Melanie asked me to PM everyone on the list here and get a head count for who's still interested and has real experience to offer etc. Laying out is a big part of the yearbook, so we need reliable designers who know how to work it! I'm using Macintosh Notebook and there is a way to play all Regions, but it comes with a catch or two (duh!). 1. When you insert a DVD the first time, it automatically sets the Region in the application "DVD Player." 2. When you insert a different-regioned DVD, a dialog will come up to change the region of "DVD Player." Easy peasy! 3. HOWEVER, you can only change (or change back) the region of "DVD Player" 5 times EVER. So it's not really a good idea to switch back and forth. ...I'll probably just wait until I can find an NTSC. Some DVD Players also have hacks you can research online to hack region compatibility but I do not recommend that in case it screws up your DVD player. So don't sue me! I'm just passing on information.

Why couldn't they just release an "All Regions" NTSC DVD in the first place? That would have worked for everyone and then nobody would have any problems.

Maybe. I guess it's okay, because he clearly uses correct grammar otherwise. It's not like he spells every other word like that. And he's clearly not 12. So maybe it is a little endearing after all.

Let's hope when touring time comes around we don't get the same treatment like this.

If we have to wait this long (on such short notice especially, after we've been so excited to get it TODAY for so long), I think we'd deserve some deluxe treatment- not just passed off with the regular little version. I'd hope we'd get something worth the extra long 5 week wait! Or at least have the option! Plus- we're the MFC... If they made the deluxe packaging very limited, we'd so be up for it first! I've been running a commentary by IM with my friend at Tufts (I'm home in CT). She had 12 computers in her room with MSNBC on (haha), and I covered CNN. This is unreal. My first thought at 11 PM was that I could fel the world SPINNING. I can't wait for him to come out now.
