Really?? Weirder things happened in this world, maybe we are relatives!! The girl's next to me grandpa was born in the same village as my grandma. No more than 70 pple living in that village... how many possibilities do we have of meeting in a Mika gig?? Im sad each time there are gigs around cause Im not able to take a plane so I know Ill only meet pple who come to my country. Thats embarrassing but true poor little girl is scared of planes... LOL

I absolutely agree with you here. I usually have NOTHING to tell him apart from "your gig was amazing" Its not that we share hobbies or anything so basically we have nothing to say to each other in real life. I thank God that when I got my m&g I really wanted to ask him about overrated, so I had an excuse to talk to him. The fact that he STARES at you when you talk to him doesnt help to be relaxed, so having a normal conversation is really hard

Yes, in my first two gigs I needed to leave the venue alone cause all my friends wanted to stay And the times Ive seen him in no proper m&g I didnt even get close. I just stepped back. Its like when last Friday he sat right in front of me to sing stardust. I thought "F*ck I need to take pics right now!!" and right when I was about to take my phone to take pics he looked at me. How on Earth am I going to put my mobile in his face in that situation?? So basically I only took crappy pics (cause all the pics I took were taken when he wasnt right in front of me and were taken with a mobile). Ive been only to 8 gigs. How many more gigs do I need to come full circle too? Im exausted

I think it´s really difficult to have a real connection with him on the net. Basically cause I don´t think he really knows who he is talking to when he replies. Of course there are a group of people he knows since forever and of course he know who they are. He only replied to me twice and I never expected he would. It´s just a matter of casuality. I´ve been through different phases in real life. First I never wanted to meet him in RL, that´s why never waited for him in my two first gigs. Managed to talk to him in my third, saw him a couple of times more, and were lucky and had a real M&G with him in my 7th gig. But last Friday I didn´t feel like waiting for him, and I don´t know why, but I felt as if being front row and enjoying the gig was enough for me. Maybe next gig I will camp outside the venue till he comes out but right now I´m done with it.

Let´s see. The girl with the red bag is Dreamy Queen, the girl next to her is Tina (not sure if she is an MFCer), next to me is yolanda (same name here), the girl with green scarf is QueenElisa, the girl above her is ArtemisArco (the girl who gave Mika the bracelet he wore in the El Hormiguero two years ago), you know Asun, next to her is my sister (I totally forgot her nickname here ) and next to her MarianMay.

*sighs* I don´t know where to start when it comes to make a report. Instead of a report I´ll give some bits that I remember. Best thing apart from seeing Mika is meeting friends again. I´m so pleased I finally met Saskia, Fran and DreamyQueen. Now it´s funny when you see their names on twitter you have a real "image" of them Gig was amazing. We were worried before the gig cause Liliana and Mary had told me via whatsapp what happened the day before in Lisbon and we really fear he could cancel. Glad he didn´t. For me this gig was different. It seemed longer... don´t ask me why. I don´t have a clock so I didn´t know at what time we entered the venue or what time we left, but after a bit, I told my sister "this gig is endless, god, I feel he´s been singing for more than 5 hours now :shocked:" Not that I´m complaining, but that was my perception during the gig. Mika knew his voice wasn´t at his best and tried to please the crowd by being... himself. He danced and made the band interact a lot. He asked Max to help him a lot of times. If you go watch vids on youtube, you can see when he goes next to Max, he positioned the mic towards Max so it was his voice what we heard. One of the times he started coughing he walked towards Max again saying "I can´t go on" with his head and poor Max just shrugged... He said he had the most amazing fans ever cause without our energy he couldn´t have done the gig. In fact he stayed on stage more time than he usually does (Im talking only about my 8 experiences) thanking people. He asked if we could speak french. Mika: Can you speak french?? If I say Elle Me Dit Danse.... what would you reply? Crowd: ELLE ME DIT DANSE DANSE DANSE!!!!!! Mika: oh wow... you all can speak french your french is better than my Spanish!!! About the Choir: Mika: look at them they´re all so innocent.... how do you say "pure"? Crowd: PUROS Mika: ... bah, doesn´t matter, they aren´t anyways.... LOL He explained his voice was at 70%. He stopped singing twice, one in UW and then again in EMD. I felt sorry for him. After the gig me and my friends decided to not wait for him. He was feeling bad and we were tired, so, time to leave! It was a nice experience. I had never been in such a small venue before, and I´m happy. This has probably been one of the best gig I´ve been to despite of his lack of voice. Lots of eye contact with front row as always. Oh, I don´t know what the reasons to choose this or that song from the setlist are, but I don´t understand why, if he has troubles with his voice, he keeps on singing songs like GK, Rain or even Stardust when he had Toy Boy, Step With Me in the setlist and he had sung Heroes also in other gigs... I thank him his effort, of course, I know these are songs that people love, but... I would have changed some of the most difficult songs for SWM at least. I´m not complaining, I´m happy he did those songs. I´ve been trying to uploads a group pic we took before the gig, but my imageshack doesn´t work anymore don´t know how to do it

Exactly, that was why I was shocked. It means that he has more exposure than we think (no ) or that he has rich dedicated fans (more probably )

Wow I so like this interpretation.... Sadly if we (hard-core fans) needed to watched it several times, the people out there won´t get it in their entire lives But if it was Mika´s intention, then it explains a lot.

Damn At this point of my life I was supposed to be sophisticated enough as to understand a vid. Clearly I´m not Yeah, I still skip this song when it pops up, I FFW it. But today I listened to it (before knowing the vid was already out) cause I´ve realised that my gig is in two days and I don´t know the lyrics

But it´s usually happening always. Some love this song, some love that song... He has more than 300.000 followers on twitter, so it´s almost impossible that no one likes the video. But this vid is not made to be liked by 25% of the people watching it... It´s make to promote a single. And when people here, like me (and many more, but I don´t want to talk for others), who has spent a lot of money going to his gigs, buying his albums, merchandising and stuff are saying that something´s looks at least odd in this vid, maybe it´s cause something is not as great as expected. I do care about the public reaction, cause this vid is not something that Mika did just to treat his fanbase (in that case I´d be very pleased by the close shots), but to reach all people out there who still didn´t buy his album. I can´t wait for the media reactions to this vid.

As it´s been said here before, I needed 69 pages to start liking the song. Now this vid ruined it all Nah, to be honest, after the initial shock (I needed cpr, trust me) now I think it´s not that bad. If I think of all those people in their houses watching random vids just because and then suddenly Mika appears in their screens, looking like a giant in a tiny boat, struggling with the mast for no apparent reason, maybe they just stay there, watching at it cause it´s different. Then end of the video is quite cool, with those mermaids and Mika breathing underwater and stuff... Who knows. But what can´t be allowed at all, is the fact that it´s not well synchronized. It sucks. And makes Mika look like the less professional musician ever. And that´s the worst, cause we know how professional he is...

I´m still not a big fan of this song. It´s a good one, yes, but not the best of the album, and in my opinion, not a single at all. While he is struggling, he overacts TOO MUCH. The boat is barely moving and he seems he is almost dying A simple vid like Celebrate would have done the trick better.

Oh thanks!! About the meaning... I think it´s clear that the lighting ball is Mika´s lover and then, when he needs him the most (to breathe), he is taken from him by a hot guy who likes to show his naked torso too much (in other words, his lover cheated on him and the poor Mika died ). I agree with Kaito, I don´t think that random people would understand it at all

This is what in Spanish we call "un cúmulo de despropósitos" but I´m not sure how to translate it... literally it´s "a pile of nonsense" but we don´t mean "nonsense" but something that even though its purpose is doing something good, it´s actually making things worse. BTW, I realised too about the "my" "your" mistake, but I can´t see anything wrong when he says "bursting". Can you please explain it?

Don´t forget the F&M is also in his jacket. It´s ok to have promotors to pay the vid,but Anyway, I totally agree with you. It looks cheap in a bad way. Cause GK was even cheaper and didn´t look like this... not sure if you understand what I mean... Never realised about the lyrics.. but I´ve only watched it once, maybe I´ll give it a second try someday LOL Mika looks amazing, that´s true. But he is handsome, there´s no other way to look like for him

I think that only someone with the painting skills that you have could realise of those details. The vid is made for the people in general, and for what I see... people is not loving it that much. Also it has nothing to do with the rest of vids Mika did before, so I´m not thinking that this is what Mika exclusively demanded, cause it´s not "Mika-ish" at all. With this vid I have the same feeling as with the video that the south american guy, Cristian... sorry I forgot the surname, did. I didn´t like it AT ALL. It didn´t remind me of Mika, of the idea of Mika I had. And it happens the same with this one. I can see similarities among HE, BIOTG and WAG vids. But this one, has nothing to do with those. After Celebrate (that looked a bit like Rain but in a more professinal way IMO) I thought he was finally going to make some...interesting videoclips. Maybe he loves it, and perhaps, if he explains the meaning of the vid, I could interpret it differently. But now, I´ve just watched it once, and the feelings are: - fake boat in a fake sea and Mika exaggerating his role A LOT. - nice shoots underwater. That´s all.

I really wish everyone thought like you... Cause Mika needs a good vid out there now more than ever.
