    I had booked this because it's the Easter weekend and later it would be impossible to find suitable direct flights for those exact dates I wanted. But I knew they might not confirm this at all, of course I did. This wasn't the first or the last time I book something just hoping something to happen. Even confirmed gigs can sometimes be cancelled and with usual dates (not a holiday season) I always book as last minutes as possible because he sometimes also adds dates last minute

    Is this official? So disappointed if it is. This was the only gig to look forward to this spring and I had already booked my trip after they started to advertise it with his name (but knew of course there's a possibility it will not happen). Sigh.

    Thanks Sosi and Rose for explaining the concept! This kind of television culture is totally unfamiliar to me, we might have shows like this in Finland as well but I don't watch enough television to be aware of it. I don't care about any separate comment or tweet, these are random people, I was only surprised to see the phenomenon and so many reactions in general. Hope this performance woke up some old UK fans and they will find Mika again if haven't heard his music lately.

    Yes this was exactly what I meant earlier. Many people prefer original versions if the original and whatever cover is put next to each other, especially if they are fans or if it's something people have learnt to listen years and years, it's just fine. But that weird aggressiveness, so unnecessary. Despite of those comments, it was nice he got some visibility in the UK and I so hope there will be more of The Art Of Song. I enjoy those beautiful covers and and so rare to get a full read show of him speaking English! Brilliant, thanks Lucrezia!

    Ah, okay, thanks for the info! I guess that's why he did a cover and not one of his own songs. I saw the performance via Eriko's link. It was a lovely performance! So sad to see some mean tweets, I can't understand where that aggressiveness comes from.

    He has actually quite a lot of experience of live shows already after several seasons of The Voice and XF. And he made it look really easy during Casa Mika recordings, he was so well prepared and had learnt everything, the whole script (especially in the beginning, I think they were in a very hurry in the end). I couldn't understand how he did it, I was astonished watching it. I'm sure he could do this also live if he wanted, like you said, making it simpler and shorter.

    I haven't had time to listen to these radio shows, not even for music. I will do it later, thanks Eriko for collecting and listing everything! They really left mistakes there? It's unbelievable that they didn't correct them. They could have easily done it, gives a poor impression to give wrong information.

    What's the problem with that? What's the exact element they want from live recordings? Spontaneity? More real reactions from the audience?

    Yes we will see what happens. But it didn't look like just another dream come true and that's it even that's wonderful as well and even it's been a successful project. It looked like there's a bigger plan. I don't know what it is. Bringing the concept out of television or selling the television concept outside Italy or something. Maybe first another season in Italy. They must have plans. But I hope he will finish his album now (if he has started one). He needs more music to make more Casa Mika

    I'm curious who owns the rights to the concept of Casa Mika. Is it something that belongs to Rai or is the idea of Casa Mika something Mika could take and bring with him for his live shows and tours if he likes? Could he go out there and meet people around the world and film it and do everything in English and sell it to somewhere else? I don't know how these things usually work

    You have the right to feel whatever you like, don't make it look like I said otherwise. Lol! I only wrote facts and mentioned gigs he has done in your area lately. There are several of them and they all were different and quite special, I was there. I would love him to do symphony in Barcelona And maybe it will happen some day. Symphony concerts are so different compared to other concerts and need so much time to prepare and happen. He has just finished his own television show in Italy (it was a success and it's a huge thing to do no matter in which country it happens), he is preparing two big symphony concerts and writing a new album so for me it's difficult to understand why anyone would be worried about his career but we are all different and everyone is allowed to share their worries, of course. It's nice to see people chatting here, it's been very quiet lately.

    He did Barcelona and Madrid 2015 and Barcelona and Lisbon (quite near Spain) 2016. So it's not like has abandon you or anything like that

    I assume they want him to do another season. This has been good quality publicity to Rai (referring to their image) even if the audience dropped a bit after the first episode, hasn't it? I've thought a lot about the show and the structure and wondered what they might want to change to make it evolve. I hope they will continue focusing on music because it shows him as a true artist and musician and he wants to be seen like that, right? He has done some amazing performances during this season Very special versions of his own songs, I keep listening to them over and over again. Very high quality. I would keep his music performances and show different aspects of him as an artist (piano versions, symphony, energetic, show man...) like he has done so far. Good quality music guests and duets with them are also important (I loved the song with Eros Ramazzotti on Tuesday) but 1 or 2 per episode would be enough because too many can be overwhelming (but to be honest not sure if my attitude is different from Italian, lol!). I would definitely keep meaningful collaborations like children's choirs or orchestras etc in every episode, those have been my favorites. I would cut the comedy and cabaret side a little bit because it's quite big at the moment, just make those parts shorter and add serious side with suitable interesting guests like authors simply because he can do it and it's an advantage to him. He can easily handle guests like that and not everyone could. Clips are a good solution to add the structure and for example the taxi parts are genuinely funny and fit there really well. They should show the house even more I think and use different rooms more, the elements are so impressive... Am I the only one who thinks this show is really long? I mean I can easily watch him hours but I've never seen a television show this long. It can be a bit much for people who are not fans. And I almost forget, I need to add that I have loved it how his guests and visitors have been from different age groups (children's choir, older dancers), it's very Mika style not to focus on only one age group and it makes the show more interesting (even I can see the production doesn't agree with that, they want to show certain young age groups and hide the middle age audience and pretend it doesn't exist but I guess that's how it's usually done because young people look better on television).

    Have you heard the song already? Where can we listen to it? I wanted to buy it from iTunes but it wasn't possible without buying the whole album.

    No, Moomin pappa was there to keep me company! Mika was very kind I must say... I'm happy I decided to go to Bergamo, it was a very unique recording.
