3. So cool that he got that girl on stage! Love this vid! what an amazing performance:wub2:
4. So good to read on twitter Mika enjoyed the show so much! He deserves this so much! Thanks for the first report! Sounds great:thumb_yello:
5. Love the way you described Hia Leah. I'm sure it must be a very beautiful song. Thanks for the photo report DaMango:thumb_yello:
6. Oh so he got the suitcases from the prop store! Was wondering about that when we saw the twitter pic. How cool, it reminds me of the imaginarium tour!!
7. This is a really good interview. Definitely one of the best we've read lately and so interesting. Totally get what he's saying about the Catholic church. It reminded me of the article he's done for XL about religion, that is certainly one of my favorites of his column as I absolutely agree with everything he had written. Walt Disney has always been one of my heroes so I'm really happy he mentioned him. His films were excellent and with so much heart. Also love his choice of favorite videos. Happy Ending has been one of my faves ever since I first watched it. Underwater is incredibly beautiful and in my opinion the best one he's done so far:wub2:
8. Enjoyed watching this interview so much! So relaxed, interesting and about music. It's true cassettes were really important back then. The first album I ever bought was a cassette (it was MJ's Dangerous). And yes a beautiful theatre is indeed the perfect place for a gig!! Also it was great hearing him speak Spanish! Thank you Laura and Alicia:flowers2:
9. You're welcome Alba! It really is an amazingly beautiful song:wub2: Hope you get to hear it soon.
10. Thank you for the vids Chris! Excellent performances:wub2: and the audience sounded really enthusiastic! Loved the Stardust intro where he talked about his grandmother. Also it was really funny when he threw the "brick" at Curtis.
11. awww how sweet that he got this girl on stage to play the piano with him. Also was very happy to read his tweet yesterday about how great the gig was! Very much looking forward to seeing vids!
12. This has been a truly amazing gig!!! Loved absolutely everything about it, the energy was incredible and the performance of each song was brilliant. The concet started with Un Soleil Mal Luné. As I've said many times before I adore this song! Mika performed it so beautifully, it was the perfect way to open the show:wub2: The connection between Mika and the audience was great! I was very happy to see that everyone was singing along all the time. He really deserves to have a responsive and super supportive audience. Before Billy Brown (which by the way is always one of my most favorite songs to listen to live) he talked about the Téléthon auction and explained that the person who won the piano lesson with him is actually from Switzerland. He also mentioned the twin piano teachers he had in Paris as a kid. This was a cool moment of the show and I think I have it on video. Will try to upload that during this week. Before Celebrate he talked about how nerve wracking the feeling of the start of the tour is and said that this feeling had disappeared thanks to this gig's audience. You can see that on Dani's video. The intro and performance of Celebrate was one of the best moments of the gig. Beautiful and heartwarming! This concert really made me smile so much! It was a truly brilliant first show of the year and soooo much fun! Huge thanks to Mika for this super amazing gig!!!
13. A lovely video thats advertising Les Enfoirés posted by Ysa In the video he talks about the audience of les enfoirés and how generous they are. Also here's a really good article (link posted on twitter by Anne and Vanessa) http://tvmag.lefigaro.fr/programme-tv/article/evenement/74257/les-enfoires-toujours-droit-au-coelig;ur.html
14. Thats a nice article. What he says about the Girls soundtrack and tasteful, melodic pop music is very interesting and true.
15. "La maturité est réservée au vin et au fromage". Love this quote, it's a very clever answer! This is a lovely and very interesting interview, thanks Nanou. Great to read about him working on a new album, sounds pretty exciting! Cant wait to find out about the surprise in Switzerland!
16. Thats fantastic, cant wait to see this on the dvd! I know it goes without saying but the energy of this song is amazing! And what a brilliant performance!!
17. great photos, especially this one!! thanks for posting Eriko!
18. The Origin of Love album has honest lyrics, incredible melodies, stunning vocals and all the songs are full of emotions and heart. Therefore this is a 100% Mika album and these are 100% Mika songs. Of course he is evolving as an artist and trying new sounds etc (all true artists don't stay in the same safe place for too long) but that doesn't mean that he or his songwriting have changed. Listening to the new songs makes me feel certain of that.
19. No it just says that the info about the day each concert takes place will be announced shortly. I also saw that they announced that Nolwenn Leroy's gig will be on June 15. So I guess they'll let us know about Mika's concert soon.
20. Thanks for letting us know Leila:thumb_yello: It's so good that so many new gigs are being announced! Btw this festival has such a cool name.
