  1. Well if you're getting there in the morning, there should be plenty of time to take a nap in the sun... I'm sure we would be very tired when we arrive, but when Mika takes the stage, the adrenaline will kick in like nobody's business. So I have the Mika playlist all ready to go on my ipod with some Michael Jackson and pretty much the hits of the whole 80's decade to make the music stretch out longer. Who doesn't love the 80's?
  2. Oh thank you for that, I'm going to aim for that one. Maybe you could arrange for someone to get one for you at an upcoming show and mail it to you. Heck I would do it for you if not. Though I'm sure they would eventually add it to the mikasounds shop.
  3. Those were some beautiful pictures you found, love the ones with the Mika poses. Curious...did anyone get the red shirt with gold writing in this picture. Looks stunning, does anyone know what it says, we are golden...?
  4. Ah I saw this on my tv. It's showing a couple days this weekend for me. I just assumed it was a previous concert he released on dvd. But the interview part intrigues me even if it will be something that on his concert dvds. I have dvr with a recorder to dvd and could upload it if someone tells me how to transfer it from comp to youtube.
  5. I was silently cheering for you guys to get in. So, I was glad to read you guys had an awesome time. Ellen is the only show besides the Colbert Report I would go to see. Sounds like a dance workout you guys had going there.
  6. I think it's autumn now or is that the same thing as fall too? Maybe they meant Winter...
  7. I loved your report A.Clay, very entertaining to read. Especially the part about your sister leaving her walking stick behind, just hilarious.
  8. To each to their own, everyone's allowed to have their own intake. Though...I feel robbed that's there's no David Walliams It would have been hilarious if he was in one of those outfits and caught Mika and the video would've transformed into a creepy serious comedy routine. But yeah, maybe they have something else planned...fingers crossed
  9. Managed to find a remix of "Happy Ending" and MJ's "Billie Jean" on Jamglue, not that well blended but still interesting. Same place has a instrumental of "Relax" here...http://www.jamglue.com/tracks/801951-Mika-Relax-Instrumental- Still looking for good ones myself, if I ever find a few good ones, I'll be baccckkk...
  10. Looks like the opening act is going to be "Gary Go" according to the Fox website. Honestly have to say that when I went to his website, I thought the guy was a mutation of Buddy Holly and Where's Waldo. Just an interesting sidenote... The only ticket I received is the one that I ordered from Ticketmaster...my tixs from Sandbag haven't arrived yet. Though I remember years ago, you had to wait like until 3 days before your concert to get tickets in the mail. Been noticing the change in the last few years. That brings up another thing, I will have an extra ticket to sell, just don't know yet if it will be the GA or reserved seat I'll sell. So it's up for anyone who still needs a ticket at face value.
  11. this is brilliant! David is mad hilarious...smiles like Steve Martin too
  12. Aiming for Noon as well I was just in Oakland last night and passed by the theater with its pretty red lights. Though I have to mention Fenton's Creamery that's just 6 minutes away...went there last night too...awesome ice cream parlor that's been there over 100 years... If you have the time that day, you should check it out, they are always open near Midnight on the weekends, always packed but the line goes fast. The taste still lingers...
  13. Just got an email from Ticketmaster saying my tickets have printed and that they should be on their way soon, which would be Monday for me...
  14. Yeah, you have to have an free account to listen to the full songs. Good listening so far
  15. awesome funny thing is that the movie "the man who knew too much" played on TV today.
  16. about time...huh? Ellen's always fun, hope he does a mini interview or better yet one of those games.
  17. I was able to get reserved seating although it seemed like only the Mezzanine and Balcony were available. Maybe it was just me, but I do think Lodge seating was not available to purchase? Anyways still got a good seat in the first row of the mezzanine.
  18. Mika's the word then. That's awesome, the more sweets the better. Honestly that way of queuing is fun too, especially the people teasing, i mean the people watching. It would be great if you bring your speaker if you can, if not, no worries. I think I'm just excited since this will be my first time seeing Mika and the vibe of most his fans feels like it should be a celebration. Plus it's going to be Mana's birthday so I'm sure she'll be happy too! Still thinking about the time to arrive, I'll be staying at a hotel near the venue the night before. Since I'm so not the morning person unless I've been staying up all night. Everyone's getting the spirit, anything at all you can bring will make it merrier. Of course the best thing to bring will be our enthusiasm. And as far as I can tell already, Mika peeps seem to. So awesome that you can dress your parents up. My mum even offered to camp overnight, well more like volunteered my dad to do it. I told her that probably wouldn't be necessary. Used to all those Prince concerts or something. I owe it all to my mother though, she's the event planner in the family and loves creating awesome parties to bring people together. So I'm just trying to do the best imitation I can of her. p.s. lol at what to tell people who're seeing, imagining the mob scenes and news cameras
  19. Yeah I figured the food is for sure...but eating and music and now maybe some games just might sweeten the pot. Since queuing should be as fun as you can make it. Thinking of the "No" game like the one at baby showers where you can't say the word "baby"...and if you do, you get your clothespin/necklace/sticker taken away. The person with the most of these wins. Of course we can Mikaify everything... *mika-ish bracelets/necklaces for the game *music player...mika tunes and maybe other artists...Michael Jackson, etc. *snacks and sweets I'm just brainstorming at the moment so anyone who has any ideas to make waiting time more enjoyable, chime in.
  20. I was checking out the Fox theater's site, and Mika is on the calender of gigs now. If you click on his name, a pop-up window shows that reserved seating is the same as GA too, for $29.50. I absolutely love that this used to be an old movie theater back in the 20's. Plus I read that they just renovated it to be open last February, so it should be nice. It looks like this will be an entertaining queue line to be in. I'm thinking about bringing the food or sweets. Maybe portable Mika music too?
  21. It looks like the Mikasounds pre-sale has been up and running. Seats seem to be available for all shows except the New York gig, says it's sold out. Maybe there will be some for the general sale.
  22. I'll be crashing the Oakland concert as well. Of course this means I will have to cancel my U2 Vegas mini-vacation but I've seen seen them before plus they are bound to come to the bay area this summer. And I guess I really can't complain since there are places he won't even be playing....so yeah I consider myself lucky. Man, Finally going to see Mika live in concert...
  23. I'm enjoying all the tweets from Coldplay, love how Guy posts pics of almost everything. With my concert coming in July and the semester ended, I was looking for some Coldplay fixes. Haven't see this in a long time, The Nappie's "I Am Your Baby's Daddy"...it cracks me up just as much each time. It really is a catching tune. "i ain't no baddy....i ain't no baddy" The Nappies Video And it's really is sorta endearing in ways if you look at the words...
