  1. i'm just uploading my videos, and i'll tell you my personal highlights of the day: first of all, i loved meeting all of you guys again, that's in fact the best part of it all! the weather was lousy until noon and after the show was finished, but in between it was great - no single drop of rain during mika's show, and that means something, compared to what the weather was like the rest of the time i spent in amsterdam! the support acts: sam sparro was great, but i could've done without the 2nd band. mika show: wow. he didn't add that much, just a few people more (the clowns and artists), but it makes it all even more colourful, interesting, just brilliant. the start of my interpretation was funny, he messed it up one time, the 2nd time he started laughing (i filmed that, see end of post) - didn't hear that he messed it up again, well anyway, it was quite funny. i absolutely loved happy ending, they sent balloons flying over the stage and the clowns were there again (one "flying" upwards with the balloons)... got a part of that on video too, but it's still uploading. the only thing i didn't like was that the stage and especially the catwalk part of it was to high (they could've made that lower and connect it with steps), so i could only see half of the stage. but luckily i was just enough to the left so i could see mika at his piano. video of the end of happy ending: (more to follow)
  2. i love the new song and couldn't get it out of my head since yesterday evening!
  3. ok, guess you got all the info already, so here just some pix (more, plus videos, tomorrow): the big girls threw that thing into the crowd, not sure what it was supposed to be, maybe a diet coke? stuck in the middle singing competition - our side won! *g*
  4. a quick hello from the hostel pc in amsterdam (this thing is sooo slow! )... weather doesn't look too good unfortunately, it's very windy and the last 2 days it has been like in april, sun, clouds, rain, wind... jacket on, jacket off, umbrella open, umbrella closed... just take your whole cupboard with you and you'll be fine. hope to see some of you tonight (for those who don't know yet, some of us have agreed to meet up at 18:00 at the central station main entrance, to have dinner together somewhere... though i think the main main entrance is closed, but as far as i saw it, there's another main entrance now - just where the biggest crowd enters and leaves *g*), and all of you tomorrow! btw, don't think you'lll have to worry about reports, rose will be there with her superphone, as far as i know?
  5. what, you wanna have special cookies for dinner? yup, have your number.
  6. MY teil, not luke's this time? ircazo was one of only 2 who answered my repeated request for a meetup... i hope all of you will come, i'm just desperately trying to set a place and time for a meetup, before i'm leaving for amsterdam tomorrow! so to EVERYONE: how about dinner together on monday, meetup at 18:00 at the main entrance of the central station? i'm sure there's some pizza hut or sth like this around there, where we can go.
  7. ah ircazo, i didn't know you'll arrive so late on sunday... so how about monday for dinner then? monday 17:30 or 18:00 at the central station? and of course i'd choose you to get on the list, i know about your bad luck in munich!
  8. the info we got was that olga met him before the show and he asked her to make a list of 50 ppl to get in the afterparty. as olga is more on the french forum than on the mfc, it's likely that most or all of the 50 ppl will be from the french forum.
  9. about the london afterparty: john came to us at about 2 pm and gave out wristbands for the afterparty (i think it was 70 at that time). he said he'd start at the front of the queue and move backwards, but the problem was that a) not everyone who was at the front of the queue was in fact there (some were away to eat sth, or just standing somewhere else), and b) people from the back were pushing in, and john just handed the wristbands to everyone around him. so several MFCers didn't get wristbands. now when mika arrived at the venue, avoca told him about that not everyone got them. mika said it was 70 that were given out and it should just be the people who have been his fans from the beginning - but she told him that ppl like allegra and queenie didn't get passes, and so he organized that avoca and allegra should count how many more passes would be needed and give them out to the other MFCers. and of course the meeting itself was mad then, cause there were so many non-MFCers, and so many people altogether. now obviously they've learned from their mistakes, cause in paris he asked olga, whom he knows, to make a list of 50 ppl to get passes. the problem in this case is just that olga will make a list of ppl from the french forum and probably not from the mfc. i don't know if mika is aware of this. however, for me it's alright, cause the concert is in france, and why shouldn't they get the chance with their forum too. but that's why i hope he does it again in amsterdam, so the non-french fans also get a chance. and if they ask someone of us to make a list and not just give out the passes randomly like in london, it'll be fine.
  10. well obviously they've learned now, if they ask someone they know to make a list!
  11. mikawebsite is the french forum (btw, is it official too? ). probably mika thinks that olga will also include people from the mfc, she's also travelling around, was in london in feb etc. ... well, we'll see.
  12. yup, one for amsterdam too please!
  13. seems like there'll be an afterparty in paris... hope they'll make one in amsterdam too!
  14. thanx rose for keeping us updated you're not too far from the front without arriving in the middle of the night? wouldn't have thought that to be possible in paris!
  15. i think it might still get quite cold when it's raining and you're wet, cause then also a warm wind will feel cold. on the other hand, outside you can use an umbrella, and inside when you're in the middle of the crowd it should be warm enough. so, about the meetup, is anyone else except for ioana/ircazo/vanessa already there on sunday? how about meeting up on sunday at 7 or 8 pm at the main entrance of the central station, and from there see where we're going? at the moment that's the only place i can remember from my last visit to amsterdam. let me know what you think. or for spontaneous meetings, ioana has my number.
  16. i didn't mean only available in germany, but only in the german language. which settings are set in the recorder? most important is, before you record, make a test recording and adjust the controls "master" and "volume" until in the VU right / VU left pictures the white needles stay in the yellow part most of the time.
  17. why not? we certainly need a name for him, until we get an official one.
  18. we could call him brad. i think he looks like a brad. i like his hair ... but i really miss luke behind the keyboards, although this guy seems ok, it looks just wrong.
  19. i use no23 recorder to record stuff like that - here: http://no23.de/no23web/MP3_OGG_Aufnahme_Player_Download.aspx - i think it's only available in german, but you can try. that virgin radio link doesn't work for me (player pretends to start but i don't hear anything)
  20. if you guys have time for that, this would be brilliant! an alternative would be, to open a 2nd thread, which is open for everyone to post reviews, but any chat or "wow that's great" etc. is strictly forbidden there and should be left in the review-chat-thread... would mean less work for you, and if people don't keep to the rules (which of course should be clearly stated in the first post, with a link to the chat thread), you can still close it? however you do it, i love the idea of seperate review- and review-chat-threads.
  21. it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain it's not going to rain... ok i think i feel a little bit better now. still, i'll take everything with me IN CASE it's going to rain, cause if i do that, the chances are good that it in fact won't rain.
  22. thanx for that video... can someone please post an overview of what he's saying there? again, i hate the fact that he speaks french well enough to do interviews in that language.
  23. mariposa! you're coming, that's brilliant! i think everything is going to be great! well, if it doesn't rain. i finally decided on an outfit 2 days ago, but it's supposed to be warm and sunny, well at least warm and dry, so i can wear it. with all that clown talking recently, i decided i'd put together a really colourful clown-like outfit. it'll be a mixture between something like this and a normal clown, a bit like the above, but just in colourful. i certainly won't put that much colour in my face though, but the bit i need around my eyes and on my lips will be gone when it's raining. plus, i'd be freezing in my sleeveless top and short skirt. arrgh, and again, i don't know what to do. rely on ioana's prediction (my weather forecast still says 16 degrees and 90% risk of rain) and just go on as planned, or look for a warm and waterproof alternative. well, i guess i'll try to find a compromise for my outfit and look for a way it can work also in cold and rainy weather.
