And Kelty etc etc .. you know how much I like the aussies and this thread:thumb_yello: When reading the story about Mika, I felt like it was a bite at us. It all felt snappy. And Mean.. But anyway, all I'm saying is I think it could've just been delivered better. Ok.. I'm over it.. You read an edited post that I haven't read and can't read myself and so therefore know more than me about it.. Maybe I'm just sensitive because of something a foreign fan said once.. People seem so possessive over him.. And I'm tired of the 'you're not worthy' attitude. Can we go back to happiness.. I'm tired of the unfriendly crap.. I'm sorry. That quote makes me sound awefull. We were not trying to be hurtful. Just having a conversation (amongst many others, which is why a few posts spread over several pages) about the way things come across. It's all about the stupid internet When we read it we didn't take it as a joke. If you could imagine how you would feel if someone said that about your country seriously, you would think they were a pretty horrible person too. BUT I can see now, reading what you said first through several times that you were only joking. It's just because we don't see your tone of voice or facial expressions or anything, and maybe it's a language barrier issue too, I dunno, but that's not how we took it - so of course we got defensive, etc. And then when you replied it still seemed like you were 100% serious and then and implying that nico was silly for replying how she did ... but yeah, do you see where it all went ? - forums! The same kind of thing happened to me on another forum. Ohhh ... this is reminding me of yesterday when I managed to restrain myself from pointing out something stupid. *is glad she maintained restraint, despite the demented contorted face it produced* I was with my dissection partner, who I am not on friend-terms with (and I am stupidly shy around non-friends) , and we were looking at the preserved examples of the dissection we have to do next week, and some of the groups get these display cards with info on them, so we were looking for the cards, but figured that ours didn't have one, so she says, "Oh well, looks like we just have a work cut out for us." ... GET IT?! "we just have our work cut out for us"!!! As in, we don't have it written out, all we have is ... the dissection example - our work cut out!!! ... Yeah ... I think I may have left her with a weird impression. Because I spent the rest of the meeting with a big grin on my face still trying to stop my self from blurting it out 10 minutes later.
