1. It might be the same Charlotte... There's no further info on Tivoli's website, so I just went googling on Charlotte. It might as well be the Charlotte who was also the support act in Belgium (there has been a French singer as the support act before; Yelle).
2. The venue has announced the support act for Utrecht: Charlotte (I guess it's this female singer/songwriter from Hull, https://www.iamcharl0tte.com/)
3. What a beautiful lyrics: so delicate, poetic and full of love I probably have to listen to the song itself a few more times before it comes in completely; the structure is so layered and different from normal song structures, that I have to get used to it. For me the song is about loved ones. I can't place the female hand either. I interpret the text "My name is Michael Holbrook, I was born in 1983" in such a way that a loved one makes you realize that you are good as you are. Sometimes you doubt about the person you are and whether you are good enough; you struggle within yourself. At such a moment you might need someone who accepts you as the person who your are, and thus confirm, that you are allowed to be youselve... in this particular case: Michael Holbrook. I don't know if this makes sense to others, but that's how I interpret it now. Although I, like others, am curious about the original meaning behind this song, I also like this fase where everyone gives his/her own interpretation. Nothing is right or wrong, it's just how a song makes you feel.
4. Just saw on the Tivoli Vredenburg website, that the show is sold out!
5. Don't know if you refer to me, but yes I did! 😍
6. You can buy your tickets over here: https://www.tivolivredenburg.nl/agenda/mika-13-02-2020/ Ticketmaster wasn't working for me either.
7. What a 'luxury problem': really want to make holiday plans for this year, but anxious to miss out a show...
8. Just heard of the death of David, what a sad news. I know David as a warm and friendly person; he was one of the first persons that welcomed me in person at MFC. Wish his family and friends a lot of strength in these sad days.
9. Kumazzz thank you so much for all the pics and videos! *Big Hug* Loved the live stream; can't wait to see him live again!
10. You're right Deb: only made a picture of the poster (but received both the poster and cd). Hope you'll receive your items soon Zel!
11. I'm over the moon; received both items last Saturday! Thanks again!
12. So happy to read that I've won! The poster will get a nice place in my house, so I'm always reminded of this project (it makes me aware of how fortunate I am to grow up in a safe and 'warm' environment), the many people who supported it (MFC as a community) and the 'warmness' of Mika as person. We've done an amazing job, just proud to be a part of this lovely community!
13. Lovely idea, thanks for all the work you've put into this Deb (and others?)!
14. Never got such mixed feelings while reading the reports section... On the one hand I'm sincerely happy to read and see that you all had such a lovely evening in Amsterdam, on the other hand I'm really sad that I couldn't attend the gig because I got the flu. Hope that this feeling fades away after a period of time!
15. Lovely report Annemieke, couldn't have done it any better! That's what I was thinking too... the second time that they recorded 'Grace Kelly', the background singers where on stage immediately.
16. Not a Mika tweet, but one from Paul de Leeuw: pdl @pauldeleeuw1962 Maandagmorgen en zin in? Koffie! (Monday morning and feel like ? Coffee!) http://t.co/nku9yQiZVv">pic.twitter.com/nku9yQiZVv
— These are stills from the show 'Kun je het al zien?' from Paul de Leeuw (a Dutch television host). The recording of the show took place yesterday... you can watch the show over here: http://www.npo.nl/kun-je-het-al-zien/13-09-2015/VARA_101376446 Mika is on at: - 21:07 Staring at the sun and an interview - 51:00 Stardust (a duet with Paul de Leeuw) and the card game: the contestant that flipped the card with the highest value, was allowed to throw a tankard (?) of beer to the other contestant (at the end Mika took a water gun filled with mayonnaise and squirted it on Paul de Leeuw).
17. Hey Annemieke, I'm staying in the same hostel! Glad to know that there is someone else staying in the hostel: although it isn't that far from the HMH, it did not feel safe to walk alone.
18. Eriko you're amazing, thanks for finding all those pics and uploading the videos! *Big hug*
19. Sorry didn't record it... but you can find the videos of both songs (and the other performances) at http://www.een.be/mediatheek (first page, just scroll down a bit).
20. Thanks for posting those links Eriko! Saw some pictures with Mika in the front and myself as a tiny person in the background, really happy with those pics! There are some fans (most with a crown) on the picture I attached to this post... (you can spot me just above the performers (Gers Pardoel a Dutch singer) left foot). I'll try to upload some of the pics I made during the rehearsal and the tv-recordings. There isn't much else to post about, cause Mika sang only two songs ("Talk about you" in a duet with a Belgian singer and "Staring at the sun") and Léna already posted some info. The only nice thing to mention might be that during the rehearsals Mika was wondering how he would get into the front when the dancers were on stage: he made a 'zig zag' motion with his hands and his body language gave away that he thought that he had to squeeze himself through the dancers. After the producer explained that he had to walk to the end of the stage (catwalk) just before the dancers did, he tried that concept during the next rehearsal... the only problem was that he forgot the exact moment and had to run in panic to make it in time (it looked really funny to me).
21. Mika on Twitter: Belgium! I’ll be playing in Mol tomorrow for the PopUpLive music show @ een. See you there!
