i'm from 1983 but that last pic, well i remember when that spot still looked like that. It was when i was younger that they've changed that and now there's no cars allowed anymore to park there

the event is a city festival, it lasts 10 days. it's called "Gentse feesten" it' every year in july. there's several stages where music is played, those are free. then there's paying activities too, like theatre and music. There's also free street theatre. and on the 21st of july (because it's our national holiday and that day is always included in those 10 days ) there's fireworks with music
