  1. Yeah, I totally should have figured that out from reading the Mikagasmic threads, but honestly, it's that smile that gets me more than the chest....not that the body isn't fine because it totally IS, but my GOD that smile! I'll be in my bunk
  2. I love that picture so much! You guys are trying to kill me
  3. THANK YOU My favorite pictures are the ones that haven't been photoshopped. He's so much nicer looking when the photos haven't been "enhanced" or "retouched".
  4. I love that! I was just watching a recent James Bond movie where that happened and the guys were climbing and jumping onto impossibly small targets without missing and falling to their deaths. It was great!
  5. I think my mom has it on DVD. You are making me think I should "borrow" it for a while
  6. "River" "RT" It's all good Sunny and warm sounds delicious. It makes me laugh that the A-Team is still being watched. Haven't seen that since I was kid. I still love it when a plan comes together
  7. Hey, everybody! I got some sleep and promise I'm not insane today It's still grey and cold here. How's the weather where you are?
  8. I'm so glad I was able to help! Let us know how your party goes
  9. First, and most important, don't stress! Things will probably go wrong. Things almost always go wrong. It's no big deal. The things that go wrong tend to make the most interesting stories. So, when something goes wrong, think of it as a chance to improvise instead of a tragedy. It really will be ok. Remember, it's YOUR party. It's a chance to do whatever you want within the limits of your resources. Have fun with it. Think about what you like to do and then do it times ten. If you are having fun, it will be contagious. Even if it isn't, then you still had a good time. That's what birthdays are for. So, once you know what you want to do, make that the theme. Then, you can figure out what kinds of decorations, foods, activities go along with that theme. A theme doesn't have to mean matching plates and outfits. It's just an easy way to come up with ideas. When I was in University, my best friend mentored me in my poetry studies because she had studied poetry when she was in Uni. So, for her birthday one year, I enlisted the help of a musician friend to give her a poetry party. She had taught me to use images that related to my five senses in order to convey abstract ideas, so I gave her something that felt amazing, something that smelled amazing, drew some pictures for her, asked our friend to play a song for her, and baked a cheesecake for her (because it was her favorite dessert.) I also memorized a poem for her and recited it while she ate her cheesecake. Instead of just singing a song, our friend actually wrote a song for her and asked her to name it. Some years later, he played that song at her wedding. A theme doesn't have to turn into a cheesy party, unless you like cheese. It's just a way to make planning easy. Somewhere around here, there's a thread with all kinds of ideas for a Mika themed party. Many of those ideas can be modified to fit other kinds of themes. One thing to help you plan: figure out how much time you have for your party. Is it an all day party, a couple of hours in the afternoon/evening, a sleep over? I once went to a party that was a morning brunch. If you can't come up with a theme, then knowing how much time you have can help you figure out what you want to do with that time. Best of luck planning your party! Happy upcoming birthday!
  10. I miss Ben & Jerry's Rainforest Crunch. All of their ice cream was SO GOOD back then. It's still good, but not the way it used to be. Some of my favorite snacks: pita & hummus almonds & raisins apple slices & almond butter (like peanut butter made from almonds) crumpets, digestives, or candied ginger I could eat bananas every day. For dessert: chocolate with 65% or higher cocoa content chocolate covered almonds (oh yeah, I love me some almonds) I'm going to say baklava even though it's impossible to get good baklava in the states...but when I had the good stuff, I nearly died of happy.
  11. I'm gonna go pass out now. Remember, you saw NOTHING! I was not here! This did not hap...*SNORE*
  12. OMG HI! Don't mind me today. I'm completely out of character. But yes, I will be around for actual talkin's when I'm not insa...I mean sleep deprived
  13. I KNOW! I KNOW! It keeps the audience participatory!
  14. Aaawww noone talked to me! *blows a raspberry* *falls over snoring* (OMG SO LOOPY!)
  15. I've been composing a way too long response to something Laurel posted earlier, in the random happy thread. I'm half insane with hardly sleeping the last few days. Otherwise, I'd be more participatory (I don't think that's a word!)
  16. Well, I hope you love it as much as I do. You've got me wanting to take a trip. I haven't seen the art gallery, library, or my favorite shops in years. Zulu music in the Kits beach neighborhood is awesome. (Kitsilano beach, I mean.) I can think of about a million other things I wish I could go do again, but that isn't necessarily helpful to you. So, have a great time, if you get any free time while you are there. It's a beautiful place
  17. Vancouver is insanely expensive and Toronto is insanely cold. However, both are incredibly awesome, but I'd recommend Vancouver just because I'm biased. I am in love with that city. Still, half of my friends are in Toronto, so I could never choose if I had to Enjoy your trip!
  18. Well, it can be difficult to get your meaning when one is distracted by your sig It's so hypnotizing
  19. oh...OH! *cough*ahem* Thank you for the clarification :roftl: So, I'm gonna go pretend that I didn't just respond to that like a 12 year old
  20. I am still looking forward to it Where is it? We now return you to the thread already in progress
  21. I'm usually quite familiar with regional differences in phrases between different countries, but I am sadly unaware of any alternative meanings for "porking". So, I'm wondering if that says what I think it means or if it's really something quite innocent and I just don't know it. So, ummm, what does it mean where you live?
  22. UGH! I thought the off side rule was a hockey thing. I know NOTHING of sports. I think it's something to do with people, balls, and special equipment.
  23. I see you guys! Get back to class! MUAHAHAHA!!!
