I get upset by people who post that they don't get pictures with him, or get to meet him the same as they used to. He's getting bigger, so he hasn't the time for a lot of one-to-one stuff. But these blogs and videos are (I think) his way of showing he still loves his fans. I also like that he compliments other artists he has seen. These videos and posts from him are so amazing, and I really appreciate how often he updates all of us! He's getting bigger and bigger, and I think his popularity is going to keep increasing, but I know he still appreciates us. And I do love how many compliments he gives other people, or even saying thank you to Kanye for mentioning his show. It shows he cares. This is an awesome way to keep us "in the know." 'he cannot keep a promise' or worse? quite silent now, me think............. Bwahaha, I'm far from silent. I could take note of how the videos don't work on Mikasounds most of the time even for people who do have Quicktime installed, or about the fact that he said "daily" blogs and, well, they haven't technically been daily. I could go on about the fact that the "Click here to go to the old site" link instead takes people right back to the holding page (meaning that people from the Mikasounds forum who don't have the direct link can't access their forum any longer). I could even talk about all the grammar issues and formatting inconsistencies displayed on his page. But, I won't. I'm so in love with these blogs and vlogs that I won't whine about the fact that his site is still all broken-like - at least, not for now. These last two vids, and the blog, are great. Back when I was whining about Mika being a diva who doesn't take advantage of modern technology to connect with his fans, this is exactly what I had hoped he would do - it's way above and beyond, in fact. I've watched the Amsterdam clip over and over because of that bit where the music breaks and the confetti flies - it just makes me smile. These little things like seeing Mika in awe of a pretty French chateau, give a thank you shout-out to Kanye or hearing him wax about a DVD on loop are so endearing. And I don't know about you guys, but just having him thank his fans for travelling to see his shows makes all the holiday time and hard-earned cash spent doing just that seem all that much more worthwhile. It wasn't like this before last night. My friend got it too... Maybe it's different in IE? The thing is, I found the exact problem in their coding by looking at the source code. They just messed up the coding, and it totes easy to fix. Firefox is just less tolerable of weird coding. The black hole is supposed to be the sizing for the video up top.
