  1. Thanks for posting:biggrin2: There´s lots of info on the EP in that review and very little info on the tracks in my opinion. But he´s positive - and he should be:wink2:
  3. I actually thought this would be about his (nice, green!) watch:naughty: Bet he had a lovely time watching.
  4. Well, I´ve heard someone ordering one (from another artist that is!) and just asking for an EP (pronounced the English way). You should try and find a decent record store (with only one or two stores in Holland). There are several stores in the big cities:wink2:
  5. I think (and hope) he´s hand painting album covers. I know he told us a long time ago that his sister was working on that already - but I expect something special for this one, so I bet it´s not finished yet!
  6. It´s good to know what it is exactly. Many artists have done that - it could be very successful. At least, this means we´ll get someting in the near future. The recording and mixing he´s been doing is work, of course, so I actually do understand he is now taking some time off.
  7. OK, there´ve been so many artists postponing their releases over and over again, but this time, when Mika says 'v soooooon' I think that will actually be 'v soooooon'!
  8. Yes, that´s why I ordered the US version of the album:) I totally love ´Erase´. He really should perform it live some time - I can still see myself singing along to it loudly everyday some time ago. It´s a very powerful song, with amazing vocals and recognizable lyrics. You should really try and get the song!
  9. OK then, thanks for the info:) Still, it would be very nice if a song written by such talents would get a release. Robbie is indeed working with Mark Ronson now, but also with Guy Chambers again, I´ve read.
  10. Can I ask something? I don´t know if you guys´ve done this in the past, but I sometimes do it when an artist is recording new music: I check out the ASCAP and BMI site to see if any new songtitles are available. I just looked up Mika on the BMI site and noticed he wrote a song with Robbie Williams´ writing partner Guy Chambers! I hope that isn´t very old news though. Guy did some pretty amazing songs with Robbie like 'Rock DJ' and 'Milennium'. A collaboration with Mika should be totally amazing! They wrote 'Rain On Me' together. The actual link to the source is very long, so you could use http://bmi.com/ and search for Michael Holbrook Penniman:wink2:

    Newbie!

Hey there everyone, I´m Leon from the Netherlands and I´m very happy to have joined this great community! First, I must say that I used to hate people who were posting on some artist´s forum saying 'well, I´m actually a fan of another artist, but this artist is also kind of good'. But now, I have to admit that it is actually possible to be a fan of more than one artist! I´ve been a fan of Sophie Ellis-Bextor for almost 7 years, and I noticed that it is actually possible to be a fan of Mika´s music also. After all, Martin played for Sophie before and Sophie was a Lollipop girl for Mika´s performance at V in 2007! It was her who introduced me to Mika when she attended one of his gigs. I run a fansite about her which will soon become the largest online Sophie discography I first discovered Mika when his first solo single was released in The Netherlands. I noticed that not only 'Grace Kelly', but also 'Relax (Take It Easy)' and 'Big Girl' and all the other singles are great. I looked Mika up on the internet and decided to ask his first DVD for Christmas. I was (and am) totally amazed by how great Mika plays his songs live! So then it all started, I started to listen to Mika over and over again. There´s one thing I dislike (like to get that one out of the way right away now then:wink2:): Mika´s singles are always released as a 2-tracker here in The Netherlands. I´m used to that, it´s been the same thing with Sophie Ellis-Bextor who always has two UK Bonus tracks or something. I (of course) do not blame Mika, but it´s quite a pity. I especially like the variety of his songs. He´s very good at uptempo powerpop tracks, but also very good at touching ballads. I personally relate to most of the songs Mika released (haven´t been so lucky with the girls...xD). Naming the songs I like most would be useless: I like them all. Would like to name the Parc des Princes-dvd live versions of 'Happy Ending' and 'Stuck In The Middle' though: those are totally amazing! Pff..I´ve been writing too much, right? Sorry! Thanks for reading! I will be on here quite often, but I unfortunately can´t post that often because I´m very busy with school most of the time. Hope you understand! See you around, Leon.
