    Well, considering the height of the sidewalk i was standing on, and considering the fact that i'm already 1m73 myself and had to look upwards, i don't think he's that far from 2m... Definitely well above 1m90, anyway...:rolls_eyes:

    First time I met him was after the Cirque d'Hiver in Paris, during the Songs for Sorrow Tour. There were a few people waiting outside the venue after the gig and the very first thing i thought when i saw him was «well, he always says he's a bit too tall, but he's not THAT tall !!» Then i realised we were all standing on the sidewalk... and not him !! It was a «no-talking» day, so he basically just went from one person to the other, signing stuff, smiling and communicating with gestures from time to time. When he arrived in front of me, the only thing i said was «thank you !». Not because i was paralysed ( i agree with riverstwilight, he has a very special way to look at you, which is both intense and comfortable. I didn't even blush !) but because the simple words «thank you» pretty much summed up what i felt at that moment... It was short, but it's a very nice memory !!

    Yeah, but we definitely lack those beautiful "concept-words" like manbag, manscara or guyliner... i wish we had words for that... My father could definitely use the concept of manbag, since he refuses to carry a handbag !! He got his camera stolen on the plane recently, because he left it in his suitcase as his pockets were already full !! A nice manbag would have saved him !!!

    i got a chance to borrow it for a few minutes and read through the article. Very interesting and a bit strange. it's meant to be an e-mail exhange between Mika and Christian Louboutin, randomly talking about everything and nothing. There's no intro to the article, not even their names, so if you don't know them and recognise them on the pictures, you have no clue what the "article" is about i like this approach !!! So, i think there's more than a spoonful of b*ll**** in their conversation, but it's really fun !! I quickly wrote down the bit about the dog, since i knew this was THE trending topic of the moment over here... Here you are : Christian Louboutin : "... where are you ?" (Christian ends almost all his mails by "where are you") Mika : "Belfast, first night of my new tour and it was a disaster. I've been sick so tonight was effectively my first rehearsal. By the way, i just got a dog. He's called Christian. Except he's blond. Christian : "**** you!!" (By the way, Christian didn't use the "*" ) :biggrin2: So... dog ? I don't think so, again !

    I'm not quite sure to like the reggae touch... actually, when the bridge started " some people wait..." and it became more like a ballad again, i was like " yeah, that's how it's meant to be... Still, it's very catchy, it stays in your head; I think it could be a hit...

    That's funny !! Since the new album came out, i noticed something similar !! More and more of my friends are sort of "closeted Mika fans" I mean : most of them laugh at me when i say i love his music. Then, when i say " i'm going to see him in concert, who wants to come ?", quite a few of them actually come, and enjoy themselves big time... but when these same people talk about Mika "in public", later on, they're like " oh i went because Sarah wanted to go and i didn't want to let her go all by herself !!" Same thing for the new album. They all pretend not to know it and not to care, but when i play the songs, they sing along and know the lyrics !! i'm almost certain that all these people secretely (and illegally ) downloaded songs and will never openly admit it !! That's sad, because it completely messes with the sales figures and gives the impression that TBWKTM isn't a big hit, which i think is totally untrue...

    J'ai posé la question à une billeterie "physique" de la Fnac hier. Ils m'ont répondu que leur stock à eux était bel et bien épuisé mais que d'autres réseaux ( ticketnet par exemple ) gardaient parfois quelques places en réserve et les remettaient en vente après la première vague de "Sold Out" pour se faire de la pub. Genre " quand c'est complet ailleurs, vous en trouvez encore chez nous..." Mais bon, c'est un vendeur de la Fnac qui disait ça Ceci dit, même s'il reste des places, ça doit être une poignée.

    i found it on the french wikipedia page : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disque_d%27or They make the distinction between local artists singing in french or dutch ( excuse me if the term is incorrect, in french we say "wallons et flamands" ) These artists go platinum with 30 000 copies sold And international artists or local artists singing in a foreign language go platinum with 40 000. I don't exactly know why but that's what they say... Now, it's the french Wiki page, take it for what it's worth
