Why the ?

I´ve been reading many posts about this subject. Have anyone checked if the people calling themselves "freaks" are non English speakers?? See, here in Spain being a freak doesn´t mean you are ugly or anything like that. It´s more attached to being fanatic of something (like being an absolute fan of Star Trek and calling your dog Chewbacca or things like that) or being just different. Here teenagers call themselves freaks cause they want to feel themselves different (which makes no sense any more cause now EVERY TEEN is a freak, so they are all the same which is not exclusive any more.... do I make sense??). So maybe that "freak" or Mika freak expression comes from non English speakers. You English speakers say "freak" and you know what it means, but here we adopt the word and we don´t really know the etymology or connotations for the word, so we give it a new meaning according to what we need at the moment... I´m pretty sure we Spaniard started using the word freak to refer to those Star Trek fans. That was the time, at least, that I remember I heard the word for the first time. Like... centuries ago...

I used to think that way too. But now I´ve changed my mind. Clearly he goes to perform where he charts (aka France). Yes, you might say that he is also doing a tour in US, but I think it´s a kind of promotion to go along with the Popular video. If you take into account how big is France and how many gigs he is doing there, you´ll realise that it matters if he charts or he doesn´t. I don´t really care if he becomes global, the New MJ or the new Freddie. But I´d love him to chart in my country cause it seems it´s the only way to bring him back. My first gig in Madrid was three years ago, and it was in the Palacio de los Deportes. It was sold out in few weeks. My last gig, just few months ago, was also in Madrid in a very tiny venue and it wasn´t sold out. It might mean that he won´t try to perform here again... Sadly, charts matter.

Somehow I find it quite impossible to believe that Tim Burton is the director of that video clip... If it is, I´ll be really happy for Mika, of course, but... I don´t know... I don´t find it plausible... And when I said it wasn´t important it was cause many people thought it could be someone we know...

LOL Haven´t you noticed that Mika somehow doesn´t like Priscilla?? He moaned that she arrived late to the studio, then she fell asleep, then she disliked all the songs Mika showed.... And each time he mentioned all the people he worked with in the album, he only got stuck to Nick (from his speech I now feel as if they were bff) Pharell and Ben. But hardly mentioned Priscilla.

I have to disagree... I think this is his best album so far, and yes, obviously he is richer now than he was in 2006 and he has managed to get more and better producers so it maybe sounds a bit more commercial. But anyway, you just need to read the lyrics to realize it´s still him. LYWID it´s (IMO) a song that would have fitted perfectly in LICM. Overrated it´s taken from an old demo... I didn ´t see anything like this in TBWKTM, and of course, songs like Stardust or Tah Dah... are simply perfect. My opinion anyway
