  1. Awwww how lovely is that Now I can start my week happy.
  2. No it's no drama to notice it and maybe wonder it. I did notice he didn't tweet about it and was also wondering where he might be that moment and hoped everything is well for him. I mean well generally in life and well remembering there was a terrorist attack close to his home. But you know, he is not systematic with his tweets (which I have always liked because it gives an impression he is also tweeting himself even there's occasional promotion) and we just need to wait and hope all is fine, maybe he will tweet later something about the girls or the studio. Still, a lot of people accused him about it and there was no question, they were totally implying he was uncaring. How could he not care if people die near his home?? And generally, he does wrong not tweeting and wrong tweeting (because he tweets there and not here) and wrong if doesn't tweet on anniversary but especially if he tweets on someone else's anniversary. "No excuses". Lol. Sometimes I just wonder how he can breath (people demanding something all the time in every direction).
  3. I can't understand why this tweeting thing is such an issue. London is his home and I'm sure he is as upset as anyone about what happened there. He has never been really systematic with his tweets and if he is in the studio it should be good news for all of us?
  4. He can be simply focused on his work, the Peugeot tweet is kind of business related anyway. What happened in London must be upsetting, it's his home town after all. Sigh. So many scary things these days.
  5. This is a lovely song, I'm so, so looking forward to this episode
  6. The yellow one is my favorite, I've had an obsession with yellow a few weeks already. I'm surprised to say this but even it's just a commercial the thought of Mika driving colorful cars actually cheered me up today Winter is such a depressing time of the year.
  7. Thank you, Eriko! This was the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning. It's a cool ad, very clear and energetic and still a bit retro. A special Peugeot gig would make it look even cooler but I doubt there's anything for us. Lol, a bit cruel to make fans all excited in advance about a commercial but I hope it was a part of the deal and they paid him some extra for it.
  8. He was advertising an advertisement? I hope we can see it online.
  9. I think the whole fandom loves it... It's such a beautiful pic, I'm happy he wanted to share it
  10. Interesting that you compare these two because I get totally different vibes from these performances. The one he did for Rai is actually one of my favorite covers. I guess it's always a very subjective experience.
  11. I know what you mean, Mika makes sad songs easier to handle, his voice is so comforting.
  12. Fingers crossed for new music this year! His plans for the new album are not clear to me, maybe he has said something about the timing in Italian interviews and I've missed it... At least there's another season for Casa Mika coming and writing something new for the show sounds good to me. Anyway, my original point was that going where his voice seems to naturally go wouldn't be bad at all, it is his strength. Curious to see what he wants to do.
  13. It's the same for me. TOOL was my favorite and now I feel the same about NPIH. This is enough for me. If he can do an album that becomes my favorite (of his all albums) everything is well. Gigs are the most important for me and I understand his classics are included on the regular set list, the majority of the audience wants to hear them. It's similar for every artist. At home I listen to music only randomly. I never listen to music on the background, just thinking of it gives me a headache. When I listen to music at home I carefully choose the song. At the moment I listen to his covers, my favorite of new covers is still the one he did for Italian television show. A beautiful one! And of course I listen to Last Party and No Place In Heaven regularly.
  14. I love his falsetto a lot, even when it sometimes sounds almost a bit painful. it's always beautiful and very unique. It must be something people generally either love or not and I assume we all love it (otherwise we wouldn't be here). But his effortless natural voice is the best part of his singing. It's the reason I fell in love with his singing in the first place and it's something that surprises me every time I hear it, my reaction is always like "omg he is even better than I could remember!" No matter how many times I've heard his singing. There is a local artist I often go to see in Helsinki. I really like him but of course not the same way I like Mika. Still, he is a very good song-writer and extremely professional as a musician, plays several instruments and almost always does his solo gigs without any setlist. Anyway, there's a lady I see there almost every time. She just stares this artist and as soon as he starts singing she is full of love. I can literally see hearts in her eyes. And she reminds me of something and I often try to figure out what it is but I can't catch it. You know when you have "something" familiar in your mind but just can't remember what it is? Last time I saw her I suddenly realized she reminds me of how I feel when Mika walks on stage and starts singing. Omg I am that woman?! Lol! My point is that in the end he can choose any songs he likes. I'm obviously not very demanding that way
  15. That's true about NPIH and actually my biggest favorites atm come from that album (but for other reasons as well). He still doesn't choose that singing style as often as he could. Maybe he really doesn't realize how much people love it. Lol, how could he not? His soft singing is like directly from heaven
  16. I don't have that feeling at all, I have really enjoyed everything he has done lately. But I do hope he is using this little break thinking of his music and creating something. It would make me so happy! He doesn't seem to have enough time for that in his hectic life. This is not related to San Remo but I always wonder something, maybe someone can explain it to me. He doesn't seem to want to take his voice to its natural direction (with natural I mean natural with time and age). He could do it softer and I absolutely adore it when he sings like that But it's like he doesn't want to, he seems sometimes very stubborn with it. I don't understand why. His singing can sound so effortless. Why not to go that way. He writes his own songs. He has an amazingly beautiful voice, it's something special voice gods gave just for him, there's no one else like him. His voice can bring people to heaven Maybe there is an explanation for all this and I just can't see it. I would be curious to learn it. I really know nothing about singing. About San Remo. What happened with the door? Was it really locked? How could it be locked just for him? I didn't understand at all. Such a bad luck in his situation! Watching this massive publicity around San Remo made me think how deep he is in there already. It's a world of its own and totally separated from everything else. This is just a thought that now randomly came to my mind. I love Italy and I have never had any problems in focusing on France or Italy or any country.
  17. Must say he looked really good at the press conference! Stars in his jacket and eyes
  18. I guess he was just very nervous, not his usual self at all. He didn't seem comfortable to sing the cover but maybe they had asked him to do this particular song and with the orchestra and arrangement it wasn't possible to change it. I thought he did well considering how nervous he was, it was a touching performance. But yes I felt really nervous for him, during the medley as well.
  19. Somehow I can't handle this song, it's too sad. I wanted to listen to his performance again, this time carefully (I was nervous for him when he did it at San Remo) but it's really too sad. It's difficult for me to get over sad things, sometimes when I see a sad film or read a sad book it stays in my thoughts even weeks and just reading the lyrics of this song is almost too much. I went through a lot of San Remo interviews, articles and tweets (a huge, huge thank to Eriko for making everything so easily available!!! ) and I can't believe how massive publicity there has been around this one performance! People paid a lot of attention to his speech and words
  20. I remember someone in the audience once asked his sweaty towel in the middle of the gig and I think he gave it Once after a show before going backstage he walked to me and put his head directly above me and shook all the sweat from his hair over me and then just walked away and for moment I was just staring there speechless like "did you really do that??" but then thought "oh well, luckily you are one those rare men who can do that and I don't even mind" I'm sure his sweat is just like water. Not that I want his handkerchiefs. At the Voice he tried to hide his used handkerchiefs in Matt's chair and I thought someone should point them and tell him to take them away or they tell his mother My five yo nephew does things like that
  21. I was so nervous for him I'm still shaking! I had no idea the festival is that formal and the atmosphere that tense. And I guess it was quite hot as well, the poor man should have had a towel with him on stage, lol! I felt I can't breath.... Oh dear! But it went well, I think. Not the best possible song for that atmosphere but it went well. And he is definitely the most elegant person there
