Yes @Míriam Ballester and we also use the adverb of negation "pas" which I think it comes from french language.For example to say " he won't come" we say " ell no vindrà pas"
To emphasize a ban, with a threatening tone (No li ho diguessis pas!), or to partially deny an affirmation (you know that every morning I am going to work. -Not when it rains!) Translation: Ja saps que cada matí vaig caminant a la feina. No pas quan plou!).

To know languages is exciting or at least to learn to the point of being able to communicate with others. In Spain there're 4 languages, catalan, spanish, galician and basque. Sadly it seems the Spanish government just wanted us to speak Spanish and they do everything possible so that we dont use the catalan language but that's political issue so I do not want to talk about it. I'm catalan, yes and my mother tongue is catalan but I also use spanish, I have nothing against that language and I love english. I understand italian good enough and some french. Fortunately I have google traslator as well hahahhaha
