MexicanMikaFan Posted November 6, 2007 Share Posted November 6, 2007 Wow! I'd never joined a fan club before and I'm NOT a blog person. Actually, I'm technologically challenged. Alright, then...I'm from Mexico (as my nick reveals) and I first heard about Mika watching a tiny bit of the Grace Kelly video as I was clicking around the TV remote. Since the display of info for the artist's name, the song, the album and such changes from music video channel to the other, I remember being, first, FASCINATED by the charismatic and magnetically gripping creature on screen, and second, I couldn't figure out if Grace Kelly was the name of the song or of the artist:mfr_lol: (I mean, anything goes after Marilyn Manson, you know?). I was quite simply BLOWN AWAY by the music, the voice and the personality of the singer. The video ended but I remembered about it a few days later when I decided to YouTube it. Found it, of course, and have been helplessly devoted to the guy ever since. Not knowing if there were more people out there in my community that had seen or heard of him (he is not that big here), I shared the video with my contacts from all of my e-mail accounts:biggrin2: Some of them got back to me commenting on how awesome his music was and how cool was the video. You guys, I'm just a bit concerned that -God help me for even thinking this- he'll get THAT big (after the WMAs, really....what's next? GRAMMYs!!) and he'll be forever changed:crybaby: He's so charming and "down-to-Earth", and he's managed to stay that way throughout this crazy year, plus he keeps performing in clubs and small arenas. Now picture him post-Grammys... Oh, God!!!! He deserves every single award/nomination that he gets for his GENIUS work, and may he win it all, but it kinda saddens me that he could change. Snif.
