He was a pioneer and I think it's just a matter of time till he gets in the place he should be, side by side with Elvis or Gene Vincent for instance. The Beatles were influenced by him in many ways (it was a two way thing), and Brian May always points him as one of his all time favourites. Just to name a couple of musicians...
