He'd get old WAY before his time, since that's not exactly the easiest job right now. 2.) Instead of crazy fans, he'd have very intelligent and sophisticated foreign assassins from various countries after him. 3.) He either became a lying snake with few ethics or he was associating closely with and using the advice of lying snakes with few ethics. (After Clinton, my view of politicians is pretty much shot.)
