Ok, my opinion on the last live show.First of all Emma and Mario were very good: once again they proved their worth with two excellent performances.They are/would be those deserving to win, the only two really musically capable in every aspect.Mika and Raina are doing a great job with them. :original::thumb_yello:

 

I'm really sorry that Spritz for Five have been eliminated, they were/are good.I liked them and also their humor and irony, especially in the Daily episodes.Another wrong decision of the public, in my opinion, like that of send to the elimination the two groups of Morgan.For me, Vivian and Riccardo had done the worst performances.

I didn't like at all the behavior of Morgan when he abandoned his guys on stage to deal with the elimination, because they needed his presence there.He should avoid the dramatics and theatrical exits, to think less to his ego and more to the guys that he should help as a coach/judge.But, that said, I can understand his disappointment because, despite all his faults and exaggerated reactions, in this case, he's right about the audience.And the whistles of disapproval from the audience in the theatre also to Mika for his opinions, always the most objective and honest, and the cheers for those who are always looking for the approval of the public, are a further sign of its incompetence.This more young audience understands less Morgan's original and risky choices preferring other things and his usual strategies are less effective because there is who's using the same tactic, but by a more easy and convenient position.

There is indeed a disproportion that doesn't reflect the quality.We'll see next week.

Great show last night, in my opinion. :thumb_yello:

I report to you part of an article of a blogger about the show. "A show full of content, beautiful songs, strong themes, debates, discussions, unexpected eliminations...This time they chose the leitmotif of respect for diversity, aversion to censorship and bullying in all its forms , resulting, finally, the episode thematically perhaps more effective and "high" in the history of X Factor Italy. " :thumb_yello:

Much controversy about Morgan and his dramatic abandonment, the newspapers are full of articles about him...that man is magnetic, he is always able to take the attention over him. Many many criticism for Victoria Cabello, judged not suitable to play her role of judge, from every point of view. Fedez's job is quite appreciated and his team seems to be very loved by the public, but many claps also for Mika team. Mika is doing a great job, strong and sincere in his opinions and in his choices, in an edition of XF a bit strange and nervous, where the balances of previous years seem to have changed, perhaps for ever. Bravo Mika!

VOGHERA. Dopo quello sbrigativo colloquio con Mika fatto al Forum di Assago, Alessandro Raina aveva già perso le speranza di poter lavorare ad X Factor. Il trentasettenne cantante, musicista e autore vogherese era rimasto infatti insoddisfatto di quei due minuti trascorsi davanti al giudice della trasmissione televisiva, troppo pochi per farsi conoscere e dimostrare le proprie potenzialità come producer, la nuova figura che gli autori del programma stavano cercando per affiancare i vocal coach nella scelta e nella preparazione dei brani per i concorrenti. In pratica, producer e vocal caoch, tutti i giorni preparano i ragazzi, li seguono durate le prove, sistemano le basi dopo aver scelto il pezzo da cantare.

 

Evidentemente, però, quei due minuti e un'occhiata al suo curriculum sono bastati per convincere Mika a scegliere proprio Raina, che da due mesi segue la categoria “Over 25”, i concorrenti Emma e Mario, insieme a Rossana Casale, la vocal coach.

 

Nella sua carriera di musicista, Alessandro ha collezionato quasi mille concerti in giro per il mondo (condividendo il palco con artisti del calibro dei Rem e dei Verdena) e una finale al premio Tenco per il disco dell’anno con la band “Amor Fou” mentre in veste di autore ha scritto canzoni per Milka (Malika) Ayane, Emma Marrone, Paola Turci, Deborah Iurato e i Club Dogo.

 

Partiamo dall'inizio: come sei arrivato ai provini?

 

«In realtà un po' per caso, con una telefonata. Non so chi abbia fatto il mio nome agli autori del programma tra i possibili candidati per il ruolo di producer ma quando mi hanno chiamato per fare un provino con Mika ho accettato subito».

 

E poi com'è andata?

 

«Quando sono arrivato lì e ho visto tanti altri nomi illustri aspettare il proprio turno ho iniziato ad avere qualche dubbio sulle mie chance di avere il posto, così ho giocato la carta della sincerità. Gli ho detto subito cosa so e cosa non so fare, gli ho detto che mi sarei messo volentieri allo stesso livello dei ragazzi, che avrei svolto con consapevolezza il mio ruolo e che non avendo mai studiato musica non avrei potuto comporre personalmente un arrangiamento ma che più facilmente gli avrei descritto un'idea e ci avrei lavorato fino alla perfetta realizzazione».

 

Com'è lavorare a X Factor?

 

«Massacrante. Il programma è una macchina che non si ferma mai, c'è gente che lavora anche di notte alle scenografie mentre noi che seguiamo i ragazzi facciamo sessioni da 10-12 ore al giorno tra preparazione delle basi, prove nel loft, prove sul palco (pesantissime soprattutto quelle del mercoledì sera, quando registriamo una finta puntata per intero e noi producer sediamo al posto dei giudici) e via discorrendo. Praticamente è da due mesi che non ho una vita, ma è un’esperienza unica e stimolante, che regala tante soddisfazioni».

 

E Mika com'è?

 

«Mika è un vero artista, un musicista di altissimo livello e un performer eccezionale che riflette perfettamente la cultura mista da cui proviene: poliedrico, cosmopolita, colto, cerebrale, è quasi impossibile stare dietro ai suoi mille ragionamenti. Vietato, in sua presenza, cominciare le frasi con “Non farei”, perchè ciò che vuole sentire sono solo proposte, mai commenti negativi».

 

È difficile quindi lavorarci insieme?

 

«Sì perché essendo un perfezionista è molto esigente ma allo stesso tempo no perchè è anche una persona piena di dubbi, capace di ascoltare e farsi consigliare soprattutto su ciò che non conosce bene. Da lui c'è solo da imparare».

 

E sui tuoi concorrenti cosa dici?

 

«Emma e Mario Sono entrambi molto forti ed essendo i più grandi sono quelli più maturi dal punto di vista vocale, cosa che ci ha permesso di proporre brani finora mai osati».

 

Prima che musicista tu sei autore. Per quale concorrente scriveresti una canzone?

 

«Probabilmente per Ilaria, tecnicamente molto affidabile soprattutto su certe tonalità ma anche per Riccardo, che ha un timbro baritonale diffuso nella musica inglese ma del tutto assente in Italia».

VOGHERA. After the quick interview made with Mika at the Assago Forum, Alessandro Raina had already lost hope to work on X Factor. The thirty-seven singer, musician and author of Voghera in fact had been unhappy with the two minutes spent/passed in front of the judge of the TV show, too few to be known and to demonstrate his potential as a producer, the new figure that the authors of the program were looking for to support/assist (/team up with) the vocal coaches in the selection and preparation of the songs for the contestants. Basically, producer and vocal coach, every day prepare the guys, follow them during the rehearsals, arrange the bases after choosing the piece to be sung.

 

Evidently, however, those two minutes and a look at his curriculum were enough to convince Mika to choose really Raina, who for two months follows the category "Over 25", the contestants Emma and Mario, along with Rossana Casale, the vocal coach .

 

In his musical career, Alessandro has collected nearly a thousand concerts around the world (sharing the stage with artists of the likes of REM and Verdena) and a final Tenco Award for Album of the Year with the band "Amor Fou" while as an author has written songs for Malika Ayane, Emma Marrone, Paola Turci, Deborah Iurato e i Club Dogo.

 

Let's start from the beginning: how did you get to the auditions?

 

«Actually a bit by chance, with a phone call. I don’t know who made my name to the authors of the program among the possible candidates for the role of producer, but when they called me for an audition with Mika I accepted immediately.»

 

And then how did it go?

 

«When I got there and I saw so many other big names wait their turn I started to have doubts about my chances of having the job, so I played the card of sincerity. Basically, it's two months since I don’t have a life, but it’s a unique and challenging/stimulating experience, that gives a lot of satisfaction».

 

And Mika, what is he like?

 

«Mika is a true/real artist, a musician of the highest level and an exceptional performer that perfectly reflects the mixed culture from which he comes: eclectic (polyhedric/multifaceted), cosmopolitan, cultured, cerebral, it is almost impossible to keep up with his many reasonings (thoughts/way of thinking). Prohibited, in his presence, start sentences with "I would not do," because what he wants to hear are just proposals/suggestions, never negative comments».

 

It is therefore difficult to work together (with him)?

And what do you say about your contestants?

«Probably for Ilaria, technically very reliable especially on certain tones but also for Riccardo, who has a baritone timbre common in English music but completely absent in Italy».

Here the new songs of Mika team in the fifth live show.

This time: two songs to sing and two eliminations (the former decided by the public, the latter decided by judges).

The first song has to last only one minute and to come out from auditions or from previous live shows; the second song is new.
