Мне как раз такого одобрения и не хватало. Я в своем паблике перевожу разное о Мике не для того, чтобы кто-то оценивал мою работу. А чтобы заинтересовать других его творчеством. Это, конечно - сверхзадача, если хотите. Он все-таки относится к тем артистам, о которых иногда интересно почитать и узнать информацию за пределами их песен и музыки, даже если это пресловутый гей-пассаж из "тематического" журнала. Вот спросите меня, ради кого еще я бы тут распиналась.... да нет таких. Живых, по крайней мере...

    А я как переводчик утверждаю, что статья стоящая. Английская версия , разумеется. Может, это я так коряво перевела, что Вам показалось, что "язык" никакой. В оригинале там - умные небанальные мысли, изложенные грамотно и неглупо.

    Not these songs but I thought of Madonna`s "Holliday". Celebrate is a typical "summer hit" of this year, at least it is becoming popular in Russia as a summer single.

    Hi Alba ! I read your wonderful report on Mika`s gig in Spain that you attended, about the full show and also a fantastic meeting at the airport. I couldn`t have stayed silent `cause your story is just FABULOUS !!!! I wanna share your joy and I understand how great it was because I`ve also had my personal experience of meeting Mika ( just one and only but I hope it`ll happen to me again). Isn`t he sweet ? :fangurl:

     

    And oh - you chatted with Max !( that made me slightly jealous, you know....I kinda ... like him:das:) So next time you see him - tell him he`s got a new fan from Russia:teehee::teehee:

     

    I`m glad for you and hope you won`t be afraid to fly next time. :wink2: If you are - just think of me, as I`m also afraid of planes and flights on my own. ( my fear is that I`m gonna go deaf when a plane is landing:doh:)

    If my opinion is accepted I must admit that I`m not that happy with the video. I`m the minority obviously... It`s well done and nice, picture is good... But there`s nothing special about the video itself. (I don`t mean Mika:wink2:) I think the idea repeats Grace Kelly vid but in a weaker version. I`m glad I finally saw Mika there - that`s an advantage of it, but if compared to Make You Happy video -the latter one is much better (MYH), a real piece of art, wonderful reflection of Mika`s imagination. Celebrate is ...ordinary, unlike Mika.

    Если кто-нибудь еще, кроме меня , не считает Россию гомофобской страной - напишите что-нибудь в нашу защиту ! "Толерантные " европейцы высказались о нас в ветке Mika tells Instinct I`m gay. Россия - страна гомофобов, мол. " У геев в России нет жизни и будущего. " Мы, конечно, не такие "терпимые" и "демократичные", как Европа. Куда нам. Но мне стало обидно. Я одна там нас защищала.... Безуспешно..

I wonder how can anyone write such critical, insultive things of straightforwardness without having your personal experience of even living in Russia at present. That`s a cliche . Russia is not homophobic. Not more than any other secular country where Church has been accepted as a traditional institution. Russian Orthodox Church doesn`t fight or discriminate against LGBT people. It teaches tolerance, just like Christianity in general. It doesn`t affect our lives so much - actually, about 40 % of Russian population remain atheistic. As to me - I`m orthodox and I`m a believer , btw. Many things should be changed about our mentality and way we live, but Russia is not homophobic.
