tell them we's like to see him on the show sometime, and remind them that Mika is a star who didn't need the X Factor to give him a push. Love today, from Marilyn
  18. Okay, here's the thing. I know we can't expect Mika to drop everything and come on loads of shows over here. That is not what this is about. But look, guys and girls, Happy Ending is number 7 in this week's charts. That is a miracle, considering Mika has had no coverage on TV. I know that the latest pop-clone, Shayne Ward, and nice-and-tuneful-but-deadly-dull Leona Lewis came off the X Factor, but seriously, did they really need all that attention. Yes they did in fact, because it got Shayne's song to number 2, even though it's a piece of crap, and Leona will probably get to number one with her bleeding love song (no I didn't forget the commas before the word bleeding and after the word love) and also, arn't they making a fuss of Chico, because he's been clever enough to think of recording a song that praises big girls and calls them beautiful. Oh goodness me! why didn't anyone else think of that? Oh wait! Mika already did! Does Mika get the credit? Does he hell! Do you see what I mean? All we want is for the media to acknowledge Mika, not fawn over him or give him any over the top hype. Just show his videos and, perhaps occasionally, his concerts, at a time when we are all still awake, and maybe invite him onto GMTV occasionally as well. Is that too much to ask. So I've kicked off my campaign by emailing gmtv.co.uk. This is also where I'd like to ask for help, because I'd like to post links to the TV stations or radio stations, if they are ignoring him too, but I don't know how to do that, so I'd like to find an accomplace who knows all that stuff. But the sort of things to tell the channels, in emails, would be, that Mika is not just writing clappy happy pop tunes, he's writing beautiful ballads as well, and is becomming a bit of a rock-god on the quiet. He transends genres and he's a global treasure. Also tell them how adorable he is in interviews, and how entertaining. He's compulsive viewing whether he is singing, or speaking! Just think. If he was on an interview at a time when people are actually watching, he would have the whole country at his feet. The only reason he doesn't have them at his feet now, is because people don't really know him like we do. If they did, Happy Ending would already be number 1. So, if you agree with me, please start by emailing gmtv.co.uk, as I have done, and tell them you want to see Mika. Love today, from Marilyn
  19. Apparently, Happy Endings is number 7, so that's better news. It was my son who told me it was 9 and he must have made a mistake. Still, I stand by what I said and will try and co-ordinate a campaign to get fans writing into the TV stations, so watch the threads for details Love today From Marilyn
  20. Yes Mika's Happy Endings is number 7. It was my son who told me it was number 9, I'm glad we've got that sorted. But I do think that the British media should give Mika some airtime, either live on a talk show, or, if Mika is too busy, they could at least show one of his videos occasionally, or Channel 5 could show a concert. I'm not saying that he should be fawned over and that his face should be on TV so much that people get sick of him. I'm only saying he deserves a mention. Yes, we have the awards coming up, and if he wins them, as we hope, that will help a lot, so will the Sofeminine poll which, lets face it, he has already won. But it wouldn't do any harm for us to write to the TV stations about Mika, and let them know he has fans out there who love him, so I'm going to start a campaign to get the fans to do that. As I say, it won't do any harm, and it might do some good. Love today, from Marilyn
  21. That's a mracle, considering Mika has had absolutely no coverage or promotion in Britain. I am so disgusted. His country's media shouls be ashamed of themselves and this means we have even more reason to vote for Mika. We... his fans... must promote him ourselves. I think we need to also get onto the TV sites in this miserable country and put them straight. If Mika is busy, he need not actually be on live tv all the time, but the least he deserves is a mention, and maybe, to have his video played. Love today, from Marilyn
  22. I agree entirely. I am so angry. Anyway, I've written a poem about Mika, his life and his struggles. it's over on the Sofeminine thread, and I'm going to send it to an agency I write for, who will post it on some sites. But the slightly better news is that Happy Endings is number 9 now, and that waste of space, Shane Ward is number 10. It's not much consolation, but better than nothing. Maybe the fan club should lobby the TV stations, to get them to make as much fuss of Mika as they make of him abroad. God... Even America treat him better than he's treated in his veryo own country, who should be proud of him!
  23. Yes it's 33 now. That's great! I have another number for you. Happy Endings is no 9 in the charts. That's good, considering the fact that everyone above him gets plugged more often than a bathtub, and their faces on the telly, more often than they look into a mirror. Anyway, I've made a decision. You seem to like my poem, so I'm going to send it off to an agency I write for. They'll post it on some sites. If you are interested, I do have an article about Mika on Quazen/arts/music/Mika The Multi-coloured Maestro. I don't know how to put in a direct link to it, but you should find it with this. Love today, from Marilyn
  24. How would I do that? Do you mean, type it out again in a new thread? I'll do it if people think I should, but I'd like it to be here as well. Anyway, we're all doing so great here, but remember that there are only 7 more days for us to make sure that 'The Sexiest Man On The Planet' walks away with 2 EMAs. So please, don't neglect this thread, but help us get 2 awards for Mika, after all, it's about his music, and that is even more important than how sexy he is. I'm sure you agree. Love today, from Marilyn
  25. A boy was born in a land of war, Where the bombs and bullets fell, But thankfully, this precious life, Was taken from that place of hell, To find some safety and to grow, To be a man man we'd come to know. A beautiful, creative mind, A soul, which is, for music, made, A brilliant brain with a cruel flaw, He could not read the notes he played, Yet still, he played, and songs were born, Out of the darkness, came the dawn. To share his music, was his dream, Recording companies disagreed. A cannon, loose, beyond control, Could not be what the public needs. But his cheesey smile, his voice, his songs, We're what we'd needed for so long! A voice which soars to the stratesphere, Found the world-wide internet, The world discovered Mika there, Soon after, his career was set. To those who spurned him, he gave some 'welly' It topped the charts! It's called 'Grace Kelly'! The world no longer spins, in space, Instead, it spins in cartoon motion! Mika is throwing his worldwide party, On every shore, of every ocean. And so, to God, this prayer I'm sending... Thank you for Mika! He's our happy ending! I just thought I'd write this poem as a homage to Mika, and to encourage everyone who's voting on this exciting thread! Love today, from Marilyn
