So you're not called Sienna?

Wow, I wonder who else on here don't use their real name as a username.:naughty:

No it's not my real name but I've been very used to it by now!:naughty:

I always have to laugh at that bit when it comes to meetups.

Someone will walk up, introduce herself and be like "hi, I'm Melissa..." and everyone just blinks at her. Then she goes "oh my MFC username is chickenloveslollipops" and suddenly everyone goes "ohhh!!!" and the lightbulbs of recognition are suddenly lit. :roftl:

Yes that is really funny!:thumb_yello:

If only people would just use their real name as username... :mf_rosetinted::teehee:

:teehee:

My real name is Karin, but most of my friends call me Kaatje. So I feel pretty "real" in here.

Shall we meet in a restaurant or something near to the Concertgebouw to eat something together?

I know this has been proposed already, but maybe we could really start thinking about a time and place now? Or is it still too early to do that?

That would be nice. :thumb_yello:

We should meet in some nice cafe on Leidseplein! Couple of minutes walk from the venue, and LOADS of nice places to meet, plus easy to reach for everyone :thumb_yello:

I'm all for that, I love the Leidseplein:wub2:

What, chicken before the gig.....?:wink2:

I should be so lucky; lucky, lucky, lucky!

Oh BTW. I'm sorry for starting the whole burlesque dancer/stripper discussion, that was not my intention

No, I'm sure. Stuck a nerve though :wink2:

It's much easier to take the train from the airport, it only takes about 15 minutes to the Central Station, and from there you can get gazillions of busses and trams to the Museum square

Yes but the bus is direct. Airport to hotel door.

I'm very curious and happy to meet you all in Amsterdam. Please call me by my real name Anneke and NOT AMP or AnnaMariaPetra.....I feel stupid already

If only people would just use their real name as username...

Aren't you really Diana?

I just have no imagination. Or not enough awareness of the dangers of the internet.

So I am Ruth.

I shared a room with Blue in London and to me she will always be Blue.

I just got this from tickets@sandbag.uk.com

Hi

We’ve been asked to inform you that the tickets that we’ve sold for the Mika show in Amsterdam are RESERVED SEATS. Sorry for the confusion!

We expect to receive the tickets next week and we’ll mail them to you as soon as we can so that you can find out which seats you’ve been allocated.

Kind regards

Helen@sandbag

So it is reserved seats after all!

I hope to have some nice seats :).

Oh great. Phew-ee

Still folks be prepared. I bought presale tcks to see Mika at the Apollo in Manchester (Nov 2007) and I was 5 rows back. Everyone in front was to do with the staff, their friends and relatives or business.

I'm still going to que :mf_rosetinted:

It is part of the whole experience :mf_rosetinted:

I will do what everyone else does. Queue if you queue, drink coffee in a nice bar if you all do that.

Shall we meet in a restaurant or something near to the Concertgebouw to eat something together?

I know this has been proposed already, but maybe we could really start thinking about a time and place now? Or is it still too early to do that?

Indeed. Somewhere both classy and affordable. Also close so we can see the venue. My hotel perhaps :wink2:

Yes, I did see that!

It's here, in English, if anyone wants details:

http://www.gvb.nl/english/travellers/tickets-and-fares/Pages/concertgebouw-stadsschouwburg-ticket.aspx

I think that means I can't benefit from free transport because I'll be arriving too early and leaving too late.

But it's generous and welcome. I expect to pay my bus fares.

What a mammoth multiquote!!!!!

Gawd, I'm so late with this [and you girls talk so much], but I heard this yesterday there will be reserved seatings [:biggrin2:], soooo plans are being made for a MFC-meeting at some fancy place [instead of uncomfortable queuing]?!??

Tell me more! :mf_rosetinted:

We could also just meet up on the Leidseplein and then just look a bit where we're going to eat. Except if we have to reserve first.

I think, if we are with a big group it's wise to make a reservation somewhere! Especially if we want to be on time for Mika! :naughty:

I got the e-mail too so I'm now relaxed about the seating.

Perhaps if I checked my e-mail sooner I'd have been relaxed for longer.

So I am completely sorted for organisation. Just clothes/packing etc.

Are flashing hearts out?

I had one. Then I was wearing it at a gig, jumping up and down not paying attention, and the heart came down on the barrier and broke into pieces. :roftl::teehee:

I have a vintage MFC badge that I'm going to wear. :punk:

Oh wow, so I Wikipedia'd Leidsplein - check out this panorama picture!

Not if I'm all dressed up for the classy concertgebouw. :mf_rosetinted:

I don't want to be too 'last season' :roftl:

We're Oldlings dear. When talking in the Dutchies I feel 'last season' all the time. :roftl:

I don't think Amsterdam would be surprised if you showed up wearing just the flag :roftl:

You'd better bring it then, for I wouldn't want to miss seeing you :mf_rosetinted:
