Yup, it is the third verse! I am of the opinion that it is definitely Freddie, but there are some fans that are so certain that it is Brian. lol

Surely you dont mean this part, that is clearly and definetaly Fred On my album anyway:shocked: :boxed:

Hot child don't you know you're young

You got your whole life ahead of you?

And you can throw it away too soon

Way too soon

...maybe you mean another part of the song, hes def doing some other backing vocals, Queen the early years book is fab, my fav it the magic years vidoes they rock and the best it is they dont keep harping on about fred and his nature and how he got AIDS etc.....blah la blah...Queen and I the brain amy story was good, i have read loads of books and they all blur into one, but i am sure that one stood out for some reason

It is that part, and it's qquite silly that some think it's Brian. They all do the backup vocals on that track. They were saying on my Night At The Opera DVD that all four of them singing in a chorus was a trademark of the band. But of course, Freddie's voice can most distinctly be picked out.

I think pretty much the only Queen song where's its possible to get confused over who's singing is on '39, or White Queen, from Queen II, where Freddie's sings in a very soft manner. I mentioned being confused over '39 when I first heard it, and dosen't help that all the live performances I found of it on youtube had Freddie doing the lead vocals  I think the key to differentiating on those confusing bits in the Queen discography is to listen to how loud the person singing is. Brian tended to in general sing more softly than Freddie did, except for a few instances. :thumb_yello:

I'm not sure that John Deacon ever really "sang" although he's seen singing on videos, I thought I read somewhere he never really sang on records. I thought it was just for show.

Roger's voice really rocked. I wish he'd sung more...but Freddie's talent in that area was just so huge. Roger could've fronted his own rock band---if you listen to "I'm in Love With My Car" or "Sheer Heart Attack"--it's a superior full out hard rock voice. And he was easy on the blinkers too. :wink2:

Yes! I really wished Roger had done all of the lead vocals on Sheer Heart Attack, since it was his song and he did sing all of it on an early version. Oh, and Roger did front his own rock band! it was back during the 80's during Queen's down time between tours and albums and whatnot. it was called The Cross, and they released several albums, all of which are hard to find.

Roger and Brian were both super WoW brilliant live in their own shows, totally amospheric and all consuming.... when i saw them, got to looove them:wub2: Each Queen member is all so different from the others, which makes Queen so magical, classic and immortal(well if only).

I've talked about Queen on another thread and what they meant/mean to me.

So many song, so many fond memories. Some that even make the hair stand on end. Especially Freddie at Live Aid. Never ever, will we see a performance like that again. Bo Rap in gym class in P1.

Somebody to Love, a fav of my Uncle Michael's who was sadly killed when he was 16 in 1977.

Love of My Live, introduced to me by an ex boyfriend!

Radio Ga Ga, very special place in my heart.

Save Me, first video I ever saw on Swap Shop.

Under Pressure, 2nd single I ever bought!

Must go and put some Queen on now! You could talk about them all night.

What is your fav Queen song everyone????? If it's possible to single one out.

Maybe top 5

1) Radio Ga Ga

2) Save Me

3) Bohemian Rapsody

4) I Want to Break Free

5) Love of my Life

in my opinio is quite impossible to tell what are the 5 best songs ever.....but i have to say that Bohemian Rhapsody...is something that i can't even describe....how can a singer compose a song like that!!!!!!!

and i think that it's hard even to tell what is the best album of Queen....

Okay, so I had some awesome luck today. I go to visit my brother, and he's got all these old cd's his roomate left that he was about to throw out, and he tells me to look through them to see if there's anything I want. So guess what I find? all of Roger Taylor's solo cds. ALL of them! the three he did with The Cross, and his four solo ones. I nearly had a sheer heart attack (pun intended! :roftl: ) when I saw them. :naughty:

I know! his friend just left them and told him to give 'em away or do whatever with them. My brother isn't really into rock, but he knows I am, so it was a good thing I was there to save all that excellent music. :punk:

OMG, Jengafer Can you believe that i actually felt jelousy on the Budapest vid with Mary????

What feelings? Freak Out!!!

I think we all feel that way about Mary in that vidoe, I def did, Fred adored her, but she must have been quite a woman, I mean in a way he would have broken her heart when he made the gay relevation thing. But then maybe that is the perfect relationship, she could have the love of her life and still get married and have kids with someone else, so not mess up the perfectness of it. I wonder what her husband is like, i dont know much about her, except she has kiddies and she is awesome:biggrin2:

David Fuller from you tube has got lots of queen stuff like those links i put up, Subscribe to him if you havent already:biggrin2: it fantastic.

From some of the clips that i have heard of fred i cant help thinking if you were like married to him he would be a real pain in the arse:roftl: :roftl: such a perfectionist and always wanting his own way:biggrin2: Think Mary had a great deal...Like that bit at the start of Polar Bear studio session thing when rog and fred are bickering:roftl:

Thanks for these links, Jen. I've seen the first two Freddie and I agree, they're very cute. :P I've never seen the third, and I always wanted to see more of that performance. So thank you!!!

You are very welcome I am pleased someone is interested in them! My husband doesnt really appreciate my squeels of delight when i find a new(too me) song or interview of queen on the web and then stay up for 2 hours downloading rare songs:roftl: He thinks im a saddy, he's a bit right though:roftl: :roftl: :roftl:
