  1. Do you get anything more? This what I have so far: It's not the cowboys that are missing anymore. That problem was already old in '94. Don't be offended this might seem a little wrong: Where have all the gay guys gone? To all the heroes... To that romance that... I was hoping that(?) one day I could be someone. Where have all the gay guys gone? Chorus: If we are all in the gutter It doesn't change who we are 'Cause someone of us in the gutter Are looking up at the stars. Tell me |: Where are all the good guys? Where are all the good guys? Where have all the good guys gone? :| Thank you Rufus, Autin(??? or Ortwin?) and James Dean, Thank you Emerson and Bowie for my dreams. ??? , ???, Kinsey and Rambo. Thank you for ???(?), ??? and Cocteau. Chorus Chorus It's not the cowboys that are missing anymore, That problem was already old in '94. Don't be offended, this might seem a little wrong: Where have all the gay guys gone?
  2. It was like 'Thank you Rufus, ..., ... and ... Thank you ..., .... and Bowie for my dreams. ...Rambo... ... Cocteau...' I didn't catch much more yesterday either
  3. Now this was amazing! It was completely different from a Mika-gig. It was a concert. Like in the original, classical way, I suppose. Mika was nervous in the beginning. But you weren't able to tell from his voice alone. He did an impressive job, his singing was flawless, he was perfect The orchestra was great and so was the audience. For me it was rather tough to stay seated and not sing along. We all gave our best in that part but you still saw many people tapping, clapping, lip-synching. It was as if everyone was at the edge to start jumping and misbehave in a symphonic-orchestra-audience kind of way He got standing ovation for Happy Ending in which he (and Ida!) honestly did a great job. That standing ovation clearly started in the back of the venue. Happy Ending was clearly one of the songs that win alot when they're performed with a orchestra - which was to be expected. Shortly after Elle me dit he got a second standing ovation. This time it started in the front. I guess, we just couldn't sit anymore and HAD to move I loved the new songs. In the beginning of 'Good Guys' when they asked where all the gay guys had gone you clearly could hear some chuckles in the audience. And he was happy about that like a little child. I guess we all didn't expect that kind of lyrics any that was exactly what he had intended. Well done, Mika! I also remember that during 'Ordinary Man' I was so focused on him and his singing that everything else blurred away. Even on a visual basis the area around him was blurry to me. That felt fantastic and irritating at the same time Oh and I loved that he was talking at least a bit, even thought I didn't understand because it was French only. Before the concert he was told not to talk but he stayed the Mika who he is and that's what I really like about him. I'm excited to witness tonight's show as well. It will be quite interesting to see if he changes because he's less nervous. And also I'm not sure I can handle the sitting all the time or if I reach the point of no return, get up and party. In case anyone else does I'm in
  4. So it's starting with: 'It's not the cowboys that are missing anymore. That problem was already old in '94 (or 1984?) Don't be offended This might seem a little wrong. Where have all the gay guys gone?' After that I'm not sure...
  5. I think we should update the lyrics here Apart from the fact that good guys are gay, did anyone understand more names than Rufus and James Dean? Aww, I'm in love!
  6. Finally back on MFC. I missed everything Bad me! But now I'm excited. I want to eat pizza with all of you and have a blast! I hope there's still a bit of space for me? I'd not even need a chair. I'll just squeeze into some corner and smile like an idiot.
  7. Thanks for keeping us updated! Do we know yet how the pre-sale will happen? Will there be a link in this thread or somewhere else or is all this unsure as well? Sorry for being that impatient!
  8. I guess we still don't know when the pre-sale will start exactly, right? Will it be posted here? I'm just worried since I've got to work in the evening. Damn timezones! Calm down, girl, it's the MFC. You can rely on them!
  9. Hints? Nothing easier than that. Though, they are quite general: Bring some glucose - easy to keep in a pocket, can save you from fainting or whatever and even helps if you're about to starve. Find out if it's allowed to bring water and if so do it. You will need to drink. If not bring the cap of a normal plastic bottle - it's small and fits in pockets and at some festival grounds they sell bottles without caps to avoid stupids throwing those on stage. Bring some hat to save you from the sun and a raincoat (it happens to rain even in Italy, right?) and don't forget to use sunblocker. If you want to bring a camera (many decide to leave it home to focus on the gig instead of taking pictures) bring a small one. It's handy and some securities forbid big system cameras. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get dirty or wet. High heels might seem good for short people so that they can improve their sight but if you're not really used to them your feed will be dead after the gig. Depending on where your spot is and if you care about it or not it can be helpful to plan ahead when to leave the spot for the last time (read: go to toilet). But if worse comes to worse go to toilet and lose your spot rather than avoid drinking and faint. Be brave and talk to people. MFCers and Mikafans in general are nice people and there are great friendships that were started by people ignoring their normal fear of contacting strangers and approaching them anyway. Most importantly: Have fun!
  10. So would it be okay for somebody who has access to that interview to share it here?
  11. Aww, you're all more than welcome! When I saw the pics with Violetta on the little screen of my camera I thought it looked like a couple going to prom or something very cute! Lol, I expected someone on MFC to like the lip-biting pic at last. And the first one you quoted makes me sad, they look so scared. Poor Gaia!
  12. In case anyone still wants to see a few pictures I took in the studio last week, here's what I uploaded: http://s745.photobucket.com/user/Statue_of_Liberty/library/Mika%20XFactor%20Milan%2028th%20November%202013
  13. Hello Miri! Welcome to our cute little island of weirdos! I'm always excited to see new members from Germany! Maybe one day we will meet in person? That's be so cool! There's just one question left: How did YOU find out about Mika? I mean it's not as if he got played on German radios much or advertised like at all. And what I always wanted to know and of which I have no idea about when I think of you: How do you live? Have you got pets? Do you like London?
  14. The stage manager I didn't notice the picture-taking either. When Karin asked me to help her organize people not mobbing him and asking him for autographs we tried but after a short time we gave up, it was just impossible because there were so many people and especially so many people we didn't know. Why would they do something a random fan told them to? It's just very sad that some people don't have enough respect to leave a person alone when that person clearly asks them to do so.
  15. I'm still somewhere on cloud nine and tired as hell. But I'm so happy about all the events of yesterday and especially of those taking place early today. Even though we panicked quite alot because the festival made a lot of last-minute changes and both the doors and the getting to the aftershow party were very chaotic it was a brilliant experience! Mika's reaction was more than we could have hoped for. He's giving us so much, it's hard to believe he's even real What I contributed to his birthday was just a tiny little bit so I've got to join all those thank-yous, especially to our beloved mods for having and realising this perfect idea. You guys rock! But also to MFC in general. It's amazing what a group of people is able to do if they only want it and all help fulfill it. I'm truly touched by that! I uploaded some pictures of the gig. As I was fighting candles after the show I couldn't bother entertaining my camera as well. Here they are: http://s745.photobucket.com/user/Statue_of_Liberty/library/Mika%20Avenches%2017th%20August%202013 And I filmed around midnight at the gig. Please forgive the shaking, there were balloons and confetti, a party hat, a happy birthday in a foreign language and a fabulous Mika to look at as well (link will work in a few minutes).
  16. I finally found time to upload my pictures: http://s745.photobucket.com/user/Statue_of_Liberty/library/Mika%20Sziget%20Festival%2010th%20August%202013
