  1. ok, starting with the videos... sorry the quality sucks, movie maker has always worked fine for me with all other videos, but seems like it doesn't like this close up stuff or the dark colours or whatever. or maybe it was the movements, a lot of it is shaky as i couldn't stop dancing. will try to make some screenshots of the originals later on. little bit of big girl: dr john: talk before BIOTG (really funny, lol! ): that was part one, more to come.
  2. here are the other pix i took so far... but wanna upload the whole thing as pdf when i find the time: http://www.mikafanclub.de/misc/sfs02.jpg http://www.mikafanclub.de/misc/sfs03.jpg http://www.mikafanclub.de/misc/sfs04.jpg http://www.mikafanclub.de/misc/sfs05.jpg http://www.mikafanclub.de/misc/sfs06.jpg http://www.mikafanclub.de/misc/sfs07.jpg http://www.mikafanclub.de/misc/sfs08.jpg starting to upload my videos now.
  3. OMG i LOVE this pic! lolligirl took it, it shows mika in the moment where i told him that leator had the idea for the book!
  4. on the 2007 tour i think dusseldorf (where unfortunately i wasn't) and munich were 2 of the best gigs too. though i have to warn you, the bigger concerts in germany are always general admission, and like you saw in berlin, the number system probably won't work if there's more than 1 entrance. well, all things have their good and bad sides. if you wanna join the german fanclub, feel free - freddie's a member too (though not active at all ), and we have an english board!
  5. after the gig there were about 25-30 ppl waiting for him, it didn't take long until he came out, maybe 30-40 minutes or so. it was the usual "get all to this side in a line" thing, and us forum members chose the strategical position at the end of the line. there was a funny moment with sasje and leator and mika writing XX (kisses) to leator, but he should tell you that. for those who don't know, on the german forum we had made mika a booklet in the style of songs for sorrow (and no, we didn't steal the idea from the mfc, leator had it already in june! ) here's a pic of it: he was really happy about it and said that it's one of the best presents he ever got and that his sister would get jealous so would we have a copy for her too? (and of course we'll get her one! ) damn so now i have to stop the long reports, colleagues are back... might come online for 2 minutes in between, apart from that more tonight.
  6. damn i'd much rather be at home, uploading all my pix+videos for you, instead of sitting here at work and trying to look like i could concentrate on the things i should be doing. it's lunch time now, so i have a few minutes to start writing a report (though unfortunately without pix and videos yet). leator, sasje and me arrived at about 2:45 pm at the atomic cafe, bringing with us 26 golden balloons, some of them tied together to a chain, with the letters "we are golden" on them (see my twitpic). we were the first ones there. i went off then to the central station, to buy me a new contact lens (had accidentially destroyed one of mine in the morning...), and while i was away, john & band arrived (around 3 pm). when i got back, i waited for him to come out again, so i could give him the list with 8 names of mfc & dmfc members who didn't have tickets. well, that's what i did then, and told him about mika's tweet - john then said sth like mika will arrive soon and if he tweeted that, it should be ok. at about 4-5, most of the others from mfc+dmfc arrived, and the rest of the audience came between 6 & 7. the backstage entrance was a few meters next to the club entrance, everyone went in+out there... just mika obviously had found some back door. guess he arrived later than he should have, as we were let in 15 minutes late, because mika was not finished with the soundcheck yet. probably there were already too many ppl there when he arrived, that's why he chose the back door. john came out another time to tell us that the names on the list i had given him would be ok. it was funny really, after the gig we thanked mika and john in turns for making this possible, and one pointed to the other, like mika said, thank john, and john said, thank mika, lol! well, thanx to both for doing this!! those 8 ppl plus the few fanclub members who had won tickets were responsible for a good part of the crowd reaction to mika's gig! ok so at 7:15 the doors opened, and we all got to front row - well, we WERE the front row. i already told you how small it all was, had mika's ass shaking right in front of my face several times and had to take care not to wave my arms too furiously when he was in front of me, as i was scared i could hit him or poke him in the eye. it was funny, some of us were interviewed by bayern3 after the gig, and the woman asked me whether i didn't want to touch mika's hair as it looks so fluffy - she definitely asked that question to the right person, lol! well, i told her i would've loved to do that and did certainly have many chances during the gig, but that of course i didn't do it as he wouldn't like it. i have a pic of the setlist, though he changed it a bit. guess it was the same like in london on friday, no more of the new songs anyway than the ones he had already performed at gigs. for rain, he had silver confetti in 2 buckets on stage, and threw some of it into the crowd (with a mischievous look on his face, lol!) - the 2nd bucket he poured over saranayde completely, lol! there was also a confetti canon, so we were all covered in silver glitter. have some of these things on video too. we held the "we are golden" balloon chain all the time, and during WAG he grabbed it from us and waved it around, then draped it over saranayde, who then put it on the mic stand. generally the interaction with the crowd (ie the first few rows) was so great, as he could easily hear what we said to him and reacted to a lot of that - we also heard his voice right in front of us, not just through the speakers, really amazing. can't think of more about the gig at the moment, if i do, i'll post it later. trying to write aftershow report in extra post, but not sure how far i get before all my colleagues are back...
  7. it was, freddie! leator+sasje are on their way home in the car at the moment.
  8. rose, no, i don't think he mentioned it... leator said it was the best gig he's ever been to, so like you say "i won't wash my hands again" when you touch for example someone famous, he says it about his eyes cause he saw the gig with them. and no, mika's head didn't touch the ceiling... but i think he couldn't have done the "freddie" hands up thing during GK. btw, damn, i totally forgot to ask him about other countries, like i had promised! someone wanted to know bout new zealand and suzie about other european countries, and i forgot. sorry girls... i couldn't think clearly anymore after the gig, it wasn't the only thing i forgot, if that helps you. i still haven't decided whether this was the best mika gig i've been to, probably yes, but not able to make any decisions tonight, lol! off to bed now, it's so late and i have to get up in 5 hours and go to work, pfft...
  9. ok quickly before i go to sleep, here's one of my videos, from which you get a pretty good idea how small this gig was - no zoom! it's mika talking some german at the beginning of the gig. the first sentence he says is "it's been a while since we've played such a club show". after that he talks english again. and sorry for making so many mistakes in my first report post, no wonder you understood me wrong... was just v. quick and i'm currently not able to think properly, lol! btw, a quote from leator, he said after the gig "i'll never wash my eyes again", this made us all LOL! but expresses our feelings very well.
  10. nah, 12 in front row! was still really small though, it felt like the personal living room gig. waiting for the train home now. lol there were so many funny bits during the gig, got most of them on video. like mika saying that he wants to take his jacket off cause its hot... but his shirt was all sweaty so he said he wouldn't take the jacket off. and then someone said he should take the shirt off too and this started a bit of a discussion between mika and the fans, whether he should take his shirt off or not, ending with him showing us the middle finger (in a joking way of course), lol! got that on video i think. oh and he didn't take his shirt off. damn.
  11. damn, didn't have mobile connection in the club and now we're in the hard rock cafe (8 from mfc+dmfc) i don't get a connection either, this sucks! am standing at the entrance now for a short moment to post the news. gig was fantastic, smallest mika gig there ever was i think - certainly the smallest i've been to! his keyboard was just standing 1m away from us. all of mfc+dmfc were front row, only about 12 people, stage was similar to berlin just 2 steps up - just much smaller. mika was on fire, he joked a lot, tried to speak german as much as possible, and at the beginning of WAG he stole our balloon chain (see my twitpic from this afternoon), waved it around, draped it over saranayde and then over the microphone stand. :-) gig lasted bit more than 1 hour. after he came out to sign, we were at end of queue and gave him the songs for sorrow book of the german mfc we had made for him. he absolutely loved it and wanted a 2nd copy for his sister. :-) and when we left, john said to us "cheers guys, without you there's no fun". wow we're all so happy now. will write a proper report tomorrow, am not able yet to find the right words for this experience. but will post a pic or 2 on twitpic now.
  12. sasje, leator, me and 26 golden balloons arrived at atomic cafe at abou 2:45; at about 3:00 john and band arrived, soundcheck now. we already heard rain and dr john from inside. i was at central station to buy me a new contact lense (as mine broke this morning) while they arrived. waiting for john to come out again now, so we can give him the list. pic of sasje+me and some of the balloons: http://twitpic.com/hl25c we are golden!
  13. ah, so no martian penguin? damn. but sounds like he still has the make up of yesterday in his face, lol!
  14. from the bestival thread: sounds like he has that stuff STILL in his face! will let you know whether it's still there tomorrow in munich...
  15. :wub2: thanx for those! lol, i love it how your camera keeps adding even more glitter to the picture than there already is! guess that's reflections from the silver foil on stage... don't you ever dare NOT being front row, i love your pix and videos!
  16. tiibet, don't worry about it so much... i don't think they wanna judge you or anyone else for being there and being in front row at that gig, some of those who have this feeling were front row themselves. i understand you that if so many people go on about it the way they do, it's hard not to feel judged for being front row and fully enjoying it. though i think they're just expressing their own feelings about it. i understood it wrong at first too what they wanted to say with it, and if i'd been there i'd also have been front row and probably wouldn't feel it was wrong in any way.
  17. tiibet, as always your pix are amazing! love his cheeky grin on the 2nd one!
  18. oh yes, totally agree! though maybe he only did because me and many of the others who are going were bothering him with tweets about it for the last 2-3 days, and he just had enough of that.
  19. but then, it also was the type of gig for drag queens on stage. whatever, there were a lot of "good things" at last nights' show, something different for everyone.
  20. maybe the "something good" was also the glitter make up... wonder how long it took until they had it ready. and until he had scratched it out of his face again after the gig. must've been quite sticky when it stayed on in spite of all the sweat.
  21. drag queens on stage during lollipop i think. though for me the better surprise was that he was topless throughout the whole show.
