Il fatto è noto: nell'ultimo live di XFactor, Morgan ha salutato tutti sollevandosi dal suo ruolo di giudice colto con un "lascio per sempre". Quello di cui si parla meno è che l'abbandono è stato solo l'ultimo di una serie di scaramucce: per tutta la puntata Morgan e il pubblico in studio si sono punzecchiati a suon di fischi e rimproveri, fino al punto di non ritorno in cui sono volate parole pesanti: "Il pubblico merita la merda che c'è in giro". Apriti cielo.

Il mondo di Twitter impazzisce: migliaia i cinguettii che lo vorrebbero spennato. È evidente: il danno è fatto. Tra pubblico e Morgan è rottura, e ogni commento del giudice scomodo suona impopolare. Il ballottaggio, poi, tra i suoi due ultimi gruppi rimasti raccoglie i cocci di una serata storta. Da lì l'abbandono. Ed è sempre Twitter - ancora oggi - a fare da termometro popolare alla reazione fuori controllo del cantautore meneghino: c'è chi lo definisce un buffone, chi lo trova più affascinante, chi è felice di sostituirlo, chi lo supplica di tornare, chi gli ricorda la penale del contratto e chi ironizza: "Morgan lascia XFactor, al suo posto arriverà Mazzarri!".

Non da meno le reazioni della stampa: si va da chi insinua il dubbio che possa trattarsi di una pantomima a chi riduce tutto a "un trionfo egocentrico di protagonismo", passando per chi ci ricorda che Morgan ha dispensato più addii che canzoni. E ovviamente nessuno dimentica che, trattandosi di un programma televisivo, agli ascolti va l'ultima parola, e quindi a quel milione e 83 mila telespettatori medi che erano davanti al televisore (+19% rispetto all'omologa puntata dello scorso anno) e che oggi si interrogano su cosa accadrà giovedì prossimo.

Morgan dentro, Morgan fuori: questo è il dilemma. A pochi sembra importare dell'impoverimento culturale cui si andrebbe incontro se Morgan davvero abbandonasse il programma. E con la memoria torno alla quarta stagione di XFactor (2010), l'unica delle otto senza il menestrello punk, ma con una giuria composta da Mara Maionchi, Enrico Ruggeri, Anna Tatangelo ed Elio. La ricordo a singhiozzi, perché malgrado la presenza di tre professionisti (trova l'intruso), venne a mancare quel guizzo provocatorio e intellettuale che solo Morgan finora è stato all'altezza di offrire. Senza di lui il rischio appiattimento è quasi una certezza, nonostante la presenza di Mika, la cui forma e sostanza artistica rasentano la perfezione.

E non sarà certo un dettaglio che su sette edizioni fatte (di cui una ancora in corso) cinque le abbia vinte proprio Morgan. E lo sa bene anche la produzione (prima della Rai ora di Sky), che in questi anni ha dovuto incassare - in nome dell'auditel e di un più alto profilo del programma - i suoi vari sfoghi. Non ultima la recente intervista rilasciata a Le Invasioni Barbariche, dove aveva dichiarato di non voler tornare a XFactor perché se ne vergognava.

Morgan è borioso, è vero. Morgan è un provocatore, è vero. Morgan è insolente, è vero. Ma è altrettanto vero che Morgan sia una generosa risorsa, un fine conoscitore e un comunicatore efficace. Insomma un portatore sano di cultura. A lui dobbiamo l'aver introdotto nelle case dell'italiano medio parole sconosciute ai non addetti ai lavori, come arrangiamento e produzione artistica. Sempre a lui dobbiamo l'aver ricordato i grandi padri della musica popolare del nostro paese, da Giorgio Gaber a Umberto Bindi, da Sergio Endrigo a Luigi Tenco, fino a Roberto De Simone. Il tutto sempre puntualmente contestualizzato.

E se questo non è sufficiente a farci accettare la sua insofferenza, tipica degli animi irrequieti e geniali, allora un pubblico mediocre che "si merita la merda che c'è in giro" forse lo siamo davvero. Personalmente sono persino felice quando Morgan ci scuote quasi sfidandoci, perché le sue non mi arrivano come offese tout court o critiche gratuite, ma consapevoli e costruttive. La sua imprevedibilità, poi, è il sale di XFactor e ricorda l'atteggiamento dei migliori Sex Pistols, che con il linguaggio della provocazione, alimentavano anarchia e ribellione, ottenendo di contro l'attenzione del pubblico e tanta pubblicità. Certo la saggezza di Mara Maionchi, che ci ricorda l'adagio di Bertolt Brecht, suggerendo all'artista di stare un passo avanti al pubblico e non due, è calzante, ma è evidente che a Morgan ogni argine crei dipendenza da libertà.

Forse aveva ragione Platone nel dire che i poeti operano in preda all'enthousiasmòs, ovvero all'invasamento divino. Ecco, Morgan è probabilmente un invasato, ma a possederlo è certamente un demone buono e colto, al quale dobbiamo almeno qualche conoscenza in più. E non è cosa da poco, perché è la conoscenza a influenzare le nostre scelte, come sottolinea

The article is quite funny and the author made up a list of fake excuses based on which Morgan announced several times he'd leave X Factor, while as you know he actually never did (at least until now). Considering that Morgan is still there despite of his former claims, his reasons were not good enough so this list is based on inconsistent excuses, literally: Morgan being sick of TV shows, then focusing on a new album , Mika having bad breath and finally Morgan's Red Bull having lost it orginal sparkling.
