  1. well i didn't...but now i'm suckered in i went on u2.com and saw that it's up now in its revamped site. yeah! no more myspace interrupting my songs. it's definitely easier to navigate. and there is going to be a pre-sale for subscribers. the new cd bundle sounds very nice...all songs i would love to hear, b-sides!
  2. Yeah Last year, he spoiled us fans with concerts even without a new record to promote. I'm actually going on the Mayercraft Carrier...so I'm excited about that. However I do not want to see a repeat of the Borat suit, that picture fried some "innocence" brain cells... I saw him on the oscars and his expressions were hilarious:naughty: They should have put Johnny boy up there on stage, especially for the "musicals are back" set, that would've been nice to see.
  3. i know huh the "cockatoo" sticks out too, lol. i'm still deciding on which version of the album I'm going to get...vinyl or the batch that has the extra "video"...
  4. Thanks for posting all those news bits, it would have been too much work for me right now... Man I could've went to see Prince & Mika...oh well I need all the sleep I can get! I love the fact that in the picture of Mika arriving, you can see the purple Prince symbol...
  5. That's weird...click on these thumbnails to help u out... the drop down menu should appear: then the playlist should appear like this: I'm listening to the album on myspace now since u2.com is displaying a message for the new site....I was like nooooo!....but then it got me excited cause it means we're getting closer to tour dates and maybe pre-sales... I agree with "Moment of Surrender. It's still iffy for me...I love the lyrics and the very end but the rest sorta reminds me of 90's Ricky Martin (don't ask)...not that it is bad...just not my fav so far! I think it will grow on me too maybe it will be better live. That birth quote from Adam made me giggle..."i'm still getting over it."
  6. lucky gal...all are amazing musicians...glad you had that awesome experience!
  7. U23D was awesome! I think I still have my 3D glasses somewhere figured out the way to listen to the album on myspace.com/u2 *in the music player, above the song playing "Get Your Boots On", look for the dropdown bar that says 'featured playlist' *and scroll down to the playlist titled "No Line On the Horizon (Standard Version)" Once you click on that, all the songs should appear and you're good to go. I was wondering where it was, but it was just hidden...sneaky..
  8. i'm glad it is awesome, huh? whoa-whoa-whoa-whoah! I'm also liking "Breathe" just can't get enough of the beautifu layers on that one & "Cedars of Lebanon"...chill just officially finished listening to the album...a nice listen b4 i head to bed and it started up again at the beg...i need to head to bed!
  9. i adore that set of teeth...i'm sure their joy was surpassed at the War Child gig after the Brits, Bono and Brandon Flowers came on stage to sing together...now that's more than any award at least 2 me... i just noticed the tags to this thread "guy berryman *drools*", it made me laugh just how true that is for most coldplay fans, not me cause i can look w/ my mouth intact
  10. ...hopefully that download will be fast for u...
  11. ooooh that's harsh...i'm glad PE is over with...i never really cared for it except for the dance lessons, every girl wants to be like gene kelly ...errr mayB just me, lol.
  12. some people had trouble with internet explorer as their browser but firefox worked for them. i'm on a mac using safari... my fav is "Magnificent" so far...i'm a sucker for agape love kind of thing...reminds me of Gloria...and I love that song... good luck
  13. oy...i just went to the u2.com site, not sure if it's only for members, but they're playing the whole album, love the opening track so far...get over there when you can, now going to find some lyrics...
  14. The Brits Awards performance was awesome, I wished they aired it on US tv like they did the last few years...oh well. Oh word to Bono, rouge instead of the eyeliner...rosy cheeks always please. I read mention of Bono joining Coldplay with their War Child concert after the Brits. I can't locate the video now but it was awesome, for fans of the Killers, Bono, Garry Barlow & Coldplay, it was quite a sight to see. The applause when Bono came on the stage was mad. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ooooh, but exciting news, U2 might be streaming their album on MySpace on Friday, Feb. 20 @ 5 a.m. EST (2 a.m. PST), which is most likely today for some (time zone, etc.). here's the link to the source: EW News: MySpace U2's New Album I also read that the album was released for u2.com memebers but got pulled down. Either way, I can still wait til 3/2. We'll all see if these things are true soon. Man, I'm just trying to keep up with life, the fun of course....will i give the album a listen, mos def. My priorities are straight: Love Above, Family&Friends, Music, Eating, Sleeping...& school
  15. I missed this one... I haven't yet but I aim to now I think the diverse personalities in the band just make for great comedy as well as some great music
  16. Yeah I was reading that quote when it went from enlightening to what?! hilarious! I love that quote as well, in fact that was the other one I was gonna post. It was great of Bono to point that out, cause some people need a new perspective about superority in religions and beliefs. That's why I love the concept of "coexist" so much, it just makes sense to support each other. oooooh...is that a special day for you...perhaps when you graced this earth...
  17. ...this had me choking on some water...thanks for the laugh
  18. Yeah the tickets went fast even in the presales plus LiveNation & TicketMaster seemed to be holding back seats for a majortiy of the shows. I managed to get a ticket, it's easier when it's for a single tix. If Oxfam is joining this tour as well, I would highly recommend volunteering as you get to help out a great cause plus you will be able to see the concert for free as well. Seating varies but if it's free and its better than lawn or the very back, you can't beat that. I volunteered before at concerts not with Oxfam but it's still a great experience all around. I plan to do this time around, been wanting for 3 years.
  19. yeah they're both adorable...in fact they are all! There's a part 2 to a really good interview via The Observer. It's mainly Bono but also has snippets of Adam, Edge, & Larry too. It's a lengthy read but a great long read. It really had me laughing, smiling, and pondering...good facial exercises. U2 Interview-The Observer One of my fav quotes: "You know, it's like that thing that people said about U2, that most bands start off writing about girls and end up writing about God, but we started off writing about God and ended up writing about girls. But we found the God in the girls, that would be my retort."-Bono Also a short video to watch...
  20. I'm not even gonna ask how you came across those lego pictures also i headed over to the u2.com site, and for members there's a new video of Adam playing around with a "Batman" guitar, nice to see more of this side of Adam plus Larry's expression is hilarious. I'm sure someone will be quite 'content' with a Adam-focused piece...
  21. what?!, first a whole hour show on conan then a whole week on letterman! this certainly makes me giddy...it would have been nicer to have it on conan's show but letterman's funny too... hehehe,, i'm thinking of all the people who can't stand U2, but might see them everynight for a week on the show:naughty:
  22. nice video clips:blush-anim-cl: Even though it might not be a guarantee that there will be a pre-sale for fan members this time, I don't mind shelling out the $40, which I did last night. Since I remember the last tour I was part of the club but tickets literally sold out the minute they became live, so I ended up going down to the venue the day of the concert, found a decent price for 2nd level seats and might I say it was awesome. But besides all that, if anyone wants to listen to 30 seconds of the song on the album, here's the link to the @u2 board with the link in the 1st post: 30 sec snippets of the songs Personally, I'm holding out from listening, plus it bothers me a bit that it's from a walmart site, but I can wait since I'm kinda busy with schoolwork And from the look of things, everyone seems to be raving about how awesome this album sounds, of course that's no ultimate judgement but it definitely helps...to each to his/her own
