Akim
What is Mika saying in Love today? There's a discussion about whether that line: Little tight like to tease for fun In Love Today is what it seems... Is it: Little Tyke- to suggest cheekiness i.e cheeky monkey or Little tight- to suggest "a teaser"? I'd always thought that it was "a little tight, like to tease for fun" since Mika makes that sign with his forefinger and thumb to suggest "tightness or small"...but maybe its not??? What are your thoughts on this?
Hannah
I'm pretty sure it's "a little tight."
CazGirl
i used to think it was tyke until i read the lyrics lol. "tight" is when you're not prepared to let yourself loose. i remember my friends asking me when i was 11 or 12 if i was tight or loose. if i were tight, it meant i was too shy to kiss a boy, if i were loose, i would, and...maybe do other things that children of that age shouldn't do. "a little tight, like to tease for fun." --> having someone on, you get them all geared up for it with words, but when it comes to action it's a no-go place! answer your question? DaMango
When I first heard it, I thought it was "little tart", which would have been a cute lyric. IMO.
Guest
Mmmm... I still think it's 'Little Tyke' I know the booklet says differently, BUT: If anyone remembers Fall Out Boy, they always changed the lyrics to the songs in the booklet. i.e.: "Kisses on the necks of 'Just Friends'" was in the booklet, but Pat always said in interviews it was really 'Best Friends' Plus, is anyone %100 sure what the line before 'Wait til your mama and your papas gone' is? I always thought it was 'Get in the groove when the beat busts on, beat busts on, beat busts on.' But everyone says it's 'Girl in the blue with the big bust on'

Maybe it's a bit like the bore/whore thing and he reserves the right to interchange tyke and tart!?

lollipop_monkey
The secret to figuring out confuzzling Mika lyrics is to dig up a live/acoustic version. In this version of "Love Today" I'm 99.9% sure he says "Little tight." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAFp5XjOpZA Cheers!
