Just looking through the threads and no-one seems to have picked up on this thread in Members Only discussions, so I thought I'd re-start it. Mikalove=) and myself are both from Blackpool, and thought, along with some other members (kt4mika I think it was) that even if we don't get tickets we could meet up anyway, have a day in Blackpool, go on the Pleasure Beach, for a meal etc and then perhaps wait outside to catch a glimpse of our lovely Mika. Sadly I don't do rides, but I'm sure others will do. I did have a suggestion for food though. We could go here: http://www.westcoastrock.co.uk/ Its literally across the road from the winter gardens. Of course its popular and on illuminations night it'll probably get snapped up quick for a party, but its a thought. Function rooms are free, but you have to have so many per head for a buffet to book them. Otherwise just turn up and hope they have room. It was just a thought..... Feel free to add names and ideas

I've looked at Will's forum and no-one seems to have got anything there either - good sign ? maybe ? they seem to be in two minds whether they would get physical tickets or e-tickets too !

Was that BBC tickets too ?

Now I'm going to be jumping up to check for post instead !! The more I look at the T&C's the more I think they will send out tickets by mail..... Here's hoping...... I suppose we will know by the end of the week for sure either way...

OOOh plus I have just seen this on the Friday Night is Music Night free ticket T&C's *Listeners, who have secured a place, will know they've been successful when they receive their tickets which will be mailed from Friday 21 August 2009. It says they will be mailed from....so perhaps its the same for the Mika's gig ? Well, there are a few others of course, but we all know that he is the important one <<that's me....clutching at straws......>>

It did say "*Listeners names, who have secured a place, will be issued a pair of tickets from 10 August 2009" and there were people phoning as well as online applicants, so perhaps they are posting them all out today ?? Not sure it said anywhere to expect an email. I guess that we are all hoping for an emailed invite but it might come through the post instead ! At least that would be a good reason not to have heard anything at this time of the day !!!

Wah ! Wah ! Wah !!!!!!! WHOOP WHOOP !!!!!!! I've only just seen this announcement - I live in Blackpool ! Mika in my hometown - HOW exciting is that !!! I've applied for tickets and am desperately hoping that I get them - its down the road from me ! I can't believe it - soooooooooooooooooo excited !! <<<does the happy dance>>

AAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH - I'm on that video !!!! Totally forgot about a video being filmed !! I'm next to punky (who was in the cat ears) and you hear me say thanks for a great gig - and Mika does not hear me at all - lol !!!!!

Hi Punky I was stood behind you in the queue (with the pink flower in my hair). I remember how excited you were to meet him and that you had a lovely giggle. I'm glad he gave you a nice smile. It was nice to meet you.

Whoops, sorry about that Lovely to meet you Blue Eyes and Jesterkevin (glad he cleared up what happened about the signing with Daz etc)! Forgot to say on my report, atmosphere was fantastic - even up there in the 2nd circle. It took a while for people to get up, but when they did they stayed dancing ! Thankyou Mika you put on a show to remember !

Hi, I'm fairly new to MFC and this was my first Mika gig. Just wanted to share my report on the whole night. I was in the second circle (too much debating on whether to go or not and missed the nearer seats). I arrived and looked around for MFCers, they seemed to be everywhere, but all busy chatting. I said Hi to Mrs Fluffington, but then stood around looking a bit lost. Anyway, I didn't realise that you couldn't go straight in and went to the doors (which were blocked) and heard some of the soundchecking stuff, just music though, not Mika). When we finally got in and seated I got chatting to a lovely lady called Diane. She has a daughter who is friends with one of Mika's sisters and knows the family well. She has known Mika since he was 12 and had some interesting things to say about him and his family background. I think she was there out of curiousity as she knew him, not really because of the music as she kept asking me "is this a new one?" etc I thoroughly enjoyed the gig - the set was dressed in typical Mika fashion and I loved the whole thing. I would say that he really makes it a magical experience. I LOVED the whole thunderstorm/umbrella thing and all that glitter - awesome ! I also enjoyed Lollipop and the huge balloons. On a diversionery note, my two year old calls it the "sarah song" as in "say love, say love ooh loves gonna get you down" - sweet ! I came out on a high and headed straight to the stage door, I got moved over to the queue of course, but not before I nearly walked into the back of Brian May !! (oops). I was just in front of Daz, Blue Sky and her husband in the queue(sorry forgot your forum name) and got chatting to them. The report of Daz asking Mika for an autograph was pretty spot on, I was shaking Mika's hand at the time (although sadly he wasn't looking at me !). So thanks Daz as I got my EP signed because of you ! It was lovely to meet you all and Jemma too. Thanks for letting me tag along like a sad and lonely person to the tube. It was nice to have someone to chat to on the way back ! Now i can't wait for another gig and hopefully we can get a sitter and my poor hubby who had to stay home and babysit could come next time !

Sorry if this has already been asked but this thread is sooooooo long ! I know that it starts at 7.30pm, but does anyone know what time its likely to finish, just so I have an idea - I presume people who have attended at other locations will be able to help. Cheers 4 days....... (not excited much - lol) Angelcakes xx
