1. Exactly. This law forbids the "propaganda of homosexuality" so you basically aren't allowed to talk about homosexuality. It's very tragic and a huge topic for gay rights activists. Since that law exists members of the army have tortured and killed at least two gay men in Russia. Though, officially that never happend. Of course. I wonder if Mika had the courage to sing Billy Brown in Russia these days. I wish, he had. But I could understand if it was more important for him to stay the free man he is than doing some necessary protests.
2. As I was at Sziget three years ago and this was one of the worst gig experiences I had made (mainly because of other bands' fans) I was very sceptical and hesitating to give it a second try. But now I'm so happy I did! Despite all his perfect singing and talented song-writing I'm getting the feeling he's growing into a real and great entertainer as well. Especially in comparison to many other acts we get to see at festivals who sing their more or less good songs and leave the stage, Mika's performance felt like he was throwing a party and we were all invited to join. I love this side of him! It's perfect for a festival! Next to me there was a girl who was a big Editors-fan (so funny how similar fandoms work these days ) and while I was willing to enjoy their performance I couldn't help but be bored after about two songs. Their music is okay and I liked how their fans' eyes started sparkling and everything but I felt bored. When Mika's show was done the girl next to me looked exhausted and said: "I liked it much more than I had expected!" Even though, it was mentioned already: The best part of the evening was clearly when Mika made Billy fall in love with Putin. I was very surprised by that and didn't know how on earth I could express how much I support his words / opinion and how proud I was in that moment of being his fan. It's so good to notice that he's the "right guy" to support every now and then. Not as an artist but as a human being. I'm so happy that he's good guy and not secretly dealing with drugs or weapons I hope you know what I mean... Anyway, here is my video of Live Your Life. Obviously I'm not used to filming but my weaknesses are compensated by Mika's awesomeness anyway: If anyone is still interested I could upload my pictures as well. Didn't have time until now as I was travelling yesterday and working today.
3. Really looking forward to seeing you again! This reunion must be happening!
4. I have nothing important to add to the discussion. I just wanted to thank MFC for existing - I've had a very amusing time reading this thread.
5. I won't do a proper report because it's kinda late and nobody would read it anyway But I want to use my beloved MFC to take down a few notes: - I loved the gig. It was very relaxed, Mika was in a better mood than in London (as far as I can tell) and made a lot of silly jokes which I loved. - The doors were brilliant. The security staff were very friendly, well-organised and helpful. When we were let in everybody stayed calm and after we had arrived in front row we wondered where the rest of the people were because we had SO much space. - I saw Felix smiling (sorry, couldn't resist...) - The choir members kicked it, you guys were very entertaining! - Everything that happened afterwards felt weird. I can't really explain why. Mika came out very quickly, seemed to rush things and didn't meet the choir. You know that already. But still I have a weird feeling about it. Even Thomas seemed to be surprised and I thought it would be a bit calmer and stuff. But I won't complain. My fault that I gave him another weird little gift instead of thanking him properly for this tour - A special thank you goes to Laura and Prince Charming for spontanousely giving me a roof over my head for the night I'd like to add that I'm overwhelmed by how quickly this tour is over (for me at least). It felt like ages until it started and was over in the blink of an eye. I loved every second of it, though (well, the freezing not so much - serious hopes for the next tour taking place in summer here!) and can't wait for the next fitting gigs to be announced. Oh, and when I went to Lovebox this June I wouldn't have imagined how much I would love 4 out of 5 new band members by now! They've done a great job becoming a proper band and not just random musicians being together on the same stage. I love the chemnistry that Mika seems to have with them but also the laughs and giggles they share with each other. It's so much fun to watch them! Plus I think they're very talented. Okay, I'll stop fangurling. A big thank you to all MFCers that made this tour so special, the waiting in the cold bearable and the idea of being insane because of what I do vanish for a little while as you do the same! I have no idea how I'll survive the time until I see some of you guys again - thank God for the internet. A certain Brazilian fangurl will be especially missed and I can just hope that we meet again very soon! Oh and my pictures of Manchester : http://s745.photobucket.com/albums/xx92/Statue_of_Liberty/Mika%20The%20Ritz%20Manchester%2014th%20December%202012/ He looks like a little boy in that one! Awww!
6. Not joining any discussion here, just quickly dropping links to pics for those who are interested: http://s745.photobucket.com/albums/xx92/Statue_of_Liberty/Mika%20Roundhouse%20London%2013th%20December%202012/
7. It took a while but yes, I did! It's here:

Have fun ;)
8. So I finally managed to upload the action men video
9. *remembers that he rehearsed Tah-Dah in London and tries hard not to fangurl* It's probably something boring about bad weather. Snowstorms, freezing cold, rain, thunder,...?
10. Will post a proper report and upload pictures after Graham Norton has finally interviewed Mika but am uploading the video with Mika and the action men as I type. The connection here isn't too good so every percent takes 2 minutes each and it will take ages but 7% are done already!
11. Apparently they do Didn't know that earlier but I received an email with the subject "Sorry" so at least I knew what to expect when I opened it
12. Check your emails guys! It must be a great choir as I've got my "no" already
13. Here are my pictures: http://s745.photobucket.com/albums/xx92/Statue_of_Liberty/Mika%20La%20Riviera%20Madrid%2023rd%20November%202012/ Love the comparison. Max' weapon is his voice
14. Hallo! Ach, schade. Wusste ja nicht, dass noch jemand Deutsches da ist. Na dann beim naechsten Mal! :D

15. Okay! Well, we explained him that it's mainly but not exclusively about Mika alone. It's about everything. The gig, the m&gs, the team, the band and about the MFCers we meet and about adventurous travelling. Fran and I said that we wouldn't have met without knowing Mika and that we are friends now and she'll be staying with me for a few days. As for the queueing we explained why it's so good to be front row: That it's the best spot for getting a connection to Mika and the band, that you can't jump on anyone in front of you and that you have a relatively safe spot for your stuff as well as a barrier to lean against. And he asked us how we can pay for so many gigs so we explained that we worked for this tour and basically quitted our jobs for it I think he liked the "We wouldn't have met without him"-bit best.
16. Lol. It was a question about a ticket problem one of us had for London. Nothing generally interesting, really
17. Madrid is calling, we've got some sightseeing to do But until then here are some thoughts about last night: Mika was very ill. I felt so sorry for him at some points. He had to cough and couldn't sing a few times. The audience reacted perfectly, cheered for him and sang even louder when he had to stop. Somebody threw a scarf on stage which Mika appreciated. He said he felt cold even though it was very warm inside I have a lot of respect for him for not cancelling the gig! I wouldn't have blamed him because his health comes first and I can only imagine that it must be torture to have to sing when your throat is aching, you have a cough and maybe even fever. He also touched his throat a lot and at some point you could tell that he must have been in pain. Nevertheless, he did a great show and smiled a lot. He skipped some songs. Didn't do Toy Boy, Happy Ending or Step with me (which was on the setlist and I would have wished he did it because I love it a lot but yeah, he's ill, right?). We didn't expect it but he even came out for a short and not very well organized m&g. He didn't speak of course but signed a lot of stuff. Gotta love him for that attitude! A true highlight for me was the contact Fran and I had with Team M afterwards when we were the only ones waiting for the band who took ages to come out. The people we were talking to were so lovely! We also talked to Thomas who looked a bit grumpy when Mika was still there and even afterwards. But when he came out of the venue a second time just seeing us two again he couldn't help but smiled A LITTLE. So I went to him and asked him a question I had to ask. And when I was about to leave he continued talking He wanted to know why on earth we do so many gigs and how we manage to do all that. And he said that he's seen quite some hardcore fans but Mikafans are HARDCORE. Like, really. So we explained him the basic stuff about our little world. Now he must think we're nuts but he was really lovely. Oh and thank you to all the Spanish girls who made the waiting a nice but cold day of meeting new and interesting people! Especially thanks to Basicamenteyo, you sister in mind! It was a plessure meeting all you girls! ¡Viva España! Pictures are to come but sightseeing comes first
18. *bump* ¡Hola Madrid! I'm here. I went to check out the venue. Does anybody know if it looks nicer and less ugly from the inside?
19. And here are my two cents: Cent #1: Maybe some random people might NOT like the video, find it ridiculous, overdone and bad. But that hasn't to be a bad thing. Isn't one task of music videos to be like an advert? Good adverts can be of very low quality, the best ones just stay in your head. Could be because they're brilliant and you love them but it could be because they're that bad. When you wake up the next morning and think "God, this advert yesterday was so horrible!" the responsibles can open a bottle of champaign because that was there goal. I'm not saying that this video is horrible but if some random people think it is and thereby remember Underwater (or Mika ) I don't complain. Cent #2: I lovelovelove MFC for all the interpretations. It's like always: Mika gives us 3 minutes something of material and we can discuss it to pieces and for hours or days. I haven't read the whole thread but I loved the few new ideas I've seen. Because when *I* watched the video all I could think was "erm... what?!" (couldn't even unerstand anything of a story because there was so much going on) and then I came here, read your thoughts and now I want to watch the video again. To spot the little mistakes and basically to focus on the story. I want to see the romantic approach there. And I will! Pity, it's blocked in Germany already again.
