  1. My mom lives in Maple Ridge, so it's no big deal really Maybe this time I will take the seaplane! no, I don't have money for that lol, BC Ferries has the monopoly!!!!!!!! its only 30km but it takes 2 hours!!! They should just build a chunnel
  2. My school is.... I think it was built in the 20's, but its not one of those really pretty schools, it's pretty much a box. Its terrible and the school is terribly poor. It's a shame they couldn't get the job done sooner because I would have like to actually go to a school of some worth. (I cant switch schools because I'm in the French Program and our school is the only one that offers it) basically that other ticket was for my mom and she said she'll try to persuade them, but she keeps rubbing in my face how stupid and I was and how i'm NOT getting in and how the whole thing is just a big WASTE of time and money! the meanie is NOT supportive! But i'm ditching school to walk around vancouver, I always do this when theres a celebrity on tour! Sometimes, very rarely though! You actually see them!!! :D
  3. 2 tickets @ 47$ each plus shipping and handling it came to like 115$ and then I get a smack in the face when the tickets arrive at my door and it big letters NO MINORS omg, that didn't go well with my mom.... I think I was born too late. lol. CLASS OF ELEVEN. Its lame. thats the year my school closes down. Are you really down for it? Because we can try. We can come up with some story like "WE DONT DRIVE! WE DONT HAVE PICTURE ID JEEZE!!!" or we can pray to god that we run into Mika and he'll let us in early for soundcheck and we'll never have to go through the entrance dudes who look for ID
  4. Awww!!!! Well if you think we can manage to break in through the bouncers at the commodore and convince them that we are 19, I have an extra ticket. Otherwise, I just wasted 120$ of savings And my life is soooo crazy, I can't even talk about it on here.
  5. AW, you don't wish you were me!! trust me!!! mi familia esta muy loca!!! Its pretty awesome, I think we're the same age. I guess you're not going to gig on tuesday either then, huh?
  6. I am thinking: "So this is how you guys all get 3000000000 posts"
  7. aw don't! it's saturday! atleast its not monday i just has a carrot muffin
  8. I heard somewhere (from a teacher when I was in grade 3 or something?) that Nanaimo bars aren't even really from Nanaimo bars that they originated from somewhere in the UK. and then some lady came to our town and was like : "BEHOLD THE NANAIMO BAR" but I don't know, it could have all been BS. And Burnaby is pretty awesome too. I was talking about Vancouver Vancouver (lol wtf am I saying) and not something like Richmond or West Van or Surrey or whatever. The Sephora downtown @ pacific center is amazing! And it's always ridiculously over crowded by very well dressed girls with bright lipstick and their mothers And OMG Metrotown has a Sephora!?!?!?! I need to go there! They also opened a Forever 21 recently! I shall visit when I go over on tuesday!!! That mean's I'll go to BANG ON! and and MILLENIUM:boing: I am shopping crazy! And going to Vancouver means I can get some caramel apples from the rocky mountain chocolate factory!!!!
  9. A while ago, something happened at work. It went something like this. Me: *Takes girl's order* Can I get your name please? Girl: It's Mika Me: like.... M-I-K-A? Girl: Yeah Me: That's my favorite singer's name! Girl: I didn't know there was a singer named Mika Me: He's based in England Girl: HE?!??!!!?!!! Me: Yes..... Girl: Mika is a girls name Me: ................. I wanted to say "No it's not! Its both!" But i was afraid of this : her: Yes it is! Me: No its not! her: Yes it is! me: No its not! her: yes it is!!! so I casually walked away
  10. Haha, Nope:roftl: Thats me. I live in Nanaimo! Never come here!! Unless you want to die of boredom and @bitter.icarus You don't fail! You rock! Always remember that! If you actually live in Van City Van City Van City like in the actually Van City limits,(Lol I'm crazy) Then you are sooooo lucky thats so cool, you have all the awesome stuff all around you. (Like Sephora!!! ) This is ofcourse disregarding East Hastings...
  11. I'm sorry to hear that I get stuff for acne from my doctor and I agree that it's pricey!! Birth Control helps, (you're a girl right?) and if were to use any drug store products go with Clean and Clear Morning Burst Shine Control cleanser (green bottle or tube) and use their moisturizer since its lightly medicated too. (looking at around 8$+4$=12$)Just a recommendation, I know how much acne sucks and people say its no big deal but really, when you don't have it, it really boosts up the good old confidence! I'm sure you'll get better though! Watch what you eat too P.S. come to Canada, we have free health care and meds:naughty: I have a Pro-D too No school! Think I'll go back to bed...
  12. i lovfe miika and the mfc used to deoo thius allk the tim e you guysw vare awesome. bmika fansw are thge bestr :roftl: OHHHH DEAR ^^
  13. HAHA! I just read the tags. All typical Canadian streotypes! It's missing igloos and polar bears though. :aah: Hey, you know those Mika poster thingies on the entrance sensors at HMV, I asked the guy that worked there if I could have it and he said yes!! He said they were just going to throw it away so I gave my phone number and they'll tell me when to pick it up
  14. A Canadian thread !! And here I was thinking I was all on my lonesome. Sure feels like that at school. But this is fantastic, you live so near, I feel less lonely By the way, I'm Alina, hello I see you're speaking about posters....
  15. Indeed But I always imagined he'd look amazing on a BIG SCREEN
  16. This is one of those times I wish I had TV But thank goodness for youtube + the internet p.s. hi everyone, I'm still new-ish here:roftl:

  18. Wow I found a second home! I love Green Day elanorelle, it's amazing how you were at the concert in Vancouver, I was there too!
  19. yeah, It is I'm so stupid for not researching before the tickets arrived.
  20. Aw thanks guys, you're all really sweet. I'm in some deep, deep **** regarding the Mika gig in Vancouver (Sorry for language! I'm a huge potty-mouth) I'm 16 and that gig is for people 19+ I have my tickets and everything, 1 for me and 1 for my mom, the only Mika fan I know in person (lol) and I keep thinking about showing up anyways and coming up with some BS story about forgetting my ID, because, even though I'm 16 I look like I'm 25 or something. I'm 6'0'' ft tall so yeah. But anyways, I'm so like freaked out that I'm going to be told to go home and get the hell outta the Commodore. And I keep having these nightmares!!! That I don't get in!! And it all SUCKS! because I spent like a whole month worth of work and I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! I'm losing my mind, and the last stop of the tour always tends to be awesome
  21. Hello everyone in Mika-land. This is my first post. . My name's Alina(lame, stupid, boring name I know ) and I live way over in Vancouver. (well near it anyways) Basically all those rumours of nobody knowing who Mika is in North America are pretty much true, atleast in the small towns. I don't know any one within miles who likes him. I'm trying to remember here what my first impression of the guy was, and I remember 2 distinct ones but I'm not sure which came first so I'll put them together as a pair. One was when I was watching the Brits and he was on, he won, and he preformed! I thought he was, I don't know, polite and adorable and humble and talented. I think this next one might have actually been the first: So I think, this was a long time ago, I was watching MOD (music show in Canada by MUCH) and someone requested the video Grace Kelly. I remember all the audience members having no clue whatsoever about what the hell was just requested. I wasn't all that clueless because I'm a huge huge huge huge Queen fan, (Recognise the topid title anyone?) and over in our Queen forums i'd heard of him because, as you know Mika is compared alot to our dear Freddie. I never actually looked him up, because I was pretty convinced that music world did not expand past Queen. lol. was I wrong. Oh yeah, might I just add, the Queenies on the Queen, were not too fond of the whole comparing idea. I think they've gotten over it now though. Ok well anyways, so the Grace Kelly video plays and all I'm thinking is : "Oh my God, NO! why the hell is he wearing a solid colour?!!" (he wears all red in some parts) Thats one of my pet peeves, people who wear just one solid colour. Lol. I've gotten over it ofcourse. The song made up for it. As you can see, I've joined quite a few days ago, I'm just really shy and never had the guts to say hello. I hope we'll be friends and have lots of fun. Just looking at some of you guys who have a million zillion posts i'm going: " " But you all seem like nice friendly people, so I'll see you around. Any recommendations as to where I should start... I'm shy, I already mentioned! I need some encouragement. Ok, that puts an end to the LONGEST INTRODUCTION EVER
