That's not an actual estimate for this year... it's just an average from past years. So it's not actually a real forecast. I mean, it could be -2, like it says it was one year. So anyway, since that's just an average there's no way to really tell until we get a 10-day forecast- which, even then, could change (but by lesser chance). This even hardly helps us to guess... It was 58 degrees one year, -2 on another...

.....I hope we get a year like the one when it was 58!!!!

*wishful thinking*

OMG  ....are you telling me something????

I don't want to know.....

SNOW

1. because I have NEVER seen it :blush-anim-cl:

2. ...as long as it does NOT delay or cancel flights :sneaky2:

You have never seen snow? Unfortunately, when there's snow on the ground in NYC, it has a layer of black dirt on top of it. Well, I was in the pouring rain for the free concert the day of GMA. I find it colder when it rains. Maybe you'll get to see a little of it fall. Just enough to see, but not enough to hinder our movements.

Got research!

With this plan, we can keep warm, eat well, be near the venue, and stay in contact!

1. I will be PMing those on the sign-up list to exchange cell phone numbers.

2. We will be meeting at PAX Wholesome Foods around 11:30/Noon time for lunch- 1776 Broadway (Corner of 57th St, near Columbus Circle).

Broadway?

Don't we have to walk from 7th avenue to 11th and 12th avenue, where the venue is located?

Please help me to clarify it.

From PAX to Boston Market, it's about 7ish blocks. Then it's about another 2 to the venue from Boston Market.

OHH

But how is that closer. I mean Pax Wholesome.

McDonalds is located on 10th avenue?

Nevermind, I go where I can eat healthy food because I am on a diet:bleh:

:roftl: You're making me smile, Holly, because 22 is pretty cold to be

standing out in for hours at a time. I'm a former

Pittsburgh girl and am used to cold weather, but

that's even cold for me -- for someone who's

never been in cold weather, well, you're going to feel it!

It's below freezing, after all! Hope you've bought that coat, scarf and

mittens! :wink2:

Obviously, the weather can change

from week to week, but it looks like this week temps in NYC are going

to be mostly in the 30s and will dip down into the 20s even... and there

was supposed to be major snow today -- they dodged that bullet somehow,

but I'm just afraid the weather has been so mild, we may be in for a rude

awakening before long. *fingers crossed that I'm wrong*

Well, regardless, I'm taking the train so hopefully I won't get snowed

in... I wanna see Mika! In 19 days! :woot_jump:

I know I am totally clueless..... I am doing a bit of shopping today... you know, things I have never bought in all of my 30 years on this earth...boots, a coat, mittens.... scarf...gloves.... what is better mittens or gloves or is there even a difference? ....I still say that the thought of seeing Mika for the first time is going to keep me nice and warm :mf_rosetinted:

I'm sure that's going to count for a lot, plus we'll all huddle together...

but once the sun goes down... brrrrrrrrr... Unless we catch a break

and the temps are in the 50s. That's what I'm hoping for :thumb_yello:

I'm so disappointed too, FD. :tears: Oh well.

I do hope you get to see SOME of the city -- will you have time to

at least take a bus tour or something? You can't come all that way

and not see some of the major sights... not that Mika alone

isn't worth the trip! :wink2:
